Did you all see the new thread about the changes in dining times for a few July/Aug cruises? Interesting. Do you think they will extend the trial to our cruise?

Makes me very glad I requested late seating.

we're from central virginia, Lynchburg area!
I like the new time for late seating too!

We just made our final payment. Yippee!!! Hooray!!! That means we are getting closer. Unbeleivable how time flys. We booked over a year ago.

We just made our payment today as well! We booked 11 months in advance and it has been a long time coming! I think we have about 65 days left until we board the plane... yay!

We just made final payment today! Hurray! That means the time is getting closer! We are STILL trying to figure out what to do about snorkel gear. Did anybody ever find a place with a good price???

I'm still looking for gear for my kids as well. I have heard about guppygear (guppygear.com) that is especially made for kids and have been looking into that. Don't want to invest a lot of money as we won't use it a lot but I really do want my kids to have their own snorekel. Working in a hospital makes me very cautious about sanitation of recycled equip!

I see gear all over the place but I cannot tell if it would work well in the ocean. Is there anything in particular you have to look for or does any of it work? Thanks!

You and me both. Lets not even get into endoscopes!! I would NEVER let them use one of those one me--they can't be autoclaved!!!

Although bleach in the right concentration and when soaked for long enough will kill many bugs, including HIV, it wo'nt kill all bugs. Parvoviruses and coronaviruses are particularly nasty, and bleach will NOT kill them all.

Maybe I"m a little nuerotic about it, but better safe than sorry!!

I went to the DCL site yesterday and just for fun, I looked up making ressies for our cruise on Aug. 24. Guess what? There are NO ressies available for ANY of the Eastern sailings of the Magic in August! I thought ours would sell out, because it is an AAA "group" cruise. They had GREAT prices for a VERY few AAA members, we didn't get the great price, but we are going anyway! LOL So it looks like we will have full house.

Wow! I had a feeling it was going to be a full cruise, but didn't think it was going to be taht full!

FYI I called today to ask a few questions about shore excusions. We are traveling w DGD who is 1..On all the post I've read I was under the impression that no children under 3 were allowed on any of the excusions. Well I called twice and was told both times that if it says in booklet all ages,it means just that, all ages. The difference is some still charge the child rate even if the child is 1 or 2..We are doing the Butterfly tour and they consider my DGD a lap child so we don't pay for her!! This is great new for us because we really weren't sure if we would be able to get the right time for flounders. We can start making reservations for excusions as of tomorrow 6/25... Can't wait till 8/24/02

Wow!!! A full ship. We are going to have fun finding each other. Someone quick decide where and when we want to meet.:bounce:

I just booked my shore excursions--Under 2 Flags for St. Maarten and Charlotte Amalie Historical Tour for St. Thomas.

The Teen Regatta on St. Maarten has been cancelled permanently due to lack of response.

Hi everyone,

I am getting ready to pre-book my excursions for the cruise. I have a very non-adventurous 6 yr. old daughter to consider. I am definitely going to book the butterfly tour excursion on St. Maarten but have no idea what to book on St. Thomas/St. John.

I was going to book the Coral World/Island Drive in St. Thomas/St. John but my daughter wasn't interested (why? I don't know - she loves aquariums!!)

So. ...... should I book it anyway (coral world)? what do you all think of the St. John or St. Thomas Island tours?? I think the St. John would be nicer, no?

HELP!!

Thanks :-)
XOXO

I was wondering if any of you guys knew what night you are planning to do Palos. I want to do the "themed" nights in our "real" restaurants, but I do want to try Palos! Any ideas? Maybe we could all go on the same night???

I'm planning on getting PLAPLAP rotation, and doing Palo's on Wednesday evening.

Anne

It would be great if we could all do Palos together. How do we figure this one out?:bounce:

We were getting way to far back in the pages guys. Is the excitement wearing off already?

Celebrategoldens, did you find snorkle gear yet? If so where?
