We are taking the train into Rome. ANd we are going to do the hop on hop off bus after the Vatican Museums. I have instructions on how to get to the train station. look at this website. http://www.europeportreviews.com/Rome2.htm it gives turn by turn instructions on how to get to the train station with photos.

Hey cquick--THANK YOU FOR THE ROME INFO!! what a great site...do you have other locations of the trains from the port ie: we are takingthe train out of La Spezia up to vernazza -- have the train times etc but not the location of the train station. We are going to hike the villages and then train back. Been there 2o years ago and it was amazing!

Doing the train as well. Not rushing as we made 2 pm Vatican Museum reservations and only have about 5 things total we want to hit (including the Vatican Museums).

Where did you order your tickets from?? Do you print them off or do they get mailed as we dont have time to wait for mail? We are SO new at this and booked late so We so appreciate your help! Thanks!

Actually, we have cruised 14 times now with FE's and never have lost one yet! and they are not even wired tied on.

Yes, look us up the first sea day. Are you coming to my stateroom for the Champagne Girls party? It's at 1pm in stateroom 7636. You can buy a bottle at the port in Barcelona, or if you don't drink, just come to the party!

They are called cable ties too. You can buy them almost anywhere, Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart. Look in the electrical dept. Or near any of the hooks, nails, etc. Ask for cable ties, if you can't find them. They are called lots of names...my husband always calls them zip ties because they make a Zip sound when you close them!

You don't need an FE unless you are involved in the gift exchange. And then you really don't need one, they are just for fun.

It started a long time ago. On the Disney ships, there is a FISH next to the doors, so that letter and cards and invitations can be stuck up there. Well,Debbie thought it would be fun to have a group bring a Fish Extender ( she used a holder with 4 pockets from an office store) Anyway, then people started making their own homemade FE's and the whole thing grew and grew and grew from that.

This is your frist Disney cruise, right? Don't worry about FE's. BUT remember......the doors on Disney ships are metal, and many people decorate their doors with magnets. You can't use tape or anything like that but magnets are ok. You can buy magnets or make them yourself on the computer and at Michaels and other craft stores you can buy magnet strips to put on the back. That's a fun,easy gift to make if you want to "gift" anyone. And you can put your picture on your door, tell about your anniversary! ANYTHING!

Is anyone taking the train from civitecchia to Rome? and do you know where the train station is? We want to get off and get to the train asap --- then possibly do the hop on hop off bus or if interested we could share a cab. Ideas??

BTW....you are very welcome to join us in Rome. We are doing the Vatican Museums first Got our tickets for 9:30am. then we are doing lunch and then the HOHO bus, and the Coliseum. There will be at least 6 us us together, please join us!

YES, ACTUALLY. I'm not sure if the websites talk about the train per se, but since my hubbie is going to hike the Cinque Terre, we did some research in the area. I would love to stay there for at least a week!

I ordered them from the Vatican Museums tickets online site. I used my credit card and you get vouchers, which you turn in at the special window, from what I understand. We are going to rent headsets when we get there.
