Hey yall sorry i havent been on today i was being lazy and have been in the pool most of the day and been on my FB page my mom has gotten me hooked onto doing Farm Town it is addictive. :lmao: Poor greg his parents house doesnt have air at the moment the ac has broken and it has been about 98 this week with very high humidity so it is even more miserable than normal. So greg is dying he is very hot natured poor thing he sweats even in the winter thats how hot natured he is.
I am worried for my moms dog(husky named Star its a boy but my little brother wanted to name him star)he has Parvo (we origianly thought he had heat stroke his temp was 105.9 when we took him in but then they got his blood tests back) luckily we caught it in time so they were able to get him started on the medication but he wont be able to come home til monday and he is in alot of pain and has ivs in him and he is generaly a sweet dog but he tried to bite one of the vet techs bc he wants the pain to go away and doesnt understand what they are doing to him. He was so weak when we went to take him in i had to carry him(i didnt realize til then just how heavy he was) hopfully he will fully recover he is only 9months old.

lainey, i hope star is ok. You'll have to let us know how he's doing. Poor thing.
I'm down in bournemouth at the mo, having a great time. We're meeting up with someone we used to work with later so that'll be cool.
Katie's son is so cute, he's just such a happy baby. I am missing gary though, i haven't seen him since wednesday, he's up in glasgow seeing his parents. He'll be back home tomorrow. Its actually our 5 year anniversary tomorrow so i'm going to go shopping later to get him a present.

Lainey, I hope Star is okay!! It's so awful when your dog is sick, they are so sad and they can't really tell you what is wrong. It's good that you caught it in time that they could medicate him though. Keep us posted!

Karen, Happy (almost) Anniversary!! Tim & I will be married 5 years this year too!!

I got up early to make a reservation for my DSis and I for Sept. 18th. I didn't have much luck, I booked 2 though and will cancel one. We wanted to do 'Ohana, but that is hard to get for a party of 2, and with the party that night I couldn't get anything until 9!! So I booked Kona at 5:40, that's good too. And I booked one at Chef Mickey's for 7:30, a little late, but hopefully I can modify it. However, I was playing around with the places we want to eat with tim's family and all of those have openings...so that is good at least, when that booking time comes!

mary did you make your adrs online or on the phone? If it was online try giving them a ring about ohanas as i was having a play on their website and it was giving me really stupid times even for the less popular places.
Tomorrow is our 5th anniversary of when we got together, our 4th wedding anniversary is in november. Can't believe its been that long already, where's the time going?! :)

Donna - what do you think about New York City? Since it's practically my backyard and I've been going there since I was very young, it's interesting to me to talk to people who haven't been there much or at all.

Lainey - I'm sorry to hear about Star! I hope he's ok and that he can come home soon. Poor thing.

Mary - Did you try booking Ohana for 3 people? Sometimes you'll get better results that way. It doesn't matter if there's only two of you, they won't turn you away or something. For whatever reason, 3 sometimes works better than 2. Another Disney thing I don't get. :confused3

Karen - Happy anniversary to you and Gary!

I did try for 3 & 4. Still nothing, until 9 pm. It's okay, she'll like Kona Cafe just as well. I really like their tuna oscar. There is plenty of spots for parties of 6, though!! Oh, well!! :goodvibes

That's weird. I've never been to Kona Cafe. I think I've been inside the Poly once and it was just to walk around and see what it was all about.

Kona is very good! The bread is awesome there, we love it!! I think the problem with 'Ohana is that they have so many big tables, for larger parties. There really aren't a lot of tables for 2 there. I actually changed my ressie to 1900 Park Fare at the GF, they have the Cinderella dinner there. My DSis wants to do a character meal, and i've nevere done this one...so I'll give it a try!! Chef Mickey's is good, but it does get a little crazy!

I loved New York. I expected people to not be friendly, and that you had to be really careful going out at night, but it wasn't like that at all. Every place we went people were friendly and helpful with directions. We walked around Times Square late at night, and felt safe. Ohhhh, and what we really loved was all the stores that had buffets in them! That was really cool, and handy when you wanted to pick up something hot that wasn't a sandwich. We have nothing like that here in Chicago...at our convenience stores if you want to try and grab something to eat your choices are, hot dog, taquito, nachos or a slurpee.

By far Bob's favorite part was cab rides...they were insane, and kind of like being in an action movie. I swear we got some flight time in a few of the cabs we rode in.

Kelly's favorite thing was that she could go to any play for about $25 with her College ID, apparently if you are enrolled in a "arts" program you get that kind of deal. That trip she saw Drew Lachey in Rent and Joey McIntyre in Wicked. Also she was able to take her ID and go to the library and watch plays on tape....we found out they tape every show that has played on and off Broadway for archival purposes. She loved it so much she has been back with her cousins twice, once to go to Tribeca, and another time to see "Chicago" on broadway...funny that she had to leave Chicago to fly to New York to see Chicago. :rotfl2:

Karen, Happy (almost) Anniversary!! Tim & I will be married 5 years this year too!!

