We did the DDP last year and had so much fun with it. We used two meal tickets a piece and went to the castle for dinner ... it was so much fun. Ed had the lamb shank which was heavenly, I would do that next time, can't even remember what I ate. (it was that memorable) We also ate at Boma at AK lodge ... the best part was the zebra domes, which can also be purchased at Mara, their convenience store, you get 4 of those heavenly things as a snack credit. If I'd found that out sooner all of our snack credits would have been used that way.

You can email me if you have any questions about it, I looked at the food pictures on the Dis before our trip and had a fairly good idea what we wanted to eat. Somebody on the boards went to the effort to categorize it all here; http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1346838 or see it in the original thread; http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=773269

We are still counting on doing the Eastbound Repo, there is just not anything available. We decided to put our money into the 5 day Bahama cruise that happens right after the Repo. The dream is, that we get to do both cruises -- 20 nights aboard ship with 3 trips to CC sounds like heaven to us :cloud9:

I'm going to have to try those! You read so much about them on the boards!! We've never been to AKL. We may need to eat there next time.....

I forgot you were never on the Magic. You will love the big screen on deck. We watched movies every night under the stars. We went on Magic right after it came out of dry dock. We were not as thrilled with the Wonder but thanks to all of you, it was wonderful.

The Wonder has those things and more now! :dance3:

The only warmth I ever feel in California is San Diego. :cloud9: I would rather be in hot, humid Florida anytime.

The last time I as in San D was the end of June and when the sun went down we needed a light jacket or sweater! But, that was the same as it had been a few years earlier (same time of year) in Mt Prospect! LOL!

I will take any ship, Wonder or Magic. :lmao: :lmao:

Speaking of Mt. Prospect:confused: Do you need to see your aunt this year??? :cloud9:

I was double checking w/my OB that I had the all clear to go on whatever I wanted at WDW next week...I'll be 8 weeks post csection and I got the all clear.. Anyways to the point. She was telling me about these and she said her kids lovingly referred to them as Zebra Butts, they are 7 and 9. :rotfl:

My 9ds would love that! :lmao:

Things are getting more and more hectic around here. We close on the house friday, I have projects due all week, and I am supposed to be packing too. Oh yea working too. Matt doesn't help pack :confused3 and my mom love to pack but is extremely allergic to my 2 kitties.:sad1: She said she got medicine and would come help me again if I put the cats up (she is also afraid of cats). We will see how much I can get done by myself.

Oh and I am leading a scavanger hunt for our cruise, but at least that can wait.

I think I am done making dining reservations for out May trip. I have changed them 5 times. We are doing
Hoop Dee Doo Revue- I LOVE this it has become one of my favorite things at WDW.
Crystal Palace- B- we are paying for this one
Liberty Tree Tavern-D
50's Prime TIme-D
Le Cellier-D
Beaches and Cream-L
Coral Reef-D
We are doing one more but it is a surprise for Matt and he reads here so I can't post it.

I might change 50's to Tonys I am not sure yet.

Here it is me who tries to get out of doing that kind of thing... unfortuantely when we remodelled last year I had to do ALL the packing -- which explains why most of the things are still in boxes all over my house! LOL!

Sounds like fun! We've only done Crystal Palace on your list -- and that was for dinner. I really hope your character interaction is better then ours was..... Only one of the characters came to our table and when we mentioned it to one of the CM's they said *they can't make special trips they have a set rotation* I guess their set rotation didn't include the large table front and center..... It was also the only resturant where we had to wait over an hr past our reservation time.....

I think LeCellier is one of David & Helen's favorite places..... David, didn't you go there for your b-day last year???

I hope your week gets better!!!!! :goodvibes pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Jill,
I'll be thinking about you and Matt today!!! I know how nerve racking it can be buying a house! Jon always feels like he is signing his life away! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: Of course he is the one that has to work to pay for them not me! ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Yep , the same here. John signed his life away,Matt and your Jon too when they signed the marriage license.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Amy is leaving this weekend for her trip!!!

Have a GREAT trip!!!

It is a weekend for out of the country travel! Michael leaves Sunday for Canada ( 3 days -- he was the only one in the IT dept that has a passport!:scared1: ) and Jon & Katherine are leaving for Hong Kong on Sunday.

The first day they are there they are going to Disneyland!!!! :dance3:

Hey Yall! I made it here safely. But boy am I exhausted! I couldn't get comfortable on the plane. So I have been up for going on 28 hours. The weather has been very unirish today. Sun shining and blue skies. But as I type this, it's starting to rain.

Tomorrow we do the ring of kerry. I'm going to try and upload them on my photobucket tomorrow night. If I can't I'll let yall know.

Steph, I hope your bunch all have great trips and travel safe.

Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA for the last couple of weeks. I talked to Cheryl...she probably thought something happened to me, so she gave a call.

We'll I see Amy is enjoying the luck of the Irish and Stephanie's family is also doing some international jet setting. Have fun to all...and safe travels.

