9/24/09 3 Day Wonder - Cruise Meets, and FEs, and Goombays oh my!

I was named after BOTH my grandmothers and I am not gonna do that when i have a girl mainly b/c i do not like my name and i never have i even omit my fist name when i am signing things i sign them P. Elaine Neal (the p is for patsy) but i have always gone by Lainey from the day i was born when ever someone calls me Patsy i generally don't pay attention b/c its not the name i am use to hearing which messes up my instructors on the first day of classes. Well it's another beautiful day today (other than the pollen) it isn't too hot outside YET

I like Lainey, it's unique and pretty! Patsy reminds me of country singer Patsy Cline. HBO used to play that movie to death when Kelly was a baby.
Most of Kelly's friends call her Kel...but when she was about 3 years old, one of her favorite television shows was Eureka's Castle (It was on Nick)...and one day she started calling herself "Princess MoGelly of the Lord" (I have no idea where the "of the Lord" came from). It was hilarious, her godfather had a T-Shirt made for her with a castle and glitter letters with Princess MoGelly on it. To this day her Aunts, Uncles and Cousins call her MoGelly.

I have gotten the Patsy Cline thing ALOT! But i guess its better than it could have been my grandmothers middle name was Loretta so i was either gonna get called Patsy Cline in school or Loretta Lynn.
I prefer Lainey and for some reason everyone tends to misspell it they always leave the y off. I use to watch Eurekas castle when i was little i loved it also.
the only other name i have been called all my life is peaches or peach.
Now i am waiting on Duchessandkittens last name of the 2 cabins and i will have everything i need for the FE gifts. I am starting with mine and gregs so that if i do something wrong on the first one it is ours and i am not giving it as a gift.

thats a good idea, i ended up keeping one of our FE gifts from last time due to a mix up with the delivery and a missing FE, but i havent thought of making extras this time.
i keep buying stuff for our gifts, i was out on my lunch break, one of the card shops was closing down and i ended up buying a load of stuff for the FEs. at the mo i'm buying 16 of everything (i started with buying 4x 4 packs of gift bags, and keep having to buy loads of each thing as i done know how many people we'll end up with). its good though that so far we've got 9 groups, last cruise including us there were 5 groups, it'll be loads more fun this time with more people!
i'm sure amy (duchessandkittens) will be back soon, and we can find out the other last names

I have enough to make 15 FEs, but I can get more at Michaels if I need to. Work is kind of boring today, I'm just waiting for my checks to come at 1:45 so that I can mail out my Spring reports. The day is going sloooooooooooowly .

I get to go to another Cubs game tomorrow!! My BIL got 4 free tickets from a Supplier at his company, so yea!!

My day is going by very slow as well. There hasn't been much to do today. I'll take it though because the end of yesterday was a nightmare.

I have to get on my FE gifts! You girls are making me feel lazy!

I'm going to a Yankee game next Wednesday. Baseball's not really my thing but it'll be cool to see the new stadium.

well work's finally over and i'm back at home now, yay, work was really boring and i was a bit peeved. we got an email this morning saying we're not allowed to choose our own lunch hours anymore, we have to be done by 2, normally i go between 1.30 and 2, but now i have to go early, me and one of the other women both thought it was really petty, especially the way it was worded, and tomorrow i've gotta go at 12. i'd gotten used to only having 2 hours or so after lunch before hometime, now i've got 4 hours.
but apart from that it was ok, i've been sorting out all the payments to our suppliers all day and sorting out purchase orders, so its gone quite quickly.
i had my mp3 player on in my car on the way home and disney songs kept coming on, so i'm watching aladdin at the mo
i've had a few offers on the tickets i'm trying to sell on ebay, they're not high enough but its looking promising. if i can sell them, i can cancel the US free dining, and rebook through the UK site and get saratoga springs for not much more money! yay! the stupid thing was that i was happy with all star music before, was looking forward to it, but now i think i might be able to afford SSR, i dont want to stay at ASM now!! lol i'm so flaky when it comes to booking holidays!! i always want it to be perfect so always end up paying more than i intended!
its another bank holiday weekend this weekend, but now i'm working, one of the concessions on the park has asked me to help out for the weekend, he wanted me to work all 3 days but i told him i'd only do 2 out of the 3 days, i want some time to myself, and i said i'd only work 5-6 hours a day, could do with the money but i dont really want to be working a 12 hour day. but hey, its a bit of cash (in hand ) which will stop me spending the money in my bank account, which means i can put more money towards the holiday!!

I had to go back to michales and get dark color fabric transfers b/c the fabric i am ironing on is apparently a darker blue than i though it was so NOTHING was showing up on the fabric!!! I am in the crafting mood now i got these fabric bags to use for the goodie bags and i am gonna put the stateroom numbers on them and the people staying in those rooms on them in fabric paint. I have been bitten by the craft bug and I CAN'T STOP!!! I know we are supposed to get inexpensive stuff for the FE gifts but if i keep doing crafting stuff for them i am gonna spend my state refund on the FE gifts! LOL

i wish i was that crafty, i'm putting names on my bags, but they're store bought gift bags with foam letters thats the most crafty i've been in ages
tell me about it, i keep buying stuff and its all adding up!! at least if i buy bits here and there it wont make as much difference as buying the lot in one go and spending a fortune!!

I haven't purchased anything for the FE yet but I've been looking around and have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to get. I hope you will all like your goody bags!

That's ridiculous about having to take lunch by a certain time. I usually go around 1:30-2 in my office and I know if they told me I had to go earlier, I'd be ticked. I'm not hungry at 12 and even if I was, I'd be starving by the time I left my office. I like taking a late lunch and only having 2 or 3 hours left in my day.

I always see SSR when I go to DTD. I don't know much about it though.

i'm the same as you, i like to go late, as when i get back from lunch i know i've only got 2 hours or so to go. tomorrow i've gotta go at 12, as i went at 1 today. sucks.
i just think its daft that we're being told what to do like a bunch of ten year olds.

i wouldnt be surprised if we end up with uniform guidelines soon. its stupid......... i'm not really objecting to the fact that we have to take lunch between 12 and 2, as thats what a lot of companies say anyway, but more at the way it was worded, very condescending and a bit petty.

from little snide comments here and there, i wouldnt be surprised if they start giving us rules of what we can and cant wear. hope not though!
4 and a half months til disney, i cant wait!!!
to put it another way, 4 and a half months til we get to spend 3 hours in a TGI fridays and not feel guilty!!!

I cannot wait for this trip! I'm so excited that the MNSSHP tickets go on sale Friday, the park hours for September will be announced in a month, and then I can make my ADRs! It doesn't seem so far off anymore!

this is the most last minute i've ever booked a holiday!! i normally start planning/booking about a year and a half or so out, so booking 5 and a half months out is practically last minute for us!!
i'm looking forward to finding out prices for MNSSHP on friday, we're looking at going either the 15th or 22nd. the only other date that'd work is 18th, but thats a friday so guessing it'll be busier, and the AP discounts probably wont work. actually aiming for the 15th i think as it'll give us more time to eat the yummy free candy!!

I think you should go on the 22nd because that's when Lainey and I are going. I've heard it's the best of all the parties. I had the most fun at the Pirate and Princess Party; MVMCP was fun too but I didn't like it as much as the other one. And I plan on eating my candy that night so look for a very hyper Jen running around MK.

i was thinking about the 22nd as i knew you guys were going, but i'm thinking i need time to eat all that candy!! if we eat it all before we come home, we've got more luggage weight for souvenirs!!
