We slept in a little this morning and the kids didn't want to go to breakfast so DH and I went to Triton's to eat. Had the waffle and actually liked the Mickey Waffles much better. This was a thin soft waffle and just wasn't as good as the Mickey! After we ate we went up to the buffet and got some cereal and bacon and took it back to the kids. They were real slow moving but finally got up and ate and got dressed. DS wanted to spend the day with his friends at Common Grounds and DD wanted to see the Prem-EAR of Princess Diaries 2. DS is gone by noon and we take off to see the movie. Movie was at 1, so we get some snacks and are in line about 12:30. The Prem-EAR was in the Walt Disney Theater so of course I have to spend some time at the Silent Auction while they're waiting in line! Soon we're seated the the theater. Movie was good but I liked the first one better. Love Julie Andrews! After the movie we go back and change into swimsuits and head to the pool for a while. DH and I have our massage at 5:45 so I decide to head back to the room a little early to start packing. I get asidetracked and end up at the silent auction again. This time I decide I'm going to do it! Gonna put a bid on one of them, but which one? After looking at them for 3 days I haven't decided which I like better but know I can only get one! I finally decide on the lithograph "Voyage of Enchantment" deciding factor being one of the stickers below the photo on the other one was a sticker for The Magic and since we were on the Wonder I decided against that one. I put the opening bid since no one else had bid and hoped no one else would! Then back to the room to start packing:sad: Didn't get much packing done because it was almost time for our massage. DS stopped in for a minute and I reminded him he had to pack by 11 pm and that him and his sister were going to Parrot Cay without us for dinner.
DH and DD come in from the pool and we're off to Vista Spa. DD plans to hang out in the room until the Lab finishes dinner then go there until her brother gets her for dinner.
When we made our spa ressies I had said we wanted the Well Being Massage but when we got there and they asked us again I decided to go with the Spa Taster (with the facial) instead I think the only reason I changed my mind was when they were describing the massages I thought the scalp massage sounded so inviting! DH decided to go along with me and have the same. I have to say I read several people here post about sales pressure and there was absolutely no sales pitches during our massage, in fact the only talking was to ask if the pressure was ok. After they were done they handed us a paper with all of the products used on it along with the prices and told us they were available if we wanted to purchase then they went out so we could dress. We put our tip on there and chose not to purchase anything and gave it to them when we left. They said thank you and walked us out. Absolutely no sales pitch!
Back to the room to dress for Palo. Ressie was at 7:30 so we could enjoy sunset! I wish I could remember our server's name but I can't! He was excellent. We sat down and ordered Limoncello Martinis. They were wonderful!! After a couple of them we ordered dinner. Calamari for appitizer, it was wonderful! I had the filet and DH had the Lamb. Our server had recommended the ravoili so we ordered it to share. Everything was fantastic! Then the Chocolate Souffles! They are everything everyone says and more! DH has to order the cappucino cheesecake too and it was so cute I had to take a picture of it! Then our server askes us if we are celebrating something. We tell him no. He keeps insisting we have to be celebrating something so we tell him it's almost our anniversary. Soon he comes back with a covered plate and tells us he has a very special dessert for us. He opens it and it is a plate with Happy Anniversary written on it! It was a wonderful evening!
We head to Parrot Cay when we were done to give our servers their tips and run into our new friends from Maryland and they ask if DD can go with them to see the 10:45 showing of Princess Diaries 2. Give our servers their tips and find out the 4 kids had eaten together! Stop by Treasure Ketch and find I won my lithograph so I pay for it and arrange to have it shipped home. Stop by the lab and return the pager. Back to the room to pack. DS has already been there and packed and left a note that he's at Common Grounds. DD packs and heads to the movie with our new friends. DH and I finish packing and put the luggage out at 10:45. Decide to run by Shutters and get any other pictures we want (and pick up the Christmas Cards we ordered yesterday). As we pass the rebooking desk on our way to Shutters we notice a line of people waiting to rebook. We kind of laugh about everyone rebooking because they don't want it to end! Off to Shutters and pick our last 2 pictures for our package. Back by that rebooking desk and we just can't make ourselves go any further! Next thing you know we've joined that line of people not wanting it to end. We decide that if we can get ressies on a West Coast cruise in August we're going to do it! West coast means no airfare expense! We can drive down in about 5 hours! It's finally our turn and we sit down and tell Danielle what we want. She just shakes her head and says she has nothing for 4 people and nothing adjoining. She keeps clicking away on her computer and finally says "I don't believe this!" Seems there are staterooms right across the hall from each other, Cat 6 veranda and Cat 11 inside on the August 6 West Coast! Looks like we're going on the Magic! Pay our deposit and back to the room happy as can be! (Still haven't told the kids though, they were looking foreward to Hawaii next summer but who know when the Magic will be on the West Coast again!)
DD gets back from the movie shortly after we get back to the room and DS comes in just after 2 when Common Grounds closes. Everyone sad it's almost over!
Tomorrow: Debarkation Day

I have been enjoying your trip reports so much! Thanks for the great details and the pictures. You have a beautiful family! I am glad you got reservations for the California cruises. When we moved to Florida we were so excited that we could take cruises without having to get on an airplane (extra expense). You will enjoy the relatively short drive to the port!

Really enjoyed your trip report! Thanks for posting and hope next years cruise is as magical.

I am really enjoying your reports. I'm just sad because it's your last day !!! I can't believe your going on the west coast cruise, you are SO Lucky !!!

I thought that was you bidding on the litho!!! DH was going to bid on it bu decided he wanted the Captain's hat and Life preserver. We got into a bidding war for the life preserver- DH got caught up in the excitement of the last few seconds and convinced the auctioneers to pull thast sheet first because of the # of bids. I can't wait till they get here!!!!!

Love your trip reports. I have to start mine!! We got delayed because of the hurricane and had to stay in WDW an extra few days- like I mind!!!! Needless to say, I'm still unpacking!!!

We also couldn't resist rebooking-got the same room (8532) for our 7 day but were shocked to find out the 7 day was less that what we paid for the 4 day because of when we booked!!! 3 days for free!!! (Ha! Ha!)

Glad you and your family had a great trip!!!

I enjoyed your trip reports!!! Thanks for taking the time to do them.

I'm sure I'll be one of those people in that re-booking line, too!!!

Wow! I loved your trip report and pictures. I am glad you were able to re-book on board. The only way DH gets me off the ship is the promise of another cruise. LOL

Great trip report! Nice pictures!

A couple questions here:

- Did you request a particular dinning rotation when you did the REAS package reservations and did you get it?

- Is there any discount for booking the west coast cruise on board?

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Ling

We did not request a dining rotation when we did the REAS package, it was our first cruise and I didn't really care what the rotation was.

The discount for rebooking the West Coast cruise was the standard rebooking discount, 10% off and $200 per stateroom onboard credit. Since we rebooked 2 rooms we get the $200 for each room!
