9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

Hi everyone!!! Just wanted to let those of you in the Photopass share know that I pre-ordered our CD today! Got it for $99.95! With the price hike, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get it for that, but it seems it went through! Before sending out emails to everyone, I want to verify who is doing the share, and see if we have any others that want in so I know what people will owe. I have these people as being in the share:

I was on DCL's website last night and was playing with the new virtual tour of the ship. It's pretty neat. When it works.

just checked the hurricane centre, and it looks like ana and claudette are now back down to tropical depression status, and bill is aiming back out towards the ocean. fingers crossed that all goes well for when we're out there!
then again even if it doesnt, its only rain and some wind, i'll still be out there like a loony!!! just a bit wet thats all

well i'm making the most of sitting on the sofa feeling like cr*p, i'm burning cds for the road trip up to glasgow on thursday. its an 8 hour trip so we need some decent tunes!! gary's cds in his car are a bit of a strange mix.....

I hear when there are storms, they won't dock at Castaway Cay. I would be REALLY disappointed if that happened. I'm hoping it's beautiful and sunny for the cruise! Fingers crossed!

I got my documents for the land portion of my trip!!

I bought a 7 day ticket with my WL stay but I'm only staying 4 nights. I'm assuming I keep that KTTW and I'll be able to use the extra 3 days that are on it when I stay at AKV?

yes they should be fine for the AKL part. they'll expire 14 days from first use unless you've bought the non expiry option, but as long as you use them within the 14 days you'll be fine. however you will need to use your WL keycards to get access to the parks still, so you'll have to carry round the WL ones for the tickets and the AKL ones to get into your room.

oh yeah, i got my confirmation through today too. only problem is that its for the free dining ASM, which i cancelled at the weekend!! lol

waiting for my DVC confirmation to come through, but then again my DVC renter will be too, as i wont pay her til it comes through!!

That's what I figured. Thanks. I wonder if there's a way to get the remainder transfered onto my AKL card so I don't have to carry around both. Not like it's a big deal but it makes it a bit more convenient!

i dont think so but it'd be worth asking when you check in. the KTTW cards are so small you probably wouldnt notice having to carry round one more card anyway!

OMG I am going crazy!! If they don't give out our stateroom number soon, I might lose it!! I have check 4 times just today!! If I have to wait until Thursday when it is 35 days, or, even worse -- when it is 30 days -- I think that will be then end of it for me!!

I need a GTY Support Group!!

i've been checking 3 or 4 times a day too mary, jenny you're lucky you've got a room number, otherwise you'd probably be doing the same thing!!

it takes a special kind of obsessiveness to have a GTY cabin!!

I just booked a two night studio stay at OKW in November (put us on the waitlist at AK for a Concierge Studio) before Kelly and I go to a True Blood Convention in Orlando. I justified it by telling Bob that I was already going to be in Orlando...and I have an AP, so I might as well stay a few nights at Disney.

Hello all fellow 9/24 cruisers....my DW and I are using this cruise for our bounce back offer...we are also booked on the 12/5 Magic.....we are also awaiting our stateroom since we are also GTY status...and yes, I do check a couple of times a day....hoping for a small....OK...a big upgrade....but probably will not happen....wonder when they actually start to assign these staterooms....is their any rhyme or reason to it? Good luck all....

Ya know, I don't know how "free" the dining is in WDW. I just ran rates for room and ticket for POP and that came to $1218.96. For the free dining promo, it's $1417.80 for the same room and ticket options. I guess they charge you more for the room to make up for what they're losing in dining! Sneaky!

We tried to go with a military discount and it was just another gimmick. We ended up saving tons more by doing everything separate.
