After we browsed the gift shop we walked out to the main bus stop and took the bus to AK!

Great pictures Shelly! We stayed there for a couple nights in 2008 and I thought it was so beautiful - and it was rainy!
Looking forward to hearing what all you did at AK. Was the wind cold? That's what I hate about winter here - I can handle cold temps, but the wind is what kills me.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Nope, the wind wasn't cold. Just really strong!

Wow, POR looks beautiful! Loved the update! It also looks like there was some good Christmas merchandise...I wish we were going at Christmas time this year!

Awesome pictures of POR Shelly. Definitely have to plan to stay there some times.

Yes, there was Christmas merchandise everywhere! :santa: Everybody should see Disney at Christmas time at least once!

Hello TR friends! :goodvibes

I apologize for the delay in posting an update, it has been a very busy weekend! The Star Wars concert was last night. The boys loved it!! DH and I, well we aren't really into Star Wars, so we thought it was okay, but it was worth it for the kids! I'll try to get my pics uploaded to share if there are any SW fans out there who would like to see! :darth:

And I am planning to do a TR update today too! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad the boys had a good time! I thought about it last night! Obviously the force was with them!!! :darth: :yoda: :chewy:

Good morning,

I'm glad to hear that the boys enjoyed the Star Wars concert. I am so not a Star Wars fan but I know my son would have loved it. I look forward to seeing pics.

Love the POR pics! It looks so calm and serene there.:lovestruc

So glad you guys had a nice time at the concert. I can't wait to hear all about the boys' reactions. What a neat way to end Thanksgiving vacation.
I thought about you guys yesterday- wondering if you were there yet.

I'm looking forward to more pics and the rest of the story, as they say- to your TR.:goodvibes

Thanks for taking the time to do it- I'm enjoying it a lot.

Jo

Awww, I feel all special and mushy 'cause you thought about me at Disney. Wait, you kinda sorta thought about me.....I'll still take it as a compliment.:lmao:

I get migraines all the time. My neurologist said to keep lemons and lemon juice handy as lemons are a natural antihistamine and help the blood flow. If you can't get lemons, drink some really strong lemonade. It really does help.

You should feel special!

I seem to be getting them more and more. :sad2: I hadn't heard that about lemons before. Too bad I didn't know that. There's always that really strong lemonade at Disney! I'll keep that in mind for next time. A lot of times I think I need caffeine. That's why I bring my own Mtn Dew to WDW. They don't sell it. But most times I could feel a migraine coming on I was in the parks and my Mtn Dew was pack in the room! :faint:

These tips are great!! I am a sinus/migraine/allergy sufferer also...dh has asked me if I want to go to a neurologist, but I don't know. I really can't tell when they are coming until I start to have it...no day before warning for me. So, I couldn't actually plan a Drs appt while I am having one. But I do know perfumes/room sprays..whatever, with a floral smell kill me. I looooove citrus smells tho...its all I can handle! Shelly..your pics are great! I love the one your son took of the squirrel...too sweet!!

I'm here finally! I haven't been Dis'ing for a few days. Time to catch up!!! I'll probably wait until I get home to read though so I can see all the pictures.

Stupid work.... :headache:

Just wanted to let you know I am here!!! popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Okay, so when I left off it was Sunday November 8th and we had just taken a POR tour and were on our way to AK.

It was probably around 11:00 when we got to AK.

First thing we did was head for EE to get some fastpasses for later. Just DS10 and I ride this. DS8 is not interested and that is fine with DH, he could care less about riding it! I can't remember the stand-by wait time, but I think it was something like 30 minutes. Not bad, but we knew we wanted to get lunch first. So we grabbed our fastpasses and then headed back across towards Pizzafari. On the way we stopped at a few shops. We were in search of something DISer Trixiequilts wanted me to pick up for her. (more on that later) But we didn't see it. We knew that AK or AKL was going to be the only place to have it, so we were hoping it would be somewhere at AK since we had no plans to go to AKL. We got to Pizzafari before 11:30 and they weren't too busy.

I had a Cheese Pizza and a salad. DH had the Hot Italian Style Sandwich and chips. We both had some kind of strawberry pudding parfait for dessert - it wasn't very good. kids both had pizza, cookies, carrots, and grapes.

The food was good. Nothing spectacular, but not terrible either. We used 4 CS credits and the total bill was $40.

From there we took a little walk past the Tree of Life.

And then headed for Dinosaur. Wait time said 20 minutes, but it was more like 10.

We are in the back row here. I'm pretty sure DS8 is hiding! :rotfl: He just doesn't really care for Dinosaur. :confused3 DS10 didn't used to like it either, but he really liked it this time. DH thinks it's a bit rough!

DisneyNovember2009114.jpg

After that DS10 and I went back to EE to use our fastpasses. After 2 rides on it in a row I had enough. Going backwards never got to me before, but it did this time. :confused3 DS10 LOVED it as always! A couple of pictures from on the ride ~