Bob and I just had our 5 year anniversary too. We should start some kind of club, LOL! Happy Anniversary to my fellow 2004 Brides! :bride:

This is after the third coat of glitter....because they didn't sparkle enough! I love that he is so into doing this...he is really enjoying it. When he finally decided that he was happy with his placement of glitter, he wanted to start packing our bags! I was like, "sweetheart, the trip is a little over three months away" His reply is "Well, we both bought some new stuff for the trip, let's just pack it" So, now our small bags for the cruise have "special clothes" all packed and ready to go. Thankfully he has agreed to wear some of the other stuff we bought over the course of the summer. I am so proud that he has embraced being a true Disney planner!:woohoo:

Good Morning, and what a lovely morning it is! 77 right now with sunshine..the birds are singing it's Father's Day....and I got my cabin assignment! We are in cabin 6570, mid-ship starboard side.:boat: I finally have a home on the cruise, what a relief. I gotta tell you I am a little surprised, because it is a connecting room, so I guess that means they didn't have a lot of requests from families that wanted to be next to each other. All I know is that midship is supposed to help with my motion sickness, so I am beyond happy!

cor thats early donna!! congrats, is it a cat 6 still? i'm going to go check mine but i'm not expecting an assignment for another couple of months yet.
once again, thanks so much to you and bob for making us a FE, its looking great so far and i've only seen the dowel so far!!!

well i've had a lovely weekend, went down to dorset to see my friend and her 10 month old baby boy. she's also recently got together with a guy we used to work with 8 years ago, so it was cool getting to see richard again too. we didnt really get up to much, just went out for dinner a couple of times, and just chatted really. i'm just extraordinarily tired at the mo, i got home about 2.30, i ended up having an hour's sleep earlier, i'm still really tired. gary's back tonight too (about 8pm hopefully), he's been up in glasgow so i havent seen him since wednesday, looking forward to seeing cerby again too, i've been seeing people walking their dogs all weekend and i've been really missing my big fluffball!

nope, just checked and i'm still guarantee.

oh well :)

Karen, I checked too, but nothing for me either. Some people have been getting them around 60 days lately, so I think I will start checking around then.

fingers crossed eh!!
hoping for an upgrade like last time, but i wont be too bummed out if we dont get one, i'm just happy to be on the ship :)

so far we havent gotten any more news on star but my mom is going to call in the morning and find out. Well the time had come for the ADRs i am gonna try them online and after that i am gonna call in the morning and make sure that they went through. I am getting my dress altered tuesday so is my mom and both of our dresses are rather loose now which is a good thing but i am not looking forward to seeing the bill.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and i hope you all have a great week.

Good morning, everyone!! Jen & Lainey, did you make your dining ressies? I hope you got everything you wanted!! I just had one more to make today, and I decided to take my DSis to Hoop Dee Do! I'm excited, as I would NEVER in a million billion zillion years get Tim to go to that!! LOL!! :lmao: They even have all you can drink Sangria!! :drinking1

So, it's back to work. The girl that sits next to me is having more ex-husband drama, so I get to hear that ALL day. I swear, every time she has an issue, she calls everyone in the world and tells them about it. Geez!!

Oh, I forgot to add, Lainey -- did you hear anything else about Star?? I hope he is okay!!

i should hear more about star today i will let everyone know as soon as my mom calls the vets. I passed out last night and over slept(i shouldnt have taken a benadryl but too many mosquito bites will make you do anything to quit itching) and i tried to do the resssies online but it is showing that i can only make them for sunday the 20th so i am fixing to call them up bc the ressie i want to make for the 20th is the fantasmic dinner package and you have to call to do that one any way so i will let you know how it goes i know jen prob. already got hers i am mad at myself for not waking up early to call.

Did you put in your resort reservation number? That is how you will get it to pull up the next 9 days. I don't get to do that until next monday. Here is what I booked so far:

Friday, 9/18 -- 1900 Park Fare @ 4:40, before MNSSHP
Saturday, 9/19 -- Coral Reef @ 2:50, before me and DSis do drink around the world!!
Sunday, 9/20 -- Hoop Dee Do, 5:00 showing

I'm getting excited!! :cool1::banana::yay::woohoo:

since we are on the land and sea package and you book it all throught the crusie line we dont have a resort confirmation number so i can only book for the 20th which i did and we did the fantasmic dining package but we are eating at 3:40 but the show doesnt start til 8pm so we should be able to do a few rides after dinner but i think we may skip using a quick service that afternoon and we may use it when we get back to the hotel at captain cooks depending on how late it is open the only places i am worred about now are le cellier and CRT since i have to wait til wednesday to call for CRT and thursday to call for lecellier if i have to we can eat lunch at le cellier and do quick service for dinner which to greg it wont matter as long as we have food. :lmao: Keep your fingers crossed i can get the other ones i want
