we've got another bank holiday again on monday, so yay, upcoming 3 day weekend

i got the stuff to do one of my FE gifts only one thing in the goodies bags is going to be a Craft project for me. I think for those who have kids in their rooms i will give them a regular bag and one that just has stuff in it for the kids in the cabins so that i can give everyone the same goodies. I hope yall like what i am doing as the craft project gift it isn't big but i think it will be cute.

LOL - <waves to everyone>

Wow! Go away for a few months and look what happens! :rotfl2:

I'm still here, still going, still wanting to do FE's!

Guess I'll introduce (reintroduce?) myself. There is me, Stacy, 35, disney nut...Haven't been since a kid and can't wait to go back. Chris, 37, not-so-disney-nut-but-humors-me husband (never been to Disney) and our son Kaleb, lover of Little Einsteins and the mouse, who will be turning 3 on our "land" part of the trip, and this is his first trip!

I'm really getting excited about the trip (not that I wasn't before... but NOW it is closer!!). I think we are planning on flying down to FL on Friday the 18th, staying 2 nights in a value, then on Sunday move to our moderate resort and start the "real" vacation! So here is our plan, if anyone is interested... LOL:

Friday: Fly down, take Disney transportation to value resort. Relax, stroll around, maybe do a bit of downtown disney... get a good night's sleep!

Saturday: Hit the parks!! We get a 5 day park hopper pass with the land / sea package, and we are starting it on Saturday. Stay this night at value.

Sunday: Hit another park! Move to Port Orleans French Quarter, checkin for cruise part now too. We purchased the disney dining plan with the cruise for the land part. It is for 4 days, so this is day 1 of the dining.

Monday: More parks and dining!

Tuesday: Kaleb's birthday! More parks! More dining! Chef Mickey's? We'll be doing a lot of char meals... Kaleb is 2 at the start of this trip, which means he is free for the whole thing. But also means he doesn't get the dining plan. He can eat from our plates though and buffet free. We might as well do lots of char buffets! He'll love them... we hope.

Wednesday: Last day in the parks and for dining package.

Thursday: On our own for breakfast. Sleep in, hit the pool, relax, pack, perhaps Downtown Disney for last minute suvies... take the bus to the ship, noonish! Eat lunch! Find room! Cross fingers for upgrade! :worship:

Friday: Cruise! Relax!

Saturday: Cruise! Relax!

Sunday: Pack, cry, fly home... :sad1:

Karen - The first day back has been ok. It's gone by pretty quick. I booked a couple of people on some getaways and am waiting to hear back on a Disney package.

Welcome back Stacy! :rotfl: Glad to hear you are still coming with us. I thought we'd lost you in DIS cyberspace. You'll be staying right next door to us during our land portion; we'll be at POR!

welcome back stacy!! as you can see we've been busy on here, 68 pages and still 4 and a half months to go!!

Well our passport paperwork is being processed so that is one less thing that we have to worry about. I loved POFQ it is really beautiful PORS looked pretty from what i could see of it.

congrats on getting the passport thing sorted, i've gotta get gary to do his at some point......
POR is really nice, we stayed there on our honeymoon and loved it.

Once I get my passport, I will be all set for this trip. Except saving up spending money which I am in the process of doing. And shopping for clothes. I don't have to get new clothes but I definitely want to. :) I'm going to Old Navy today because they're having a sale on capris. I was just over on their website and they have a bunch of cute tops and smock dresses to wear over swimsuits for $10-$15 too. I'm only alotting myself a certain amount to spend today. I'll be good, I promise! If I get a couple pieces here and there it'll save me from a huge spending spree later on.

i usually have to get petit capris bc i am so short that when i get regular ones i look like i am wearing pants that shrunk they come up right above my ankle. :lmao: i have got to go shopping i do need to get new clothes since i have lost weight alot of my summer stuff doesn't fit. and i am buying greg alot of shorts bc he never wears them but i told him since it is gonna be pretty hot when we go down there( well to greg it will be really hot) he doesn't need to wear pants i think i am only gonna pack him one pair of blue jeans for the pirate night on the ship since the lady who booked the reservation told us that the night they have pirate night you can wear jeans and pirate shirts i am gonna get me a bandanna to wear that night (i think dark red but i want to wait til i see what shirt i am looking at wearing)

:rotfl2: If you got Bermuda shorts, they'd probably look like capris on you! Try that!

