Good Morning Everyone :wave2:
It may take all day to catch up but I will try.:surfweb: Rough night at our house last night. DD was soooo upset. She had a power point project due today. She has been using my computer everyday and working really hard on it well when it wen't time to put it on the floppy it said internal memory full. She x out of the screen , thinking it was saved well it wasn't and she lost the last 4 slides of her project.

I was able to format a new disk for her and put what was saved.:sad2:

Homework is for the parents too you know! Glad you could save it for her.:)

I've heard that Alaska Airlines are one of the very best.....and there's the proof. I'd LOVE to fly on one of those!
me too, me too :goodvibes

It's a fancy way to say my knees ache.............:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Well I knew that already, didn't you ?:rotfl2: I really hope they up up for you Andy.:wizard: :wizard:

There is a huge viewing area called Ports of Call. It is a quaint little fishing village with shops and restaurants. There is decking all along that you can watch the boats go by. We went here with about 500 other Disers when the Magic was here in 2005. My parents came down to wave us off when we set sail in July.

I hear you!!! My Dad just cruised the Valor in January and said it was one of his favorite cruises and he's cruised A LOT!!! I liked the ports on the Legend, but the ship seems to draw a non-Disney type crowd:rolleyes1 So, it was cruise that one in a Cat 12 suite (their top) or the Explorer in a balcony stateroom for the same $$$. Consider the savings in not having to fly and voila...Explorer of the Seas here we come!!! BTW, RCCL Adventurer sails from SJ as well...nice itinerary as well...:rolleyes1

Yes it does.........Did that one in '05..........

Thought about it for this year as well................but $$$$$$ difference was quite large. PM me if anybody wants to know how little the Carnival Cruise cost is........... We chose the Highest level Balconey on the Lido Deck.....just like last year. As for the crown onboard.........different, but we are going without Stinky Teens......

This is crazy! The sun is now shining brightly and the rain has stopped. The street drains are either blocked or just backed up from the amount of rain that fell.

Glad your weather improved! It has been nice and sunny here today--just very windy.

Well, what really SHOULD scare me is that there is a big difference between our fault line from the ones in CA. Ours is described as several fault lines all stacked up on one-another. So the "big one" here will probably destroy a good portion of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and be felt by something like 16 or 17 other surrounding states...

Below is a map of the last big quake here on the New Madrid in 1895, and as you can see, it was a 6.8. The red is all area where structural damage occured, and the yellow is where movement was felt. Compare the area effected with that of the 6.7 in CA in 1994. It's really scary to see such a wide area of destruction!! :scared1:

Wow, that is scary. Is there really any safe place to live in the USA?:confused3

I don't know about cake, but since Hazel is gone for the weekend, Angelina and I just ordered Chinese take-out, should be here soon, yum! yum! :)

We had that last weekend. It was good but hard to have after coming home from the cruise.:)

Oh yay!! :yay: :yay: :yay: DMom will be so happy about this! For a second I thought she was going to suggest that we share a room at the hotel so as to maximize grandkid time!

Now that I'm up to date (for the present time) I've got to take Angelina to her friend's house. I'll try and check in a little later on, as I have bills to pay and a checkbook to balance.

anything is better then Carnival ....I have just had a couple of bad experiences with them and to be honest would really never do them again

pirate:

It took one time for me and I will never go back !!! That was 1988 .:rolleyes1

To those that may have been wondering- DH's shoulder is still hurting and is worse now (again) since the 6 day dosage pack of the medrol was over last Sunday. I've been trying to reach the dr office all week and kept getting the answering machine saying to call back during business hours (till 5pm) and kept calling back and then every day aroun 4:30-4:40pm the answering machine would say to call back when they were open! ugh! I finally yesterday had to act like it was an emergency to page the dr on call- who happened to be our dr yesterday... and he called back. Jeff has an appt with an orthopedic surgeon on next Monday. Most likely they will do xrays, possibly schedule and MRI but also most likely give him a cortizone shot in the shoulder (dr says he can't do that) and that should help a lot. I hope so, because he's still in lots of pain and still taking vicodin at night because he's so scared it will hurt bad and not be able to sleep again. He can't live on vicodin every night to get sleep! :scared1: That's especially not good because he works early and sometimes gets called in in the middle of the night- his job is dangerous enough as it is without vicodin in his system...
Will update later!

I hope that you all get some answers soon.

:offtopic: Sorry to interrupt the typical posting of blah blah blah, rugby, t-******, groundhogs, room assignements and when our website will be up...:rolleyes1 I just had to share this...

Sensing that I am a bit down today because of my Dad, my DH  and DD:angel: just gave me my birthday present...deciding what our plans will be for vacation this summer. We were originally going to sail Carnival...NOT. DH took it upon himself (I am the compulsive planner, not he) and booked us on RCCL Explorer of the Seas!

It sails 6/9 and sails from Cape Liberty, NJ. NO AIRPORTS!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I am not afraid to fly at all, I just hate the hassle!!! It will be great to wake up, hop in the car and in a couple of hours be on the ship! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Ports are Kings Wharf, St Thomas, St Maarten and San Juan.:cool1:

You may now return to our usual blah, blah, blah...:rotfl2:

Great bday present. Way to go to your DH and DD. :thumbsup2

I've seen the flying whale!

But have you seen the flying salmon?
fish%20plane.jpeg

This is actually very controversial, since it is a composite salmon. It is a wierd combination of coho, humpy and red salmon, which really urks us Alaskans.

We know our salmon.

Laura: Those pics of the falls care great. The last 2 were they also taken in Feb? Looks like a beautiful warm day. Love the rainbow.

Brooke came home from school in a good mood. I think the teacher was very fair with her. She gave her a extention to turn it in on Monday. Brooke will be doing the work again this weekend but she doesn't mind. She told me she has a 103 currently in the class as her grade.I asked her how she could get a 103?:confused3 Her answer.............extra credit Mom.:goodvibes

Yikes! Just got back from 5 days of Disneyland and there's 5171 posts to catch up on - hmmm maybe I'll pass.

I did get to talk with one of the Disney artists doing a watch design for the POTC anniversary watch. It's basicaly the 'Talking Head' at the ride enterance with the anniversary logo beneath.

DD (5) was now tall enough to do her first rides on: POTC, Space Mountain, BTRR, Star Tours (too many times to count). Still too short for Indie and California Screamin'

Still no cabin assignments for us :confused3

Andy
