That's exactly why after six months of Hazel homeschooling Angelina in sixth grade, Angelina went back to public school. Angelina was the one who asked to be homeschooled, and she begged to go back to public school after six months. It wasn't pretty around here.

Luckily our schools here are very good, at least IMHO. I just make sure I do my part at home, which is getting harder to do. :rotfl: Since oldest DD is getting into Algebra, we have had some battles. I still don't understand why they have changed the way they do some things.

I don't understand why they haven't come out with the price ranges yet. They had them out before the Med cruises... why not these? :headache:

I think we overloaded the server for a awhile. Everything went dark.

You animals! I take the kids to school and ...

... wander off to be productive for society and look what I return to find...

............ hundreds of new postings.... and several pages to review which I may never be able to cut through before the sun rises again?!?!? <chuckles> .... I guess that all must mean I've returned to the right ship!

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!

Todd, they really seem to like this.;)

Arrrgh!

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN!

I have been having problems all day. It erases things I typed, my smilies do what they want, and it keeps signing me out.

Yes!!!!!!

We have entered the PIRATE ZONE!!!!!!!!

Did someone say...

Caroline...

... to be sane and level for just a bit ... I would speculate they may have been evaluating how their "market" will respond to different pricing models. And the decision may not have been finalized which way they would swing... IE... towards a higher or lower skew. Frankly... (don't tell anyone else - especially DCL management) ... I thought the initial price of $1699 for the 15 nites seemed very tolerable. More so then the Med repositionings. Especially considering I would not have to fly open jaw from LA to Florida then return from Italy to LA. That sort of air fare is more then I care to even explore! But since I happen to live in LA... this elimenates one leg of air fare - and dispenses with the complexity of a one way from Italy... or another European airport.

So... I consider the PC voyage to be very tolerable. That is... if the pricing is not much higher then the spread that I ran a couple days back (please don't ask me to dredge up the posting number or page...) where the initial prices for the catagories I would consider are barely tolerable.

WHat I really want to know is how to handle the 3rd and 4th opassenger rates. If the pricing is too stiff - it might make more sense to book a 2nd inside cabin for the kids. Depending on how much the 3rd and 4th PAX rate are. Oh well...

So... anyone else have any thoeries as to why they're doing anything today?:surfweb:

Hi Crash---how was the dentist? Any good magazines?

Yep same old ship!!! Except that scurvy pirate Lisa the one who be leading the postins---shes back. That may mean we need to chat til MN to attempt a mutiny.

Stacey --you still sitting by your TV waiting for that announcement that never came?

Apparently I have to torture my children and run to Lowes. They loathe the place. Be back soon!!!!!

The dentist got her vacation bounty from me!

And my daughter got a synthetic dab of plastic expoxied into her molar.

I'm still not sure if it was a fair bargain. I should have held out for a spare treasure map or pirate tale (at least).

At any rate... it went well enough. The younger one sat with Mom on the chair while they dosed her with novacane, drilled and filled. She struglled a bit - more so then before - and it was enough to melt this pirates' resolve to pillage and plunder for a few minutes.pirate:

That is the question . . .
We are currently booked on the 3/16/08 Eastern. I booked the first day - I slacked off, so it was later in the day, but the FIRST day. My kids (age 7&9 at sailing) were only priced $100 less than the adults in the same cabin. :scared1: Take what you can, indeed.

I hope this isn't a trend.

Wow, so presumably for only $200 more you could have a second cabin...maybe a connecting one? As cool as that would be, this kind of pricing for children isn't right. :confused3

Well, now that I am caught up, I must get back to my household chores...guess it should look like something got done around here when my DH gets home!:goodvibes

Still hopeful for the Repo! My new DU TA is on the ball! (and probably lurking here as well!..hey Tracy!!) So I hope to know before we set sail on the 3rd!

Thanks again for checking on me Judy!!

Well now... at $100 less then for Mom and Dad... I would have kicked another $200 in for a 2nd cabin - or I would have considered dropping the catagory on a 2nd cabin for a bit of savings if possible.

In my case there is no significant need for the square footage gain (unless a connecting door is available) - but I do snore. Well... we all snore. So maybe what we really need is FOUR seperate cabins !!!!! <chuckles>

Seriously, I do hope for significantly lower rates on the 3rd and 4th PAX... anything else would be kind of annoying...

YA HEAR THAT DCL !!!!

I used to want to do this.... before I had kids. There is no way I could keep my cool with my own all day. Oldest DD and myself are too much alike.

LOL! That is exactly why I can't do the HSing thing. DD & I would clash too much. DS works well on his own & would advance fine.

Pleasant to hear (er, rather ... read) from ya!

How lucky to be sailing in a little under 2 weeks!!!!

Seeing as you're fixing for a voyage soon - your absence is forgiven...

... but we expect triple the postings on your return!
