i wish i was going for 3 months!! but seriously yeah i think i'm the first to get there. i arrive on the 12th september.

and on the disney website, i love it that when you phone them, the first thing mentioned on the automatic service (even before the would you like to book option), is press 1 if you are having trouble using the website!! lol :rotfl:

i'm so tired right now, i left work at 4 and drove straight to the airport, got there at 5.10 took hour and ten minutes, about the time it should take), picked my parents up, then it took me 2 hours to get home. got stuck in every bit of traffic on the way back, at one point it took about 20 minutes to get about 100m down the road. its only 9pm now and i could quite easily go to bed....... (in my defence i have been up since half five this morning..... ;))

Don't you just hate traffic?? I know I do!!!

I'm still at work because I have a report due on Monday to CA. But, I am a bit distracted at the moment, i'm watching the Wonder take off!! It's still at the port right now...I have the webcams loaded up in order. I am obsessed!! :lmao:

Poor Karen, you must be really exhausted! I know what you mean about traffic. I work about a mile away from O'Hare Airport here in Chicago. All of the traffic around the airport can sometimes make my commute home about an hour to an hour and a half...and I live 7 miles from where I work. It's absolutely crazy! I drive to the expressway, and I see that nothing is moving at all...then I take side streets home...which naturally are always crowded because everyone does the same thing.

You need to take a nice warm bubble bath and relax and get some sleep!

All this talk of traffic. Knock on wood I don't get stuck in it. I work 26 miles from my house. The traffic has been bad going to work because it's been rainy all week and people don't seem to know how to drive in the rain! :scared:

Okay so, now as I tell you you can see the boat, some person has moved the camera so you see the gas station sign. I get control in 30 seconds and will move it back!!

This will be us in 15 weeks -- YAY!!!!! :cool1::cool1::banana::cool1:

Did you see the giraffe? I swear I saw one as the camera was moving...very strange!! Now it is out of my control again, sigh!! I will have to tell my MIL to watch on the day of our cruise, and I will go up there early and put up a colored sign or something so she can see me. Saturday when I was watching the Magic, it was too cloudy -- but today, you can see the people up there!! I am so jealous!!

No giraffe lol. I was in the restroom. It will be us soon enough!! And everybody else will be jealous.

You have to refresh after 30 minutes, you get disconnected. It's still there, someone just keeps messing with the camera. It's on it right now, and I have control -- so it will stay on it, LOL!! :lmao:

Donna -- I don't think there is any sound. Too bad!!

I wonder why the Wonder  is leaving so late today? It's almost 6 FL time...

Have you ever had one of those days when you dread going into work? I am having one of those this morning. I love my job, I really do....I work for a Medical Association, and there is a total of 16 of us in the office. I work in the meetings department, so I get to travel 3 or 4 times a year, I work with some great doctors at these meetings, and the office environment is very laid back. We get to wear pretty much anything we want in the office as long as it's clean and tidy (so shorts are ok in the summer and most people wear jeans and gym shoes daily), we get new computers and monitors every 18 months...then we are able to buy our old equipment (I just got my old computer for $75)....we have a masseuse come in once a month and we can schedule appointments with her for $1 a minute, and we get a free massage the week before we leave for our Annual Meeting (so we are stress free). But with all of the good comes the bad...well, not really bad...but the strange.

Our executive director for all his good points likes us to do team building things that make 99% of the staff uncomfortable. Today we are getting the low down on his next idea...Laugh Yoga. I have been through being blindfolded and having another staff member lead me through building a house out blocks, I have been the center part of a yarn puzzle, and I have been subjected to Improv class...and trust me, none of this makes us work better as a team. It's all awkward and uncomfortable, and although we try to let him know that not only do we feel it is all a waste of time, but it is uncomfortable for many of us. I must admit he is being clever about this whole thing...he had me plan a picnic for staff where we get to bring our families and our pets, but that is like the "carrot" to get us all to accept Laugh Yoga.

We have a very close knit staff, my best friend since we were 3 years old works with me...and that still doesn't make any of these exercises any better. Just because I am an outing going person doesn't mean I want to be the center of attention! Sorry for the rant, I just felt the need to vent in an area where I am certain my boss won't see it.....the man HATES all things Disney with a passion...even to the point where he belittles my love for the mouse.

I didn't see the ship leave port. It was too late. I had to leave work. Why did it leave so late??

I already don't like your boss because he doesn't like Disney. J/K. But seriously, I understand where you are coming from. I wouldn't want to do that kind of thing either. I don't like being put on the spot and it seems like that's what all of those activities are designed to do. I understand the whole 'team building' thing but can't he think of other ideas to promote that? Like a trip to Disney World? :rotfl:

I dread coming to work most days. I like my job but this place is just a pain. When I first started, we were in a different location. The office FELT like a travel agency, it was small and there were only about 10 employees there. Now we're all spread out. Our desks are in the middle of everything and we constantly have people walking up to us asking us about car repair because that's what the other half of this building is. I get that they want to put all of AAA's services under one roof but...they could have done it better than this. I feel like the people that come in here are just confused. And we could use some team building because the travel side and automotive side really don't talk to each other much. And the GM...ugh, I won't even begin the rant because I could go on and on.

I miss my old office.

My boss did a week at the Disney Institute about 15 years ago, and for some reason this is where his hatred of all things Disney comes from. I myself would have killed to have done a week there. It's to the point where I did a site visit at the Beach Club for a meeting in 2011....Disney came in at a very reasonable price and the service they provide is second to none (no surprise there)...still he said no go for holding the meeting there. :confused3

I didn't now that you worked for AAA, my in-laws just got us AAA...they were tired of us calling them for car help.:lmao:

He won't hold a meeting at the Beach Club? Why?? It's beautiful there! Ok, maybe I can understand why he doesn't like the parks (not really but I'll try) but the resorts?? C'mon now!

Yup, I work for AAA. You can call me if you ever get stuck on the road. :rotfl:
