ALL 8/9 MAGIC CRUISERS, I JUST WANTED TO SAY HOW EXCITED I AM ABOUT ARE CRUISE!!!!

"IM EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yes I'm excited about the cruise and our stay at the beach and Universal before, but I am having a serious problem dealing with the plane trip. I was always a panic person when flying. We have flown once, last year, after 911 but my daughter and I drove to WDW in May. And now this week the whole airplane thing started up again. I will not stay home or drive, and I know their whole point is to change our lives and mess with our heads - BUT I am just really having a hard time with this. Not so much as for myself, but we take our grandkids, I have lived pretty much of my life, but I don't want anything to happen to my grandkids. I haven't even filled out my cruise docs yet, or packed and we leave this Sunday. Send some Pixi Dust my way!

Try not to worry, Markey. You'll be much safer flying than driving. I'll be driving from South Carolina next Friday night. I wish we were flying instead! --Katrina

Markey:

I can remember my first flight about 3 weeks after 9/11. I was considering driving becuse of not wanting to fly. But my friend, who absolutely hates flying and is always medicated to walk onto the plane, was going to fly no matter what. Now, of course, she was medicated and had no clue, but the flight was fine and I actually felt very safe. If I didn't take that flight, I might not have never flown again. Since then I've been to WDW multiple times (all by plane) and don't even think twice about it. I do check out my fellow passengers more closely now, but walk onto the plane. Just one thing to keep in mind. You probably have a greater risk of something happening to you and your grandkids by driving, then by flying. Drivers are just to crazy and assertive now days. I've seen people on I-95 reading while driving, not even to mention those who are distracted by talking on cell phones. Plus it will only you take you about 2 hours to fly down (I think your coming from PA). Just say a prayer, and go for it! I'll also be on the 8/9 Magic. So see ya on the ship!

I just realized that one week from today my family and I will be on our way down to Orlando.. yup just a little bit excited!

This cruise will definitely be a celebration for me! This yr the town that I've taught in for 3 years went through huge cuts and let go every elementary teacher with less than 4 yrs, it was very stressful to go through that and get my masters degree in a one year program! Well- on Monday morning at 11:30 I have an appt to sign a contract to teach 1st grade in a new town AND I finished my master's degree Wednesday night! This is a much needed vacation this year! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'm just as excited Sophie, and thanks for the congrats!

Wow! I can't believe how quickly the time is passing until we leave on Friday! We're still unsure about what we're doing in St Thomas, can't decide what to do....
