Thanks to a wonderful DIS friend, he reminded me of some FE gifts I made and I am all set with FE gifts. Just a clarification - is it per person? Per children? Or per room? I thought it was at our discretion meaning we could decide. Sorry, to add any confusion. Any confirmation would be appreciated.

It's totally up to you, you can do whatever makes you happy! (We're going for low stress FE!) We just had a couple of families book kinda late that have little ones, so we wanted to put them out as optional for gifts, that's all. The list is still on the FE thread, with the two extra kiddos on it.

Also Bought something for Evie-mae (I will help her)to make for each persons room From her. Just trying to show our appreciation for including her @ such late notice, sorry once again for mucking the list up, and please rem she is an optional please dont feel you need to go out and buy extras. Ok need to get packing for my other Hol that starts tommorow @ our caravan with our 5 Grannie children. Look forward to catching up on posts when we get back next week.

Oh yeah!

It's worked out weird for me. I work September 1 - 3. Then I am off the weekend and Labor Day, then we leave on vacation and when I get back it falls on my long weekend. So I will be off work September 4 - 20!

The first week of our vacation is weird also. We have 3 holidays that week and I won't lose those 3 days of leave. A bonus will be Barcelona on Monday and the magic on Wednesday!

Ok, who else has an IPhone from the US and are you using it abroad and how are you handling the phone charges and the roaming fees? Are you just putting it on airplane mode and using free wireless at ports? Are you being good and putting it away for two weeks?

Scott's got a Blackberry and we're going to get the International phone and data plan for the 2 weeks we're there from Verizon. When we're on the ship he'll turn it off, but in port, on it goes!

I know...I don't want September to end EVER...but THIS month...I keep thinking it's closer than it is. Like Monday is 2 weeks...I swear I have felt like it was 2 weeks for month! But still lots to do so I guess I should be grateful for the time....just getting really excited!!!

We booked the Med. part of this cruise late and have not been able to get any takers for private tours in Villefranche. What to do

We have been booked on the TA part of this cruise for several months because in the spring we went to Hungary to visit my DD and SIL and it was cheaper to book a round trip ticket to get home than a one way so, of course, we HAD to use it and needed a way to get home again!(how about that for a run-on-sentence) This could get really fun!

Since our return ticket was for Sept. 1 and we don't board the ship until Sept.8 , we decided to make a stop in Madrid on the way down to Barcelona. It was suggested that we plan a trip to Toledo; that should be interesting.

My mother and I have been traveling frequently ever since my daughter married a basketball player who is now a professional playing in the European league. He has been on teams in Germany, Austria, Cyprus and Hungary. Of course, those are some of the places we have had the opportunity to visit.

Looks like we will have 2 Evie's on the FE list - how fun, I rarely run into that name.

I have an iphone and will be turning off the 3G and just using the WIFI.

We leave Sept 1st and the anticipation is killing me! At the same time, it seems like I have a lot to do (although manageable) including throwing Evie's 3rd birthday party for 35 people at our house this weekend - and time is starting to slip away for me to get things done. Work is going to have to suffer a little!

Tonight we are going to watch National Lampoon's European Vacation - since we will be in Paris and Italy - If anything goes wrong with our vacation, I'm sure it won't compare to the Griswold adventure.

I'm getting an international plan which starts on the 4th. But I'm prorating the first 3 days of Sept which also pro-rates the time allowed. Much cheaper than a surprise. Did that in Aruba once, won't do it again.

You will Toledo - plan on a day - its so quaint. Been there twice and both times, we were rushed out.

We got our Fish Extender from gradysmommy yesterday (I was starting to get worried, but she was awesome when I contacted her!) and I'm getting so excited to go!

Thankfully today is a pretty quiet day, plenty of time to work on FE stuff, I'm going to try getting the sticky backed foamies sheets to make door magnets from, you wouldn't believe all of the stuff I downloaded from the DISigners buckets for our door!

Just to show how lame I am (and this is Jennifer, not Scott, he'd just die if you all thought it was him being lame!) I've watched the two best You-Tube videos of horn battles with the Disney Magic that I've found like 50 times in the last couple of weeks, I know I'm totally going to tear up when I hear that horn! (Mental note, pack some travel kleenex packs...)

We (2 adults) are still figuring these out as well -- thinking of
training it up to Rome and getting a tour guide there----IF we have 6 people I think we could get a good deal on a private tour from the ship?? How many are you?
