Sounds like SOOOO much fun! I did a beauty parlor party for my now 20 (almost 21) year old daughter for her 3rd birthday - I made a laundry basket full of dress up clothes, applied make up, did hair and nails... it was so much fun! I know she'll love it! Enjoy these days, Mom; they pass so quickly!

Well Mini that sounds like an RSVP to me. i'll count you in. what size fairy wings should i get you. lol. The funny thing is this is not even her birthday, just a movie night promis i made prior looking at the calendar!!! For her birthday in december i'm doing a Grand Mardi Gras Meets princess and the frog party. With parade, gumbo, beads and all. (my ideas sometime get me in a pickle)

That sounds like a great birthday, I was thinking the Tinkerbell movie party was fantastic, the birthday party even more so. Your daughter will have amazing memories :)

GOOD MORNING CRUISERS!!!! What will you be doing this time next week???

If plans hold true, this time next week we'll be in Cape Canaveral :goodvibes

I am super excited :) I have to go over the list and see what I have and what I want to pick up yet, wrap the FE items, and maybe try to squeeze in a manicure/pedicure (and dare I dream, hair coloring appointment) before we leave.

:yay: Our first cruise is all the closer :yay:

Thank you, I love for little girls to be little girls, and not grow up so quick and be bombarded with all the "ills" of the world. :scared1:....

So Beans is that your RSVP.... I am going out to get fairy:tinker:: wings today...

As I was putting my FE gifts together, I realized the stuff I got for the Tween-Teen boys are not so great.... (Well my DS14 said they suck):confused3
Lets just say last year for Christmas I got him a rubex cube as a stocking stuffer...his face said a lot (but he pretended he liked it) we still laugh about that :lmao:

Any suggestions for the Tween/Teen Boys

I bet what you have will be more than fine  it will drive you nuts trying to find something to appease everyone in that (or any) age group, it's the thought that matters, and I think the kids will be thrilled that someone thought of them (I asked my son about it, and he said he would be thrilled to get anything - so I think even for the teens/tweens it will be the thought that someone shared something with them). I was having trouble with that age group too, and finally decided to listen to my husband when he said that it's the thought that counts, and the fun of participating.

Speaking of Rubix cubes, I gave one to my son (now 14) in his stocking too this past Christmas ~ he gave it a whirl, but thinks it is impossible (or witchcraft :lmao: ) to get it back in order.

We didnt divide our FE gifts by age...we did girl bags and boy bags.....we just hope that it's ok! :) Thought that counts in my book!:goodvibes

We worked on our FE gifts tonight and ran out of the little bags we were using. So off to the store after work tomorrow to get more bags.....we should finish tomorrow night with FE gifts!:cool1:

Why am I awake at 2 am? I have absolutely no idea. I hope this will not be normal thing up until the trip :( :confused3

Its because you are too excited to sleep Jen! Your body knows it is one week away!:lmao:

Good morning everyone!

One week from right now....I am driving to port! Probably drinking my Starbucks and counting down the minutes till we see the Wonder off in the distance!:cloud9:

GOOD MORNING CRUISERS!!! Kamy, I bet you will have that Starbucks! Not sure what kind of coffee I'll have a week from today, but I'll get something and get on the ship and get more if needed. I'm stoked!

Soooooo - What will you be doing one week from when you read this???? :yay:

Kamy- I hope that's not it! If so, I WON'T get any sleep from now until then!! Thankfully, I went back to bed around 2:15, laid there for a little while and woke up again at 8. :yay: Wow. I only have work days from here on out WOOT!!!

A week from right now I would have been up SEVERAL hours because I am sure I would have woke up, I would have an exciting little girl up WITH me! lol and realizing that there is a time change, I would probably be packed and standing at the door! OR I might have already dropped Mom, Karen, and Victoria off and the luggage and be heading back to Hertz to drop off the car and get them to take me back. I wanna be at the counter at 10 and be the first one one board! :yay:

This time a week from today, I'll be at the port ~ since we're first timers, I want to get there early to get a feel for things, and hopefully get in a spot to be in group 2 - group 1 is for the Castaway Cay Club folks, right? I want to make sure we get on board in an early group to have more time to look around, eat, and all that :)

Or, doesn't it matter if a first timer gets there early, will Cay Club members get in front anyway? - such as if we get there at 10 and a bunch of Members get there at noon, they get on first anyway?

I know, I worry about silly things, I'll be there early regardless :goodvibes

So everyone is wearing green leis to the Meet?

I want to get there early, because the waiting and anticipation is part of the fun for me. I used to do it as a kid going to camp, and we did it with out kids when they were going to camp. We used to do it at WDW too, but now life makes us so tired, we are content with getting up and getting there. I say all this to say - don't stress about getting there to board in a certain group if you can help it - some are just wired that way and can't help it; I get that. My experience in port has been fun and not seemed so much like waiting. Once on board, there is plenty to do, plenty to eat, and there will be plenty of time to explore. I guess what I'm saying is if you can, just enjoy the whole process and try not to start out stressing yourself about getting there.

This sounds hilarious coming out of my mouth (or hands as the case may be) to those who know me, because I want to get there so early, but I do think there's a difference between wanting to get there early to enjoy the anticipation and wanting to get there early to make sure you're in a certain boarding group. Maybe if I had ever been in a late boarding group, I'd have a different opinion too - I guess it's all relative to one's experience and expectations/desires. :confused3

That makes sense, and anticipation definitely sounds far more productive (and fun) than worry (I tend to be a worrier by nature, a quality I am trying to overcome ~ this may be a perfect opportunity to exercise a non/less-worry focus :goodvibes ). Thanks :) you helped me see it in a different perspective, and I truly appreciate that :) I am going to remind myself to focus on the anticipation, the new experience, and the fun :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Hey everyone. Home from church and getting ready for work. The service and worship were fantastic this morning:thumbsup2

One week from right now we will hopefully be boarding the ship!!!!:cool1::banana:

Mimi- I love the anticipation and waiting....meet you there early! We plan to be there by 9:30am so we can hopefully be in the same boarding group as you....remember we are having our "reunion lunch"!;)
