Capris are fine for dinner (except Palo). And to save someone from saying it, yes you will see people wearing things they should not (like shorts) - so they won't throw you out, but it does spoil the atmosphere they are trying to create so please abide by the guidelines - pretty please - and the sun will shine on you! :sunny:

NC State on TV tonight - GO WOLFACK! :cheer2:

No, I know better than to wear shorts to dinner. I was inquiring about capri suits because it wasn't clear. Thanks for the response.

Hey everyone! Just checking in.....can we go now?? LOL!:yay:

Mimi- yeah, the member cruise was amazing...so r we doing it again next year??:rolleyes1

Think I got it now:

iron - bad, wrinkles okay (I can't get the Downy stuff to work!)
Pirate Night - dress up like a pirate and look silly - guess that is okay? none of you know me anyway!:lmao:

Ready to sail!!!!

GOOD MORNING CRUISERS!

Down to single digits!!!!!!
And it's Friday - I'm with Kamy; can we go now and just stay till we're supposed to get off after our cruise???!!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Looking forward to a fun 5 day adventure!

@3xthejoy - Thanks for the Facebook info. While I am not on Facebook, my DGF is, so I forwarded the info to her. Hopefully she'll have a free minute to join. I understand packing with 2 teenage girls can be time consuming. :rotfl2:

Looks like we will be free of tropical storms (knocks on wood), so no worries...just smooth sailin'! :cool1: Everyone be good and be safe. See you soon!

Do you think it will be smooth sailing? I figured with them just being out there it would cause havoc on the seas. I saw where there is rip current warnings but they keep saying for the weekend. Do you think they will dissipate in a week? I never paid attention to the length of the hurricanes in the past. I just dont want huge waves making us rock! I dont know if I am sea sick or not!

Jen i'm not sure if we will get seasick(we dont have any other motion sickness, unless you count several rounds on the tea cups with my crazy DH) anyway I loaded up on dramamine and the chewable kind for the little man I also found a product called motion eaze its kind of like aromatherapy its an oil you put behind your ears that is supposed to help quickly if you start to feel sick its all natural and can be used in combination with the dramamine the pharmacists said she has heard good things about

I've never heard about the motion eaze! I have Dramamine, Bonnie (or something like that) and sea bands for EVERYONE! After Karen (Kamb00) raved about them, I bought all Walmart had, but 3. :lmao: I just have a thing with water and being so far out on the sea that you cant see any land....well, I dont know how I am going to take it. I think I will be OK looking really forward to it but I dont know how happy I am going to be if it is rough out there. :scared1:

@poohm - Ambyr was teling me about this the other day - it was so cute she was super excited!
I also heard that Damon is bringing his trumpet???
I wish we could leave with you guys on Thursday. It will be interresting traveling with Makenna. I hope she does good.
I can't beleive it's been 2 years since we have been "home". Just glad this time there won't be a "little bundle of joy" in the mix.

@Jen - I went to the Dr. to get the patch for Sea sickness just in case and so did my SIL. We are just a little worried with the bad weather and our families have a history of motion sickness :(

Can't wait to be Breezin' to the Bahamas.
Very excited to met everyone

I was looking at the Hilton day pass for the Nasau stop and it seems more afforadable than Atlantis - (just for the beach and pool) Has anyone ever been there???? We may just stay on the ship that day not sure yet.

I think we are doing the Hilton you can book directly with them the day of it is 5 more a person but it gives the ability to decide the day of your visit

I get motion sickness riding in the car. I cant sit in the back or read or I get sick to my stomach. I talked to my doctor about it and she said that if I get the patch, it wont do anything for hte sick feeling and it would be useless :confused3 I am not sure how it could be useless but whatever. She said she would prescribe me some pills for nausea. I was like "whatever". So I call the pharmacy to see if it was ready and they said "yes it's ready, but it is $135" I was like :scared1: I said "nevermind! I will just stock up on Dramamine!"

Ginger capsules (real ginger snaps or ginger ale with real ginger also is helpful) work well too. Those and Bonine - starting the night before sail away, one per night before bedtime - is what I do.

Jen - me too! Can't ride in the back seat! When I go on church trips, I always have to ride in the front seat of the van and get kidded about being a front seat hog!
Guess I will go get the dramimine. Last time I had the patch behind the ear but I don't have time to go to the dr. this time since we are going down early.

Need some advice: we are supposed to be picked up at the docks (sounds like a loser proposition, doesn't it!:rolleyes1) and taken to the airport but our flight doesn't leave until 3:20. Guess there really isn't time to do anything between leaving the ship and doing the airport thing is there? I thought when I started typing this that our flight was at 5:30. "Never mind," Roseanne, Rosenna-Danna (for those of you old enough to remember) used to say!

P.S. I really cannot wait to meet all of ya'll!:dance3::banana:(cept I can't dance so don't expect to see that!)

I used to have a $25 off a round trip ticket code. I will see if I can get it and I will let you have it so dont book anything before tonight. I am glad we are flying but very scared! lol I dont like flying. But I am like you. We would have to leave Friday night, and not get into port until late Saturday. Im glad we decided to fly

That's sweet of you to offer  I think we're sticking with driving (indecision should be my middle name), I just keep coming back to the feeling we should drive, even though it doesn't make sense time-wise.

The countdown :yay::yay::yay: Almost time to start packing :)

You've got it! Pirate night - for the kid in all of us!

DD (adult, I might add!) says DH and i are having waaayyyyy too much fun with our costumes! I'm thinking she is worried that we may come home with some time gaps in our memories!:lmao:
