Well, what really SHOULD scare me is that there is a big difference between our fault line from the ones in CA. Ours is described as several fault lines all stacked up on one-another. So the "big one" here will probably destroy a good portion of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and be felt by something like 16 or 17 other surrounding states...

Below is a map of the last big quake here on the New Madrid in 1895, and as you can see, it was a 6.8. The red is all area where structural damage occured, and the yellow is where movement was felt. Compare the area effected with that of the 6.7 in CA in 1994. It's really scary to see such a wide area of destruction!! :scared1:

We carry earthquake insurance! But I have to tell you never really gave it a thought! But your stories are scary.:scared1: :scared1:

In all fairness, the Captain was posting before and after the supposed 'run'. I think we all take him at his word that he was not actually trying for that post.

After all, if you can't trust Captan Jack, who can you trust? :rotfl:

Very Well said Mate

I don't know about cake, but since Hazel is gone for the weekend, Angelina and I just ordered Chinese take-out, should be here soon, yum! yum! :)

That is what us girls had for lunch today!:thumbsup2

We do the same with current 8th graders, but our concern is they will be getting drivers permits in June '08, so we are weighing cost of cruise with a car for them :confused3 Since we did the '05 repo it's really our "twice in a lifetime event" versus a car to relieve Mom's Taxi Service!

Michelle

Michelle, you don't have to pay for the insurance while they only have their permits.:thumbsup2

quick, let's all go post over there

evil I tell ya just plain evil. Love it !!:lmao: :lmao: Just as a true pirate: would of course.

Boy, their thread moves sloooooooooow. Now it's on 6892. And not too many banners in their siggies. Maybe they need better leadership?:rotfl2:
Some newbie to the thread commented that there was too much to catch up on. Good thing he/she is going West and not East!:rotfl2:

:offtopic: Sorry to interrupt the typical posting of blah blah blah, rugby, t-******, groundhogs, room assignements and when our website will be up...:rolleyes1 I just had to share this...

Sensing that I am a bit down today because of my Dad, my DH  and DD:angel: just gave me my birthday present...deciding what our plans will be for vacation this summer. We were originally going to sail Carnival...NOT. DH took it upon himself (I am the compulsive planner, not he) and booked us on RCCL Explorer of the Seas!

It sails 6/9 and sails from Cape Liberty, NJ. NO AIRPORTS!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I am not afraid to fly at all, I just hate the hassle!!! It will be great to wake up, hop in the car and in a couple of hours be on the ship! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Ports are Kings Wharf, St Thomas, St Maarten and San Juan.:cool1:

You may now return to our usual blah, blah, blah...:rotfl2:

What a wonderful Bday present! Do you think your DH can give my DH some lessons:rolleyes1

Just checked their thread, they are at 6892. Looking back it takes them over a day to do 100 posts. So tomorrow morning we all go over to that thread and show them some fluff and snatch their pirate.

I saw that also.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I figure if I can't get a pirate: here I might have a better chance over there. Guess I could check back tomorrow to see what post they are at.:rotfl2:

Well, I guess we needed that advice about a year ago last month. Here are few pictures we took last February. Mark's first time visiting there. I had been as a kid. Canadian side.

The first one is from behind the falls.

Great pictures. I went when I was about 10, really don't remember much about it.

We have to be faster. We lose all those hours coming back eastbound.

After all, if you can't trust Captan Jack, who can you trust? :rotfl:

No one said anything about trust! He is a pirate afterall!! I said that if he could snag a pirate: by holding a post for the "right time" he was better at this game than we thought! :thumbsup2

Have a good night everyone, I will check in later.:)

My DW is greatly dismayed by the fact that while our DS has been married for over 12 years and they have no grandchildren.

I warn everyone with children that my DW loves kids and wants to adopt them all as grandchildren.

William & Kaitlyn will be very happy to see you guys again on this cruise. :goodvibes

Everyone posting about NF is making me want to go there! That last picture with the rainbow is beautiful! :goodvibes

I keep hoping to get there some day too. We've had two trips planned that included NF but had to cancel both due to something or another.
