My son and I were discussing the cruise yesterday and for the first time he seemed curious about the journey.

I was beginning to wonder if he really wanted to go. I guess I have been excited enough for the both of us...

Are your young'uns excited yet?:bounce::Pinkbounc:bounce:

Bill, My two kids are very excited about the cruise. We went on the 4 day in 2000 and they liked it better than the parks.

Now that's saying a lot! Because of time constraints we will only have one day in the parks (EPCOT) before the cruise. Sounds like the order of things will be just right...EPCOT, possibly Cirque and then THE CRUISE!!!

Woooo Hoooo!!:bounce: :bounce:

:smooth:

Our family definetely agrees! Especially in August...cruising Disney style is much better. Last year went to DW for 4 days then the cruise for a week. This year 2 weeks of cruising and no hot, sweatty, crowded DW. Save DW for a different time of year!!! The cruise is well worth it and can't wait. :earsgirl:  :teeth:

PS-We will have DD-2, DS-5, DN-17, and DN-21. Anyone have college-aged children coming?

Gee everyone,
We are less than two weeks away!
I have (if you have forgotten) two daughters, ages 12 and 15. They are both going to try out the programs and then will decide. Maybe when we "meet" at 3PM all the kids can kind of get to know each other and it will be more fun for them!
I bought my Bonine today! I have my over the door hanger and other stuff collecting now!
See you all SOON!

My kids aren't too excited yet but I think that's because they have no idea what to expect. We saw a boat on tv the other day that was about 32' long and my youngest asked if the Magic would be bigger than that so she's clueless! I've shown her pictures but I guess she's having a hard time absorbing it all. I'm excited enough for all of us!

We are all excited. My DS10 wants to meet the other kids. He makes friends easy so I don't think the club will be a problem.

I've got stuff piled all over the spare bedroom waiting to go into the suitcases that I pulled out of the closet this morning.

Looking forward to tea with the girls on Thursday.

Hi girls, One week we will be in Mrytle Beach, 12 days on Magic!!!!! We have been out school shopping and finding bargains on summer clothes, ofcourse for Amy. We have clothes out all over our house, I do believe we will be packed by Wednesday. The boys are getting excited now, but my oldest and husband do not want to do the formal nights. I'll have to put some muscle on this. I am so excited !!!!!!! Pam

I'm glad to know that everyone's bedroom is beginning to look like ours. We started making "packing piles" Sunday.

Kamlem, have your camera ready when you pull up to the ship. Take a photo of your girl's faces. My TA told me she did this with her two and the picture of their expression was unbelievable.

I've been having nightmares. First one was that we got to the ship, went to our cabin and there wree other peoples things in it. We turned around to leave, and two DCL CM's were there and asked us to come with them. Tehy explained that the people who occupied our cabin on the previous sailing decided to sail again, and we were being moved, and we were moved to a miserable little interior cabin--they tried to pass it off as a Cat 12, but we found out it was actually crews quarters. At that point I woke up...

Last night I dreamed that DH and I went to the Surial bath. In my dream it was not a gorgeous spa, it was this tacky place furnished in Motel 6 style with ripped upholstery, and was filthy. They had run out of robes and towels, but picked up a dirty one out of a pile and handed it to me. Yuck! Then DH went to run an errand and left me there alone for twenty minutes. When he came back we found that the lock was broken, and there was a back door that would shut with one of the bars right on the other side.

Geez...

Anne

Anne,
You really need this vacation! I have those kind of nightmares about work! We are in the middle of refinancing our home and will need to leave many things hanging while we're gone. I'm spending my nights worring about this and work

I am not on your cruise, but I was hoping to ask a favor of someone going on the cruise. I just got back from the Aug. 3 cruise and had a blast. If you would be willing to ask Fidelio at dueling pianos a question or two for me please contact me. (Go figure I didnt ask while I was there) And if you want a laugh requset that he play "Flush the Magic Toilet" at one of the adult shows...it was hillarous!!!

Have fun....

We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary and need bubbly. Can't believe it is next week!!!:jester:

Twin Crazy, this is so cool. My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversay also. We will have to have a drink together.

Hello!!

Do we need to bring a travel clock or does the ship provide wake up calls?? We have EARLY excursions booked!

Also - when we get off the ship on port days, can you walk anywhere from the ship or do you have to take transportation to go anywhere?? Just curious.

I am SO looking forward to this vacation!

You can walk off the ship at all ports, but usually that will get you as far as some port side souvenir shops. You can walk from the ship to St. Maarten proper, but it is a nice hike. There are shuttles available.

In St. Thomas. I took a cab. Didn't cost much and I walked around from there. (By the way the cab driver really was like having your personal tour guide. a woman about 60 - 70 years old with a wealth of information...)

So you can walk around, but if you really want to see the islands in the time we have allotted you will need to find some form of transportation other than walking...

Picked up my prescription sunglasses last night--YEAH! I can see!

And today I'm covered in hives--an allergic reaction to something I ate yesterday. The weird thing is that everything I ate I've eaten many times before, so can't figure out what caused the problem.

Ah well, only 154 hours until I'm on holiday!

Anne

Hope you are feeling better soon, Anne. Its to close to be messing with hives:eek:
