It happens every time though. The past two release dates I have sat on hold for over an hour or more while watching the prices increase online. I couldn't book online because I had a ressie to transfer. It is a gamble every time you call in on opening day. Some people have no problem getting through in the first five minutes and some people don't. Today I dialed two different numbers on two phones for 40 minutes. I then was on hold for 1 1/2 hours. I know some people got lower prices than I did, just like in 2007 for the EBPC repo and in 2008, but there is nothing I can do about it.
Unless I've overlooked them, there are no prices for 2011 Caribbean. And, since the cabin assignments have been changed, won't it affect the prices as well? We are sailing with 5 other families and want to be ready with our choices on Monday when it becomes availiable to us.
Thank you again.
Just seeing if anyone got on the first cruise out and looking for a price of whatever category you got!!
Would anyone who is eligible today be willing to call and price a Cat 5C for 1A/1C (age 10) and a Cat 11B for 1A/2C (both age 10) without insurance or transfers for the May 2011 Eastbound TA? I am trying to decide now if the total will be too much $$ so I can adjust our plans for next Monday. I know the prices may not be the same by then, but it'll give me a ballpark idea.
Thanks so much!
ALASKA!!! 2 adults, 1 kid(14), cat 5B $6767. We transfered an existing ressie so this probably reflect the 10% onboard discount. Includes insurance and transfers. Sail date is July 19!
As for the categories, the "A" cats are premium. Lucky for us we prefer to be up front so our stateroom is a "B"!
Someone may have already posted this, but I'm sure the wait times were so long because people needed to 'shop'. Had the rates been posted in advance, everyone could have been calling and booking exactly what they wanted.

Panama Canal
2A cat 7 (secret Nav verandah 7620)
10% ob booking discount, no trans, no insurerance, all taxes and fees
$6,398.36
That comes to $1600 per person per week, a rate I've paid for a 7 day in the past, but nowhere near as 'inexpensive' as the last PC or the TA's.
Asked for a Cat 9a/b quote in case my travel mate wants to save some $$. I'll also look back over this thread later to see if any were posted.

Ok, analysts.....
Has anyone noticed a price increase today?
Or is it taking too long for anyone to book for the ships to start filling up?
