Now I am not sure who to trust. Scissors or no scissors? That is the question.

LOL when I saw that it was mailed from Disney. I required no scissors! I found that little flap and just ripped away!!

Ok I'm going to admit this! I met my mother at the McD's across from the college to pick up my package. It was FULL of college kids and here I was in the parking lot doing the Document dance as best as I could. Needless to say, many stopped to stare at me!

Is there any way to acquire cash on board? Trying to determine how much to bring.

I've done some checking and haven't found anything on any FAQ. Here, DCL or DCL's TA website. Other cruise lines will cash a personal check up to a certain amount. I want to say 250.00. But I'm not sure if Disney follows this practice or not. I don't remember seeing an ATM, but then again. I don't remember seeing those darn fish beside my stateroom door either.

Guest Services will cash travelers checks for you. That might be safer than carrying large sums of cash.
There is no ATM machine on board the ship

He said he did the doc dance while pulling the little white tab at the top of the package and it zipped right open...no scissors required...:

I came home from work and they were on my doorstep. I have to confess I too used scissors (and this is my 7th DCL cruise).

Your whole description on how you tried to open the docs was absolutely hysterical. After reading what you did, I heard a knock on the door. Yep, it was the DOCS. I went straight to my kitchen drawer and pulled out a knife. Tab, what tab. A large knife worked just fine. Called Dh at work so we could do the dance over the phone together.

FYI--- I called Disney to get my tracking number. I tracked it online and it went to 8 different stops including 4 states.

No docs for me yet...I went through an online TA so that will add a few days to the process. I am now prepared to look for the pull tab so that I can open mine in a calm and civilized manner.

DH is thrilled that his first contribution to this board gave all of you something to laugh about. He's just that laid back kind of guy that would look for a pull tab....or just use his teeth to rip it open ...

PS...Glad you got your docs!!! I wouldn't want to have to auction your two dinner spots on e-bay! Thanks to your DH (and you) for the help getting my photos on...

PLEASE PLEASE refrain from patting Leira1989 on the back for her witticisms ( sp?, I don't know, but its too late at night to go look for a dictionary) with each new pat on the back she gets, her head is expanding exponentially which is drastically reducing my share of the stateroom space ( Steph, I may have to retract that I was only kidding about the upgrade to #8530). If it gets any worse I may have to set my bed on end & sleep sitting up in my mobility scooter.

Hi there,

I fell asleep last night laying down with the little ones at bedtime and had to catch up this morning.

Congrats to all who have their docs. We got ours on Friday of last week and believe it or not I did some strange sort of dance without even knowing I had to do one! My ds (3) said "Mommy, there's no music, why are you doing that?"

I got the kids clothes packed for WDW so I'm slowly getting things ready around here!

You guys are all a hoot! Thanks, Stephanie for your kindness and doing all that you do for this group! We will find our way to meet you all (and sneak for ice cream for DJ as well) on the 7th.

Is there anything I can bring for the sail away party, or anything else for that matter to help out with the group? I know we are kind of behind here, but we're really looking forward to it!!!! Maybe mini bubbles to share or something? Just pm me or let me know -- we'd love to get involved!

w00t! Mama looked at a fish finder and said she could make me one. But most likely my dad will have to do it. He's the one who can sew, not she or I. I'm getting my stuff ready to ship! Got the grumpy bag layed out and ready to put stuff in it. HMMM to find a box big enough now! UPS store here I come!! I CAN NOT find any magnetic tape anywhere either!? What is up with that??

Did yall see? A major tropical depression is coming off the coast of Africa. Local weather people are saying it will take it a week or more to get here. Here's hoping it doesn't amount to much!!

Just bring yourselves! I will have some sodas (we're shipping Pepsi, Diet Pepsi & Diet Mt Dew - so, there willb e something besides Coke products!) & water available. And then there will be snacks.

SInce we are shipping UPS ground we won't have to worry about a *mess*. DH has shipped many liquids over the last 27 yrs........ He started as a shipper for the CO he works for...

I didn't want to hassle with a grocery stop. I'm afraid if we stopped I owuld have kids (and dh!) wanting to put in *orders*. So, we have spent that last 2 wks filling up the entryway with stuff to ship.
23dd Tink_9 (her b-day is today!!!!) is coming over this afternoon with the stuff she wants to ship.

Your Dal Buddy was beautiful! We are feeling very guilty about leaving our Dal Casper home for this trip. (he is very attatched and gets stressed when we are away).
