I'm hoping that the TS will take a turn to the right and go up toward Burmuda. Or Fizzle out!!

Me TOO...Amy...I will be watching it..they update again at 11 pm tonight.

Karen...I have my shampoo and stuff in ziplock bags and then in the plastic thing that is in the suitcase...

Yup, I'm waiting for that 10pm (my time) update. They will update again at 1am, 4am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, and at 10pm.

I don't think it will effect the shuttle launch. The storm will still be to far out to effect it.

Hi Steph. How are your kids doing in anticipation of the cruise? I bet it is getting to be hectic there! I remember when my kids were young and anticipating vacation.

I don't know who talks about the trip more...the kids....or....dh! LOL! If the kid & I could take another week & a half away dh would be on the 11day, also! LOL!
Alex (firsttimer) I told dh that y'all were going to be on both!

According to the Weather Underground Tropical Depression 6 will probaby turn north and go up to mid Atlantic. I hope they are correct.
They are at wunderground.com

I got DH packed up tonight. Turns out I have to go buy him a new white shirt to wear with his Tux. The water in Florida sometimes leaves yellow spots on clothes that can't be removed. His had one big one right in the front so I had to throw it away. Luckily that is the worst.
Off to the Mall tomorrow!

.which means making room as well as risking shampoo filled formals.

But better we find out now then at the airport, I guess. YUCK

I have been packing shampoo in my luggage for at least 20yrs and I have NEVER had it leak onto my clothes! I have always put it in a ziploc baggie and I have had it once leak a little into the baggie -- just a few drops because the top got pressed down and slightly opened. My perfume & dh's colonge has always been inour checked luggage. We have never packed our liquid stuff in our carry-ons -- only in our checked luggage and not once has anything leaked or been ruined.
I put everything in ziplocks. DH doesn't even do that! LOL!

I hope that makes you feel a little better! :)

I have made terrific progress today - all four of us are packed. Now all that needs to be done is the toiletries and medicines. I finally finished my fish extender... not as elaborate as some of the more crafty members of our group have done... but Im pretty happy with it. Also made some door magnets too.

I sure hope that TS doesnt come my way. It will be really hard to enjoy myself not knowing if my house is affected. We should have a much better idea come Wed or so - at this point the forecasters cant really tell much.

When you mentioned the comments about the RV's it made me laugh so hard! With our tickets we were able to walk around between them and I was offered booze and witnessed parties to rival Jimmy Buffet concert goers tailgate parties! I even saw a girl passed out with her -um- top exposed! it was diffently an experience.

Happy B-day Season!

My mom's b-day is on the 5th. She still has her cold so if she doesn't get better she will be opening her presents at home instead of at a nice dinner. She better be better since we leave early on the 6th!

Hey Steph, when you buy your extra DCL suitcase, pack me in instead of goodies. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I would love to be gone for 21 days of crusing with Mickey.

I had a great time at the drive-in movie next door. The original Herbie was great. We all had glow jewelry to wear, bags of popcorn, old-fashioned candy, and even the ads shown in a drive-in theater. Of course the margaritas were a little extra bonus. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I so hope you are right Carol. I just bookmarked your site. :thumbsup2

I am jealous you got your DH to wear a tux. The only time mine wore a tux was our prom, our wedding, and then the children's weddings. :rotfl: I have a hard enough time just to get him in a tie. :lmao: ;)

We just called our airline and they told us they are no longer letting people check and extra bag of liquid stuff. This is huge for us...I now have to unpack and find a way to pack all of our liquids back in with our clothes...which means making room as well as risking shampoo filled formals. Also, we may end up having to leave some fish extender gifts home now because it is too late to ship.... :sad2: :sad2:

But better we find out now then at the airport, I guess. YUCK

Linda, are you allowed to check one bag per person or two. :confused3 UAL lets us check two each and a carry-on. So far we are only checking 3 and two carry-ons. We are just to old to push around six suitcases. :teeth: I still have not packed yet but this is the plan so far. :rolleyes1

I just e-mailed out the spreadsheet to anyone who asked for one (and a few extra people if I had their e-mail address)...so check your mail and if it didn't go through, please let me know and I will resend.

Cheryl...we can check two each...but originally they told us we could check 3 each because of the changes...so that is how we packed...so now I have to try and cram 6 suitcases worth of stuff into 4 and we were busting the 6! :lmao:

Please don't tell DH that John is not wearing a tux because my DH did pack his and I want him to wear it, since I am dressing up. Hopefully, John won't tell him during the guy's lunch.

Steph - you sound like my DH - he thinks I am crazy to be sweating this, I just travel too much and know how TSA throws/moves stuff around when they are going through things and I'm just a little OC about my belongings. And, we are not going to be able to bring some of the things we were going to because they just won't fit. Sorry guys, no cheese curds or wisconsin cheddar :sad2:

NO Wisconsin cheddar? None at all??? :scared1:

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to make do with the low-quality run-of-the-mill slop they sling at us. I don't know how I manage to eat a single bite on these Disney cruises... :lmao:

Geez Louise, these next two days of waiting are gonna be such a pain in the hinder...

Wow, it is almost here!!!

We are leaving at 6am on Tuesday. Everything is laid out and ready to pack. Except, since we don't drink, DH works with a guy who owns a winery near us and he got 3 bottles of wine to share. He said he couldn't choose so he got 1 of each. They will be here tomarrow. We are driving so getting them there will be easy. Hope yall like wine!!!! ;) (he is very excited about this cruise finally)

Well I had better finish dinner!! Tommorrw is my mom' s b-day and I HAVE to finish packing.

It looks like we are going to average about one bottle of wine per person for the party. :drinking1
Should be interesting! party: :dance3: :rainbow: :upsidedow :faint:

Hey all ... quick check in here ... up to my eyeballs in packing :cool1:

Anybody notice Tropical Depression #6 our there??

Just to be ornery, I'm thinking I need to order lotsa Hurricanes on the ship Thursday/Friday/Saturday.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm almost hoping that we have to change the itinerary a bit and do a double dip at CC. That may bum out some folks, but I'd rather spend an extra day there relaxing if possible.

Linda dont worry - my DH and DS are both wearing tuxes for formal night.

Our first 4 cruises DH just wore a dark suit but then last year I rented him one and he liked it. So this year I bought him one - LOL. I was able to get DS one too and I have the most Stunning picture of my DH and DS from last years repo cruise in front of the mickey statue at Lumieres. DS still isnt crazy about wearing it but too bad. He is only 8 so he has no say :rotfl2:

Really hoping that Trop Depr 6 stays away from Florida.

Hope everyone enjoys their day off!!!!
