OMG! It's almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two weeks from tomorrow, we'll be on our way to Barcelona!

Got the suitcases out today, called the credit card company to tell them I'm taking it to Europe, and called verizon about my options about taking my cell with me (to send quick e-mails to friends and family back home)...

But my blackberry wont work in Europe, so they can loan me a phone, with unlimited web and e-mail for $2.15 a day(as long as I dont use it on the boat)...not sure if I should do that, or just rely on free wi-fi and use my i-pod touch when in port....what are others doing? I dont really want to pay an arm and a leg for the sloooooow internet on the ship!

Yes, where did the 2 years go that I had to get ready? I have been slowing crossing things off my list. I have an international phone, so will be adding the international phone and text plan to it (doesn't do web). I am bringing my laptop to download my photos and video to every few days and get online every few days. I think I read that when in Malta the cruise terminal has free wi-fi, so that will be one day I plan to get online. Otherwise I will be having to pay Disney for access and have not decieded which plan yet.

For all of you (us) arriving early in Barcelona, if anyone wants to meet for a quick hello???
We were thinking about Tuesday evening before we leave on the CRUISE!!!!!
All are welcome, including kids!!!!

I located the address of the tapas bar we found on our last visit.
It is Tapas Tapas, Passeig de Gràcia, 44.
We are arriving in Barcelona 3 September, and have booked an apartment for us, and 2 Disfriends.

We will have internet access while we are in BCN, so everyone let us know what you think about this idea.

See you real soooooon!!!!!!!

Christie and Ken

I like this idea... Will have to see what my cruisemate has planned already. We have not figured out Barcelona yet. One of the few things left to do.

ROFL!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

NO NO! Safari At Animal Kingdom!:laughing::laughing:

180 post till 1000:surfweb:

LOL! Good one. I have been out of the US since 2005 and never been to a Disney Park so I didn't know. I am glad that I gave everyone a good laugh this weekend. 2 more weeks to go. My daughter got her call from Mickey Mouse today and she was giggling that he called her. Just have to make it through all the work and then enjoy the cruise.

e read TONS and would be open to anyone who wants to train it with us to some of the different sites--cique Terre we are going to hike all the towns...........

Are you joining Colyn and Jan ( disname Nyloc) on your hike? My husband,
Chuck is planning to go with them. That's their plan for La Spezia, too.

Hey, Cruisefor20! Congratulations and Welcome aboard! I also came late to the party. These boards are completely new to me, but have been very helpful. One of my best friends is celebrating 50 this year and we are doing a "girls trip" to celebrate (wonder why my husband didn't want to join us!!) We just decided to try to join up with others to lessen the cost of the Italy destinations so I was thrilled to see your post. We really need to do the basic tours in both Rome and Naples, so would be happy to negotiate! I agree...the overload of info has caused complete brainfreeze!

oh, I know what you mean! Our first cruises were just 4 nighters out of Port Canaveral and we made absolutely NO plans.....but then in 2007 we took the EBTA and then a 2 week Med cruise B2B, it was so mind-boggling! In Citivitichia we are taking the train into Rome and doing the Vatican in the morning, I purchased my tickets online. But there are lots of tours to take if you want to see the whole city in one day with a driver/guide. I would do that but our son is disabled and my husband is going to take him back to the ship after lunch. Connie

Is it just me or is August the longest month of 2010???

It's a GOOD thing that August has been so long! I've needed every day to get ready....sewing, shopping, sewing, making magnets, reading, sewing. Did I mention sewing?

I am going nuts!:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

I know...I don't want September to end EVER...but THIS month...I keep thinking it's closer than it is. Like Monday is 2 weeks...I swear I have felt like it was 2 weeks for month! :confused3 But still lots to do so I guess I should be grateful for the time....just getting really excited!!!

Hi Susan,
It really is a small world!!!! I am a TA, and just off the phone with DCL, just happened to speak with Michael!!!
Hope to see you at the precruise meet in BCN!!!
Or if not, see you on the ship!!!!!!
It's getting close!!!! Time to get packing!!!!

I've been sewing too, so I totally know how you feel! Shopping, now we're starting to "stage" the stuff we're going to pack, but that we won't need for the next 2 weeks, like a laundry bag, FE gifts, FE, travel toiletries, first-aid kits, oh man, now there's even more to do!

Hey, Stlucielady!I'm sorry..I sent this earlier to the wrong person! Still just trying to figure out the ins and outs about this board! Congratulations and Welcome aboard! I also came late to the party. These boards are completely new to me, but have been very helpful. We really need to do the basic tours in both Rome and Naples, so would be happy to negotiate if you are interested in either of those! I'm about to confirm a Rome tour with romelimousines.com,but haven't decided whether to have them pick us up at the pier or at the train station in Rome. Here are the tours we are considering: Tour 34 or TOUR N.1A. I agree...the overload of info has caused complete brainfreeze! I'm also considering a naples tour if you might be interested. Let me know what you think! later......

Hey me0302. My husband and I would be really keen to join you for a tour of Rome. I have checked out romelimousines.com and really like the sound of tour n.1A. Would you be interested in joining up and sharing the cost? You mention 2 pick up points - does it cost more to be collected from the port? I hope we can join up to have a fab day in Rome and split the cost too:cool1:

Hello all,

Did anyone else get their room assignment changed by Disney? Today I got a phone message from Disney stating that my room had been changed and I needed to put the new number on my luggage tags. I checked online and confirmed that my room had been changed.

Since booking 3 weeks ago, I havent slept because of the excitement. Now, I cant describe the downer, deflated feeling in my gut. The room reviews showed that I had a larger room that was quiet. But now I am near a theater and there was a review of the AC not working.

I am trying not to get too upset because tomorrow is my birthday, but wonder why I got switched. I wonder if its because I am a solo cruiser???

That's a downer for sure :headache:. We haven't, but it has to be because they sold that category and needed another room? I just checked ours and we haven't been moved.
