9/7/06 10 night Wonder Southern Caribbean "Cruising in WONDERland!"

Were all of you throwing your cameras in just have an excuse to buy a new one?

I am a little peeved at myself for forgetting to look for/at the new underwater digitals. (I don't even know if shutters had them). DH really could of used one since for some strange reason his digital kept turning off when he was snorkelling -- we have an underwater casing for our digital.
It was extrememly frustrating for him to say the least!

LOL......I bought an Olympus 720sw for the cruise. It allows you to go 10 feet deep underwater for up to an hour and it is shock resistance up to five feet. I have some great pictures....I will post later in the my trip report.

Ok, this poster says he/she was on the 10 day Wonder cruise and has got 3 small litho's in the mail as a Thank You for sailing with Disney. I've called DCL and they have not a clue as to what I'm talking about.

Has anyone else recieved these?

Yep! His lip - I think GoofyGuy (and family) were snorkeling at the same place/time. Dh said that one hurt the longest (3 hrs) of any of the jellyfish stings he received on this trip. DH grew up near the ocean (and goes to beaches on a regular basis) and this was the first time that he had ever been stung! LOL!
I think he was stung 3 times on this trip - all different beaches!

No prints in the mail here, either!

I am trying to decide if I am going to take the 3 younger kids to WDW in Oct (for a quick 4 day trip)...... I mentioned to dh that I was thinking about doing a short, fun trip with them while he was out of town and he was ready to make the ressies! LOL!
You can tell he is the *fun* one -- I told him that I first needed to check the kids schedules, etc..... He told me that there is nothing that they are doing that is more inportant then me taking them somewhere for a weekend.

Decisions....decisions......

8ds wants to go to DL..... I'm thinking that if we choose that direction that I may be able to talk one or two of you into meeting us there for a day.....

At DL do they have the easy transportion like they do at WDW & DCL? I don't want to touch my luggage! LOL!

Hey those time frames work out for me also!! We are still working out the details and really still waiting on word about my friend before we do anything. I would LOVE to go to Germany & Switzerland. I was looking at the Disney Adventure stuff online yesterday and was like OH! ME! LOL I ordered myself a dvd to get more of a look at my options on it.!

One of the great things about the Adventures by Disney is that with that you don't have to touch your luggage, either!!!! Isn't that wonderful????

LMAO! Had I have known she was trying. I might have got out there!

I told y'all to hang out with them! I tried to get Carlin to hang out with them, too!

LOL I think I was sold at the "We handle all luggage!" There is nothing worse than doing a land tour and having to lug your luggage all over with you.


I wasn't as free to hang out as Carlin was. Next time I vote for an adult only Disney cruise!!

That is GREAT Steph! Our schedules are so nuts here- though fall trips are great there (we went 2 years ago for the Halloween party)- try to sneak in a Halloween Party as well so you can wear tjhose great family pirate costumes too!

My mom's computer has been down since before the cruise and no one can figure out what is wrong with it. It has now been shipped out to the Geek Squads Headquarters so they said she should get her computer in 5-7 days. She is dying without her computer. I just got back from my doctor and I have a hair line fracture in my left ankle. So between the walking boot I'm in and my back brace, I look like I've fell apart and been put back together!!

I hope she is OK and not in too much pain. When we talked on Castaway
Cay she had an ace bandage on her ankle/foot. I suppose this was actually the stress fracture.
Will this prevent her from running the 1/2 marathon?

I am sorry to hear Carolyn was walking aroung with a stress fracture. It sure did not stop her from moving around.

It was really a pleasure to meet with you. Its funny but you get to see the same group of maybe 40 over and over again during the entire trip. Others (Rate Queen) we hardly ever bumped into on the boat.

We have some great pictures of the four of us. I am hopefull Nutzaboutdisney is ready to do the swap of disks. It would be great fun. I know she had a lot on her plate.

Also sorry you were broken into. It is a very creepy feeling to know someone looked at your "stuff." At least it can be replaced and no one was hurt!!!

I have been busy with DGS. My daughter is finding it hard to have two at 23 months apart. She has been over often.

Yes, the first seven notes of "When you wish upon a star" from the ship's horn. I thought for sure when we passed so close to the Magic that the two ships would try to work it out that between them they could finish the song. Nonetheless, in Brent's words... the cruise was "simply gorgeous"

Alex-So sorry to hear of Carolyn's injury and about your house. My parents came back from a trip once and found their house had been broken into. It was a horrible feeling for them...I can only imagine. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been. BTW--Thanks again for the lanyards. They make it easy to spot fellow DISers, before you can begin to remember faces.

Steve--I'm going to check out the movie today. Our power went out again a few days ago (only 3 hours this time!). My wireless router hasn't been working since it came back, so I haven't been downstairs in my office as much now that the computer is tied to the modem.

I'm so bad, I haven't started my trip report. It's probably not worth it now. I'm going to read some of the others to hopefully get inspiration. I did work on the photos, so I'm ready to share when the info comes out.
