Nighty night:cool1:

Okay, I just Ebayed our Audiobooks for our WDW Roadtrip next month. Whatd'ya think?

A Paper Life - Tatum O'Neal' Bio (DH is thrilled with that one :lmao: )
The DaVinci Code - Resisted reading or go to movie waiting for this trip.
Bob Newhart's Anthology - 2 CD set of his best routines
Rocky Allen Showgram CD - skits from his Radio Show
What Remains - A memoir by Carole Radziwill. She was married to the cousin of JFK Jr., and he had cancer. The book is about losing all three of them in a short time and then being alone. (DH not thrilled here either)

Personally I can't wait to listen to all of them. Gotta love Ebay. Total Cost: approx $50 for all 5, less than I'd pay for 2 in the store!

That is a great idea! Since we wont have XM next trip I might try doing this while the kids are watching their movies. Maybe we could do a book that they could enjoy too. :thumbsup2

Reading over all the condolences for the loss of Todd's Father, I must just reiterate how much we truly have in common. It's amazing really.

Each response that I read relating to Todd's situation really strikes a chord in me. This is the first time that I have been in touch with so many people who can truely understand that part of me. :grouphug:

Welcome back to the betta family. SWMBO bought one to occupy the little tank DD's fish Sean was lived in before he passed and we bought a 20gal. aquarium. Her betta's name is Vista. She works for Micro$oft and I suggested "Vista Betta" was an appropriate name for her fish.

20 gallons for 1 fish?? That must be one happy fish!:cool1: I like the name - pretty clever.

Good Luck on the train store dahuffy what kind of trains does it have..

Everything from Z to G Scale. Kev's into HO. We had a 900 sq.ft building built in our back yard that he intends to put his choo-choos in. Same size as my first house.:scared1:

Kevin just agreed to take over the model train store he's worked at,on and off,for the last 12 years! Long story short. The lady who owned it originally had a combination model train and beading store. Because of health reasons, she needed to get out from under the train side. She sub-let it to an older gentleman(Conrad) who turns out, knows doodle squat about running a retail business and even less about trains. That was about 5 months ago. He has now decided he wants out. Poor Jeanne was beside herself because that's another $750 a month that she has to scrape up. She told us a man came in and offered Conrad $.25 on the $1.00 for his inventory and then he'd sell it on Ebay. Kevin found out about it today when he went into work. He called Conrad and said "Why not keep it in the family?" Conrad said, consider it a deal!! He doesn't want any money up front. He's going through a messy divorce and bankruptcy at the moment and doesn't want any cash in his accounts.

So, we are going to be changing the name from "Grandpa's Trains and Things" to "Grumpy's Train Shop/Store"

Wish us luck!!!

All the best! Will you do mail order or internet? DH is collector...

yargrnhoj can you hear the storm at your house? We must have ice with the snow 'cause you can really hear it hit the house and the wind is strong too..

We can sure hear it here (30 miles straight West of the city)! The snow/ice is thick in the air and it is hard to even see the next door house. A good night to be in doing "ketchup" on the DIS! :thumbsup2

I'll let you know. He most likely will set something up on that line. What scale is your hubby into? He and Kev might have something in common...that'll be fun for them to talk about!

Aaarrgh!! STILL no Small or even X-small sizes! I just saw this post around 4:30 today and rushed over to see and NOPE none in my size. Last month at WDW I looked everywhere and they had all the kid sizes and M, L, XL in adult - but NO small or x-small adults. Why, why, why???? You'ld think I'd be fine since I can actually wear either size - I'm right in the middle and the "small" is just a little loose, but perfectly wearable and the "x-small" is a little snug but is fine after I wear them for a few days to stretch them out a bit. With 2 potential sizes you would think I would have twice the selection - but 0 + 0 is still 0

:grouphug: Maybe they are waiting for the REALLY good deal to put your size up there. :thumbsup2 Thanks BIP for posting this earlier. I managed to order one of the light grey ones with pink straps for me afterall.

I just received word a few minutes ago that our DCL CM friend Tanya passed away this afternoon. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

Andy, I am so sorry that you received this news today. You said that she had not been doing well, so hopefully knowing that she is at peace can be a comfort to her friends and family. :grouphug:

You're probably thinking of hard drive space and not memory. With Vista running, I am only using 32% of available memory right now -- but all I am running is IE.

My Windows folder consumes about 6GB of hard drive space. This computer has a 250GB hard drive but I bought an external 500GB hard drive from Fry's last year that I can access from all our computers that stores my photos and music.

Cool - other computer techy geeks! I am currently doing "musical computers" at our office. I bought 2 new machines which are for my father and myself (since I'm the only power user and he is the boss!). Then our machines get moved to my mother (she is our bookkeeper) and our part time secretary. AND then one of their computers becomes DS's office computer (for his games when he is there on days-off, breaks, summer, etc) and one will come home with me for his games here.

I just don't want to even think about dealing with Vista in the midst of all that! Also, I don't know if some of our ancient programs will work with Vista (I haven't researched it yet) but we are still using QuickBooks 2000, ACT 6.0 and a few other older things.

So far, I have DF's done and am working on mine. THere is just a ton of stuff to install and configure. Mine is particularly bad since it acts as the "server" for our little bitty network. (I always find that funny since I've been a network administrator in the past and our little 5 PC network barely counts!)

Pam.. you said that and I had to get up and go look out the window to see if we were as bad.. and it is snowing steady but not as bad as by your house . I can still see the house accross the street. ( I am by Woodfield so just a bit north of you)

OK, so I got all caught up with Saturday...that is 2/17 Saturday, not today. You guys were a riot. I wanted to join in the sing-a-long, but just thought it would be too silly joining in a week later.

Congrats to everyone that got their shiney, new TAGS (really, I mean that...not jealous at all.....I go on vacation and ten more fellow pirate DISers get tagged THAT afternoon, and then the TF gets tired and goes away...I'm not taking it personally....nope, not at all....really...)

Mark - loved the Mickey Jail story. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:welcome: Welcome TMTIP :welcome:

...and now I am really tired and going to bed.

'Night all
