9/26/2010 Breezin' to the Bahamas!

DD (adult, I might add!) says DH and i are having waaayyyyy too much fun with our costumes! I'm thinking she is worried that we may come home with some time gaps in our memories!

It sounds like they are going to be nice costumes, and you are getting in the spirit I have not decided if we are going to dress up or not, it sounds fun, but we tend to be inhibited (read: horribly boring ) - this may be the time to forge ahead with something though

let me ask just one more thing: do you think I can get my door magnets done in one weekend because that is all I have left!

For some reason, I have been frittering my time away getting ready for the MNSSHP and that portion of our trip as well as some planning for our grand gathering (30+ people) in Dec. and have slightly neglected this trip. You know how it is, it kinda sneaks up on you Suddenly, it is your last weekend before you leave in the middle of the next week!

Oh, and did I mention that I have never done the magnets before so I have to learn how to do them, then make them? They don't look too hard to make I just need to find them in that long string of posts. I requested them back in July and early August and I saw that they were there, I just have to go find them on the thread and print them on the magnetic paper (which I already have. Oh, and I have some of my stuff packed already. That's a plus.

Found green leis. When do we wear those? I know I joined this band of merry Bahama Breezers late so I have to catch up!

Can you tell I am starting to panic because I am typing really fast and talking to myself as I type? (course you can't hear the talking unless you know somethign I don't know)

I found the easiest way for me to do the magnets was upload the images to cvs then choose the pick up in 1 hour option--they send an email when they are ready walmart has 5x7 adhesive magnet sheets 2 in a pack for 1.97ish then just put the pictures on the magnets cut and trim as need--they look really cute
also at acmoore they have business card size sheets(same as above) I used colored paper to cover them and used my mickey punch to make small mickey head magnets in many colors(these are my fav)
also for the 2 bigger magnets that I did I also printed as pictures 8x10 and used magnet strips on the back I don't like this as much as the sheets but it will do
sorry about the book I just wrote but I love how they turned out I have them on the fridge

ok you all are gonna kill me but some might like this question i am going to ask here. (didn't want to bother my sil) could someone post not to confusing what we are supposed to wear, so we all know that we are part of the group and or what we are supposed to be putting on are doors . I have pretty much been here since the beginning and read everything but im . I know the fish extender and i know 3 pm the prominade lounge the day we board but am i missing something else? Oh and would you all mine changing rooms to daisy chain right from mine so i dont have to walk a small country much appreciated.

Jen - me too! Can't ride in the back seat! When I go on church trips, I always have to ride in the front seat of the van and get kidded about being a front seat hog!
Guess I will go get the dramimine. Last time I had the patch behind the ear but I don't have time to go to the dr. this time since we are going down early.

Need some advice: we are supposed to be picked up at the docks (sounds like a loser proposition, doesn't it!) and taken to the airport but our flight doesn't leave until 3:20. Guess there really isn't time to do anything between leaving the ship and doing the airport thing is there? I thought when I started typing this that our flight was at 5:30. "Never mind," Roseanne, Rosenna-Danna (for those of you old enough to remember) used to say!

Thanks! I appreciate it! I am looking forward to what I am doing this weekend for the cruise. I have no grading and no lesson planning, so I am just focused on cruise things!

Do you think it will be smooth sailing? I figured with them just being out there it would cause havoc on the seas. I saw where there is rip current warnings but they keep saying for the weekend. Do you think they will dissipate in a week? I never paid attention to the length of the hurricanes in the past. I just dont want huge waves making us rock! I dont know if I am sea sick or not!

Can I ask you something? Did you have some magnets made by a fellow Disser for the Breezen to the Bahamas group? If so, will you share? I just some someone make a request for some but I couldn't find where they were made or what they looked like.

Oh I will be stressing out from all the things I should have done today so that we can make our afternoo flight. Oh and I will be cleaning up after DD3 Tinker bell movie night going away slumber party ( the new movie comes out the 21st) so between stressing, cleaning and getting little fairies out of here I will be waiting to start my vacation, I'LL NEED IT!!!! I almost forgot if anyone wants to come the fairy party and help 10 little girls turn into to fairies and polish toes I'LL MAP QUEST YOU DIRECTIONS. (Its a B.Y.O.P.D.= bring your own pixie dust affair)

Sounds like SOOOO much fun! I did a beauty parlor party for my now 20 (almost 21) year old daughter for her 3rd birthday - I made a laundry basket full of dress up clothes, applied make up, did hair and nails... it was so much fun! I know she'll love it! Enjoy these days, Mom; they pass so quickly!