Work is going well. I really like Build-A-Bear Workshop (I'll just abbreviate--BABW). My co-workers are great and so is my new boss! A lot of folks at work get a kick out of saying I've gone from beer to bears!

I have a lot of things to keep me busy, but not overhelmed like at AB. We are opening up a new store a week, almost, between now and November. That means talking to the media in a LOT of markets. BABW also has a partnership with Major League Baseball, so I'm arranging media coverage for mascot appearances all over the country at our stores. Today is the Phillie Phanatic! Hopefully, they will have 2 or 3 TV stations cover it. So much to do, but it's all fun. My boss already told me she wants to add to my staff, so we are looking to hire another PR person. Working for the Bear :ewok: is almost as good as working for the Mouse :smickey: !

Like Cheryl, I've had movies keeping me busy on Friday nights. I'm doing more tonight at another theatre. Yep, I'm not letting in grass grow under my feet. Gotta save up cash for the BIG cruise I let my friends talk me in to:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: ! Seriously, I have missed chatting with you all.

Stephanie, I love the pics of Elvis and Samantha! She has great beauty, balance and acting skills...too much in one package...a triple threat!

Well, I better get ready to go movie watching. I'll try to check in more frequently...I MISS Y'ALL!

Take care,
Crystal

We're a few hundred miles away on the east coast and it's been about three degrees here today with rough seas and high winds - how I long for Castaway Cay. ;)

Have a brilliant holiday in the Emerald Isle and give my regards to my Celtic cousins.

Thanks, it went very smoothly. Now we are cleaning and boy is it messy. They left a bunch of stuff too. We still aren't decided on paint colors but we called a painer to get an estimate. We were going to do it ourselves!

That's bad about the Cyrstal Palace. I have been every year and that has never happened but I would of complained. Last time Eeyore didn't come and we said something and they brought him right over, so whoever told you no was wrong! I have been to dinner here too but now LOVE breakfast because we go in before the park opens and it is empty(makes for great picks).
I have heard Le Cellier is amazing and I hope it is I love steak.

Crystal! We are so glad that you are enjoying your new job!!!! That can make a big difference!
Thank you for the compliments on my sweet girl! She'll be 16 in a couple of days.... Where has the time gone???? :confused3 :confused3
Michael turned 27 this past Friday.... I'm OLD! LOL!

I had to get out mine & Samantha's passports to renew them this month & when Elvis saw mine he said *So, you only got those wrinkles in the past 10 yrs?* :rotfl:

Oh my! It's already been up near 80 for a few weeks here.... ;) Of course I'll be complaining this summer when it's 100 out! :rotfl:

Michael is in Nova Scotia (Canada) and the high is supposed to be 19 today...

I'm glad you're done with the closing! Jon HATES to paint but, it wasn't until this last summer when we had the downstairs redone that I let him hire painters. ;) I really dislike paying someone to do something that i know we can do! :rotfl:
I can't paint anything past waist high..... I have vertigo so, I can't do ladders or keep my head rasied up to paint without feeling sick.....

I'm glad they were nice to you at the CP! We were quite surprised at their attitude towards us. We didn't let it spoil our day! :) Pooh was the ONLY character that came to our table. We saw the others walking around to all the other tables......
What character wouldn't want to experience this ???

I am jealous again. :lmao: I need details on Hong Kong Disney , lots of details!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2:

I'll upload some of the pics Jon took last year -- it may take a day or so.... None of the photos are on my computer but, I know they are on Elvis's & I have a cd of them somewhere.....;)

I think LeCellier is one of David & Helen's favorite places..... David, didn't you go there for your b-day last year???:

Yes we like Le Cellier and we did go there for my 40th birthday last year and a few days ago I made a phone call to ensure we are going there for my 41st this year !!

Last year they treated me like royalty and called me King David (because of all the castles in Wales apparently), and we had a brilliant time.

Next year on the 1st of September (my birthday) we get off the Disney Magic after the 15 day Panama Canal repo cruise and guess where I intend going that evening for my birthday dinner ??? - that is, if we can fit any more food in following a 15 day cruise !! :rotfl2:

Le Cellier is VERY busy but we liked the food and the attentiveness of the staff there.

Sorry to hear about the Crystal Palace - we've been there twice for buffet breakfasts (and going again in August this year) and found it excellent. On the last occasion, we didn't have a reservation and just wlked to there door and straight-in. The time before, we arrived 30 minutes early (VERY unlike me) and were still able to go straight in.

Helen is in full scale planningmode with our Disney Dining Plan and making ADRs here, there, and everywhere - I just let her get on with it - it's easier.

By the way Steph, I forgot to mention I finally got round to havng my chest x-ray the other week and results are all clear - as expected really - and I have finally cleared of that persistent chest infection that started on the cruise last September - :cool1:

David

Whilst having a look through some of our photos just now I came across this, so I thought I'd post it - it's Bethan in the National Costume of Wales - some of you may have seen her wearing it on the cruise.......
