I wish we could just go and buy new clothes when we get there! LOL! At least when we go to alot of places (like WDW) I know if we need to we can buy entire outfits! LOL! But, there is very little to choose from on DCL! I know because I tried to buy new stuff on our last couple of cruises! LOL! I bought a cute *sweatsuit* type capris & jacket in Feb on DCL & at the GF.

I HATE packing!! I put it off as long as possible. Usually I'm like your husband and I'm up at the last minute putting the stuff in the suitcase. I have it all together, but it's just the finale act of puting it in the suitcase that gets me.

I've even got a detailed spreadsheet list of what is going and where. It's broke down, by whats going in the main suitcase, backpack, and carryon.

I don't know how you do it with kids. I had Ethan today and I couldn't do ANYTHING!! His wanting to "help" was just about more than I could take! :rotfl:

My poor husband had to work all weekend, but the kids and I just got home from Downtown Disney...had to pick up a few more "must haves!" for the trip. :teeth: I can't believe the trip is nearly here. Now if that pesky storm would just turn, or better yet, disappear! :sunny: It would be nice to still have a house when we get home!

Speaking of my house...My BIG FUN this weekend started when I noticed TWO upstairs toilets in our 1 month old home are leaking (through the ceiling...gross!) :sad2: Of course the construction company warranty department is closed for the holiday weekend, so the next two days should entail more BIG FUN chasing down plumbers, mold/microbial guys, drywall guys, etc. :furious: One reason we decided to build was to avoid this type of experience. :confused3 Okay, done venting! Thank goodness we're setting sail Thursday.

Safe travels to the port. This cruise is going to be awesome!

:sail: :boat: :dance3:

We are done packing!!! I am amazed. I only have to load up DS's backpack (our only carryon) with his gameboy, my book..headphones for the trip down.

I'm amazed that I am done, so unlike me. For once, I can rest the night before we leave :goodvibes

Great news Amy. :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

Does anyone have the site where you can track stormson the internet? I believe Carol posted it but I can not find the site. :teeth:

I've been going to wunderground.com.

They predicted TS6 would go right and head up the Atlantic yesterday.

Carol

I'm all packed except for the toiletries! We will do that tomorrow night and then Wed morning load up the car and off we go!!! :dance3:

Thanks Carol! I went back to find your old post. DH likes the site better than noaa.com It is easier to navigate on. :thumbsup2

While you are packing, don't forget the Wine. :rolleyes1 :grouphug:

That's packed in my carry on! I didn't want to take any chance of it getting broken1 :thumbsup2

It is going to be VERY hard to get through work tomorrow. Poor me. ;)

Cheryl...we can check two each...but originally they told us we could check 3 each because of the changes...so that is how we packed...so now I have to try and cram 6 suitcases worth of stuff into 4 and we were busting the 6! :lmao:

Steph - you sound like my DH - he thinks I am crazy to be sweating this, I just travel too much and know how TSA throws/moves stuff around when they are going through things and I'm just a little OC about my belongings. And, we are not going to be able to bring some of the things we were going to because they just won't fit. Sorry guys, no cheese curds or wisconsin cheddar :sad2:
Oh what a shame! Midwest flys smaller planes, so I know they have limited cargo space but it doesn't seem fair if they change their minds about how many pieces you can check on a daily basis. What would have happened if you hadn't called?

Southwest still has 3 person listed on their website and that's what I'm going by. We actually have extra room. We're checking seven pieces for three people to make sure I have room for some of the shipped items that need to come home with us (and any shopping...of course).

Well, Linda...take a deep breath...it's going to be OK. And I was so looking forward to those cheese curds (smile).

And we are now PACKED!!!!!

I think so anyway. :)

I had a store refusal today, so I was able to get one of tomorrow's store visits early. That means we may be able to leave here around lunchtime tomorrow and get to WDW a little bit sooner. At this point, I really can't decide what I'm more excited about -- going on the cruise or getting to see what's new on PotC! pirate:

Ceila gave me a hint about wrinkle release. :thumbsup2 Someone she knew had it explode in her checked luggage. :teeth: Make sure you leave room for air to expand in side the bottle. I just poured some into a container to leave at home.

Yikes...wish I knew about that earlier! I shipped mine. But I did send it UPS Ground...not in a non-pressurized cargo hole. Hopefully it didn't explode (it was in a ziploc bag too).

Hi All,

Glad to see that things are getting packed. ;) Not much new here today as I was running around, did a little shopping with my sister who came to visit, and then had a Labor Day cookout this evening with friends and family.

Carol - I'm assuming you are flying. Are you allowed to pack the wine on your carryon??? I know some airlines will not allow ANY liquids due to the heightened security. :confused3

Travel safe, for those of you leaving in the next two days. Janelle, DJ and I don't fly out until early Thurs morning. At this rate, it'll be here before I know it!!! :sunny:

Have a good night, all!
Karen

We are arriving in Orlando on Wednesday afternoon. We are thinking of driving over to WDW area before heading to Canaveral for the night. Can anyone suggest things we can do around WDW that does not require a park ticket?

Thanks

I hope work flys by for you. :wizard: DH has conference in Chicago Wednesday. I am just taking the train in with him so time goes faster. :teeth: I do not want to sit at home by myself. Wednesday late afternoon , I am going to a spa to get the works. Not that it will help, but time will go faster. :rotfl2:

All packed and ready to drive up to Calgary tomorrow after work. It only took 3 attampts to fit it all in (including the liquids and toiletries which are usually in my carry on!) :D I only had to remove 2 outfits which I really didnt need anyway, and if I hadnt bought new things this weekend - thinking they would be great for work after all would have been ok! LOL

Hope I am under the limits. I weighed it on my "oh so accurate" scale in my bathroom so heres hoping it is a bit more accurate with luggage than me! *giggle*

We decided to take a case of water with us so I have a 2nd little suitcase for that and our shoes :D :D :D We only have a couple of pairs each so t isnt too bad lol

Off to check my tv listings to set the VCRs to tape Big Brother, Survivor and Amazing Race...........yup, I lead an exciting life

There are lots of outlet malls I love. There is even a huge Disney outlet store where I always find great deals. :thumbsup2 Also there is Old Town to just spend some time.
