Crazy high prices, huh? I'm looking for a mini van too, but haven't found anything reasonable.

What time of year? Last year for a week we paid a little less then $200 for 8 days at the end of August for a 8 passengers with Alamo. This year we only found a 7 passengers and it was about $320 for 7 days.

Paid $327.56 ($28/day) on our last trip in 2010. I probably couldn't went lower because my bid was immediately accepted.

Going in December; hoping to keep rate at $300 or less. Currently have a Dollar rental for $404 as a standy-by. Will try PriceLine and hope to win with a $20/day rate.
