I can't be the only one with a purse for ID's and paperwork and such.

I do carry some type of bag (this trip it might be a really cute Brighton straw purse I bought last week!) with me on the plane to hod my *Disney Notebook*, all of our transfers, etc... Medication for everyone, bandaids, etc.... Since I am *in charge* of quite a few people I do need a bag to hold everything.

I am inserting everyone's favorite chracters onto Rate Queen's spreadsheet. If you would like a copy of the spreadsheet, PM me and I will be e-mailing them out Sunday afternoon to you.
We are still missing characters for lots of people... While it would be great to have them for everyone, it would be especially nice to have the favorite characters of kids who have birthdays while we are on board. Thanks to everyone who has supplied theirs already! :thumbsup2

And just like the shuttle we're into the final stages of the countdown... :rotfl:

Season's started packing hers and Mac's clothes. Thank goodness we're driving down and not flying, I don't think we'd ever make the 50-pound limits on any of our bags! :scared:

We're going down Tuesday afternoon after I finish my store visits so we can spend a day at WDW before the cruise and see what changes they've made to PotC... pirate: Maybe if the shuttle DOES launch on time we can see it from Tomorrowland -- though how cool would it be to be standing on the deck of the Wonder and see it go up?

I'm in the midst of whipping out door magnets myself... hopefully anyone who stumbles across our stateroom door will have a good laugh (and hopefully my mother-in-law won't take down the one I'm making for their door on her birthday!) party:

And okay, I have to ask as I'm just too lazy to dig through the 259 pages of this thread -- what in the world is a 'fish extender?' :confused3

Make sure you do not buy all the suitcases on the boat. We are only checking three so just in case I might have to buy one for my shopping habit.

LOL! I'll try not to!!! The reason I have the 2 large WDW totes is because our trip last Oct.... I can't believe I dodn't think to have *bring stuff home room* in my suitcase! LOL! Our trip in Feb. we just had verything that we bought in WDW mailed home and the bags were only needed for all the stuff we bought on the cruise! LOL!

My wife wanted me to have a sign on my birthday too, but doesn't really know how to do something like that. So, I made one for myself on her behalf. Nothing more tacky than making such a sign for myself, but if the shoe fits... :rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Now that is a SIGN!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Fish Extender: It is a "hanging thingy that has pockets for the small gifts we are giving/getting from other cruisers". There are many examples on the last few pages. You may wish to do a "search" on this thread for "fish extender" and you'll see all the different ones that were made. Chipper has a link at the bottom of her posts for ours. It hangs from the "fish clip" that is next to all the cabin doors. Hope this helps.

Or maybe she is just thinking that she can get a new one onboard!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2:
You must know my dd!!! LOL!!!

Her daddy did insist on buyin gher and 8ds the *cruise costumes* on our last cruise. They wear them all the time! We are a *dress up* *pretending* kind of family!!! Everyone but, dh & 26ds (they are just alike about that type of thing!)

The only thing she has told me she wants to bring is her Minnie her daddy bought her in Hong Kong Disney (this past April). She thinks it's funny because it has no mouth!

Okay...I am caving in...3 suitcases!

Thanks Steph...glad to see I am not the only one who carries a purse, lol. I have been looking for something in straw...yours sounds adorable. My laptop bag is a Mickey one...and doesn't have much room for the essential paperwork...I will probably use my Dooney...as it can be a backpack style purse...for more hands free... :rotfl:

heading out for lunch with dh and dd....lol...maybe do a little last minute shopping...my oldest dd needs a new comforter set and drapes for her room...she changes her mind every 6 months or so...LOL!

Have a great afternoon...I am also going to look for magnetic papers...or at least magnets to stick on the back of papers for door decorations...LOL!

It is a cute purse -- even if the leather is pink and doesn't match anything I own! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I can't wear the color pink -- I have alot of natural red in my hair but, I just loved this purse! LOL!

Have fun at lunch!

Season found the magnetic paper I'm using at Wal-Mart, with the school/office supplies. I love this stuff... :artist:

And speaking of decorations -- my first door sign of the new batch!

Personally, I don't think Don Karnage or Silver get enough credit when people talk of pirates... pirate:

Amy, your fish extender turned out adorable. I like the idea of the totes. You can just have all your goodies to bring right home unless there is lots of undies?? :rotfl: :rotfl: You sure are a good sport with all the jokes :thumbsup2

Thanks, I'm going to finish them up today. I was planning on doing that last night, but my 5 year old nephew decided he wanted to spend the night with me last night. He woke up at daylight wanting to get in the pool!

I have 5 older brothers, 1 older sister, and 1 younger brother! I've had to take more than my share of a few jokes. :rotfl2: But I can give just as good as I can take.

I am pretty sure I saw in these thousands of posts of ours :goodvibes that a few of you just returned from service abroad (either Iraq or Afganistan). Just wondering who you all are... I am very glad you will be sailing with us! (You can PM me if you prefer).

Thanks

P.S. Why aren't there any patriotic icons? :confused3

It's called staying neutral. Just like you can't find any Disney Character in a patriotic pose. At least that is the best thing I can come up with. I wanted a patriotic pose to go on our door for 9/11, but couldn't find a single character in such a pose.

EnchantedPlayhouse's dh ( Sandy's Playhouse son-in-law) just came back from Iraq!
They are already in WDW & they won't see this before the cruise which is why I'm answering for them . ;)

After 9/11 Disney did put out some Mickey patriotic stuff that DH and I will be wearing. Also, historically, there is ALOT of Donald stuff from WWII. But you are right...these boards are international, aren't they... That's what makes them great! ONE WORL...ONE MOUSE. (I have a t-shirt that says that, too.) But I saw someone else had a Uncle Sam Mickey and I thought they got it here...I'll try disney exper...

Not recently, but my husband was in Iraq in 2003-2004. He was stationed there with the Army.

I went to a Nascar even yesterday at the California speedway. I have never been to a race before and it was fun. I had the biggest root beer float you have ever seen! What I was told about the races was true- they are another bread of people. Did you know shirts were optional?

Now i am off to a birthday party for my Unlce. Every cruise related thing will ahve to be done on Monday and Tuesday!

I have done searches on both Yahoo and Google, looking for some patriotic Disney stuff and can't find anything.

Someone did (I'm thinking veranadaman on a trip report) had an OLD picture of Mickey saluting, with an American Flag behind him. It's the only thing I have seen.

:rotfl2: Welcome to the World of NASCAR!! :rotfl2:

I've experianced it twice in 96 and again in 98 at Talladege What a MAD HOUSE! 500,000.00 drunk rednecks! An those are just the ones in the seats and infield. That doesn't include those that just go and set up campers and watch the game on TV from the camp ground. :rotfl:
