Moonlight Magic Entrance and Magic Band

Has anyone had experience using Magic Band for MM entrance?

My Magic Band did not work on 09/01 and I’m wondering if me merging my reservations was the reason or if it just tends to not work for many people. I’m glad I was old school and printed my confirmation to make it fast and easy.

They have always asked to scan the QR code from the DVC card.

The MB doesn’t work for entry.

Okay so that makes sense why it didn’t work then . They did try though. We entered from inside the park not the entrance

I am pretty sure that our magic bands were scanned for entry a year ago … we did add MM to our plans on MDE prior

I'm an AP holder and we visited this summer for the MM event in July.

I had purchased a GOTG LL, and as you mention you don't scan your MB to get in to the event. I asked several cast members if I could use my LL since I didn't scan my MB as you do for normal entry, nobody knew.

I went to guest relations and stood in line for 30 minutes or so, and they didn't know either. Eventually the cast member at GC just scanned my MB, and typed on her iPad and said that she had checked me in as if I used the turnstiles.

Lesson learned, for my next MM if I have a LL I'll just tab in as normal and then collect the wrist band afterwards.

Good to know. We’re going to MM at AK in December, and I’m sure we’ll want to enter early with a LL for Safari.