I'm definitely going to bring a pair of jeans too, though I doubt I'm going to need them unless there's some freak cold night during the trip. I'm expecting it to be near 90 during the day and in the 70s at night. Keep your fingers crossed for perfect weather; no rain!

I'm not that short I wear denim bermuda shorts well i had a pair until the belt loop riped out so i can't wear them anymore :sad1:
I am gonna wait til late june to do it that is when the places around here start putting their summer stuff on clearance and being getting their winter stuff in so we can get more for less money

Old Navy, Target, and Kohl's are forever running deals around here. Plus, we have a bunch of outlets that are less expensive than the regular stores in the malls. I definitely have to check out the Charlotte Russe and Ann Taylor outlets. I'm sad my sister won't be working for Ann Taylor Loft anymore. She got a great discount!!

Greg is a Meat and French fry guy (he hates mashed and baked potatoes me personaly i like any kind of potato) :lmao::lmao:
Greg is gonna be using alot of our snack credits to get french fries with alot of his meals that is why i added the disney theme park snacks to our honeymoon registry that way he can get extras if he wants. Thank you donna i appreciate it alot it makes the FE gift making process easier oh how is your daughter so i know what gift to put in the bag just for her? since alot of the people arent bringing kids i am doing special little gifts for the cabins who have children and is there anythink in particular that she likes?

Disney Dining is so accommodating that even if the meal you pick doesn't come with fries, if they offer it, they will substitute it for you. We have to do this often for Bob...he hordes the snack credits for Mickey Rice Krispie Treats!

Although Kelly is my child, she is an adult, she is 23. Damn, I'm old :lmao:

Donna, your daughter's name is Kelly Burns? That's my cousin's name! Is her middle name Ann because then they would have the exact same name!

I wanted Kelly's name to be Kelly Rae Burns....My birth name is Donna Rae Johnston, my mother was Marcella Rae McCarthy. Kelly's Dad said the middle name "Rae" would make her sound like a hillbilly :confused3...so yes, she is Kelly Ann Burns. On a side note, Kelly's Grandma Burns always says that she is disappointed that none of her granddaughters have "girlie" names. They are Jaime, Erin and then Kelly. When I was pregnant with Kelly, Grandma Burns tried to convince me to name her Melissa.

We are going to do our goodie bags the same way, with a separate bag for the kids in the room. Bob has put himself in charge of the kid's bags...the man loves toys, and has already bought a few things. As for the Cabin Bags or as Bob calls them "The Grown Up Goodies", I have all the pieces for the first two days, and I am contemplating the third day. I am curious, how is everyone going to get there gifts to Orlando? I am thinking of shipping them to myself, so I won't have to carry them.

im already gonna have an extra piece of luggage that wont be packed that full so all of mine should fit in it b/c i am trying to pick stuff that is flat and can be packed easily. your daughter is a year younger than me, you shouldn't feel old my mom has me and my 5 YEAR OLD half brother!!! My adult goodie bags are gonna have some stuff from Georgia like peach candies i think but i haven't made up my mind yet.

I don't think Rae sounds hillbilly! It's pretty. But it's funny that she has the exact same name as my cousin. :rotfl: Small world.

Your daughter is a couple years younger than me. :) And you are not old! You're as young as you feel!

I was named after BOTH my grandmothers and I am not gonna do that when i have a girl mainly b/c i do not like my name and i never have i even omit my fist name when i am signing things i sign them P. Elaine Neal (the p is for patsy) but i have always gone by Lainey from the day i was born when ever someone calls me Patsy i generally don't pay attention b/c its not the name i am use to hearing which messes up my instructors on the first day of classes. :lmao::lmao: Well it's another beautiful day today (other than the pollen) it isn't too hot outside YET

I may call you Patsy when I've had one too many! :rotfl: That's my mom's name. It's really hot here today, supposed to be closing in on the 90s. And then tomorrow it will drop to the 50s. :sad2: I do not understand this weather!

Donna - we're driving down so I'm going to pack them in a duffle bag I have. That will be the only thing I plan on carrying aboard the ship because it's on the smaller side and won't be tough for me to lug around for a couple hours. I just need to remember to take them out of the car so nothing gets sun damaged! ;)
