9/19/09 Western Magic

Good Morning!

OUR FE PARTICIPANT LIST IS OFFICIALLY CLOSED!! We have 34 Cabins (once I hear back from those that have not sent me any info. :))

Just wanted to post a note to begin to collect additional info. to help get the FE list completed and finalized. I know that some may not get Cabin #'s for awhile but this way, you will see if I am missing info. for you :thumbsup2

I apologize if you sent it and I missed it for any reason so please resend :)

There are THREE that I don't have ANY info. for so if we can get the adults/kids breakdown for your Cabin ASAP - that would be awesome as some are doing specific gifts for adults and kids :thumbsup2
They are ChrisLei, Michelle9343, & so_oregon (2 cabins)
I have also PMd for that info so you can reply there :)

These are the cabin #'s I am missing and I know we have to wait for GTYs but if you have it already - please let me know. I have all of the other info. for these families so when your GTY comes through or if it already has - You can send a PM, email or post it - totally up to you :woohoo:

Again, so sorry if you sent it and I have missed it but just really want to get everything up-to-date! If anyone wants the current list - I can email it so PM me your email address but can also wait until it's complete and then we can post it on the Yahoo (with Paige's help :)) and then can also email it to those who want it that way.

If your name is not on this list - it just means I am not missing any info. from you. You can refer to Post #1141 again to be sure you are on the existing list. I did add jonesing/Gabbie (DH & DW) last night since I heard back from them :) So, if we hear from the 3 that are missing info. - we will be at a total of 34 Cabins :thumbsup2

Yonkrsgirl, Just want to say you are doing a fabulous job with this huge FE undertaking! I admit to being relieved we have officially closed the exchange.

Now just the wait for all of us GTY status people to get assigned cabin numbers. I just read on another thread that a GTY person had her cabin reassigned 3x :scared1: so far and she sails on June13th! And with DCL now offering optional paid upgrades before they do final assignments and free upgrades it may be a wild ride just before we sail figuring out where us GTY's land!

Thanks for the encouragment about "one gift per cabin being fine" . I tend to get a bit carried away with these things :rotfl:

We can wait until the last possible day to send out the list with Cabin #'s only via PM but if anyone does upgrade at the Port - not sure how we would get word to everyone.

Is anyone planning to upgrade at the port that has signed up for the FE??? If we know that ahead of time - we can come up with some way to meet. Also, the night of the Cruise Meet in the Promenade Lounge - anyone that changed at the port - can leave a note in a designated area or something???

Any ideas??

I think that leaving a note in a designated area would be a good idea. What time is the meet?
 

We are not anticipating a change in our cabin but I am worried about when we will receive the latest updated FE list. After 9/10/09 I will be without a computer because of the wedding and trip to WDW before the cruise...I don't wanna miss anyone!

Did we decide on an official meeting time and place on board, I know we talked about some time when it was going to be near dinner but I can't remember...will someone be so kind as to remind this frantic wedding/honeymoon planning nut?

Could we designate a cabin to note any last minute changes by posting a note on the door or maybe using a dry erase board? :idea:

If anyone misses the updated information at the meet they will know where to look.

As far as I know LoriS' cabin number is 5512, I know it because that is the cabin we wanted to book. LoriS and I talked about it on posts # 295 & 303.

Sorry if anyone thinks it's not my business, I'm just trying to help :)

I am needing to know this as well.

since we are not doing FE I don't want to be left out of any other meet ups. and since we are REAS I can book Palo Friday !! so.. in everybody's personal opinion: Thursday or Friday for Dinner?

Note: we could care less about Pirate Night. he spends all day chasing them in the his real job, he's not interested in pretending to be one. Our actual anniversary is the 19th but we don't want to miss out on our first night in the DR and I would prefer to NOT miss the AP show cuz I am giddy like that so that kinda rules out the first three days.

I am partial to Thursday the Sea day myself.. but is there an advantage to doing on CC day instead?
 
I think I had 9pm in my head as I worried it might overlap with late dinner hour and then others said they are late dinner as well and finally others said they would wait for us!

so, 1st day on board, Saturday, the 19th, at 9pm in Promanade Lounge sound right?

also, I say if it has been previously posted on this thread as open information then it is just that, open information. I know I have lots more names/ages/genders of adults and kiddos just by reading this thread and noting them when I see them? So yeah! for more info.

I know Michelle9343 posted she has a son and daughter, so there is another piece of the puzzle!

So random idea...how do people feel about posting pics of themselves so maybe some of us will recognize eachother? I am pretty good with faces- I might not remember your name, but if I see you I will probably look at you funny for a minute and say in a meek, shy voice, "Dis...?" :confused:

I don't care about pics one way or another except I am so challenged technically it may be difficult for me but I just wanted to say, your description of meeting one of us made me LOL! so funny!

My DH and I were at WDW and I thought I spotted a Disser and my DH is like "so what? are you gonna flag them down or yell at them or what?" He would be so embarrassed if I even approached someone! :rotfl2:

We are NOT hard to spot though! 2 middle aged (with middle age spread) parents with two sullen looking teens (but really they are great kids, just not so outgoing!) and two little ones who are young enough to be our grandkids :rotfl2: Yeah, we are kinda hard to miss!

I'm still laughing. . .uummm, dis?? maybe we should make this our "slogan,motto whatever!" I love it!

We are officially booked for Sept, 19TH :banana:

This will be the second cruise for me and my family (DW and DD7) see the picture below. I am the one wearing a black tie and my wife Monica and my daughter Madison are right beside me. People at the back are my wife's sister and her family, unfortunately :rolleyes1 , they are not sailing with us this time.

Hope we all will have a wonderful cruise.

nope he's only a Lieutenant Commander. two more promotions before he makes Captain... and he JUST made LCDR in April.
