In keeping with Judy's game of "Guess the CM"...

This pic was from 2005, but he was still onboard the Magic as of 10/06.

 Yep, you're right! His name is Florentin. In 1/05 he was just a photographer and then was promoted. Unfortunately he didn't seem to be working with the guests any longer. Big mistake!:sad2:

He and DD hit it off immediately! As a matter of fact, we were picked as Shutter's Family of the Week!

I saw a guy in Hooters last night with a black mark on his forehead. I kept looking at him thinking what that could be when I realized what day it was. (I'm not Catholic, but a Christian I am aware of the holy days, or should be).

I guess it was the juxtaposition of going to church, getting your ashes, and then coming to Hooters that threw me off balance.

I'm actually cynical enough not to be surprised that someone went to church, got ashes, and then went to Hooter's . . . what surprised me is that he didn't wipe it off before he went to Hooter's! Of course, maybe his wife would have wondered why it was gone when he staggered home later?

My DH is a PO and I can tell you that they definately do not get paid enough for what they do.

I would imagine not. I know I complain every time I get stopped for speeding, but your DH and the other men/women in blue provide a service and deal with danger while I sit in an office complaining it's a little chilly.

Here is a pic of Rocky. That was one of his Christmas presents and one of his favorite since. We didn't tell him it was PINK!

Sorry it's so small. Haven't figured this out yet.

We had a Boston Terrier from the time I was a Junior in H.S. up until the year Jay and I were married. His name was Toby, and I swear, he was the smartest dog I've ever known.

I hear ya there........He was so good with guests....the last crew were unsociable and forget joking around with them, so you can imagine how much they liked me........

I had forgotten his name. Thank you for reminding me of it. Florentin is great in the management aspect too and atleast knows how to get Shutters organized, clients happy, served quickly, ......I would walk through there and he would call me over and say......"I found another one of Blake hidden under someone elses stack....I saved it for you"

Yes.......
7. J.R. is caught in skimming scam.........you've put the groundhog list on the groundhog list.....

No, I think if you'll look at my posts this morning, I started from page 1 and worked my way back today. (I usually jump back to where I left off and start from there, but I wasn't in much of a mood to post last night so I wasn't sure if I'd

all the way back.

I didn't expect you to take my job and post the GH list. :sad2:

One last thing about Ash Wednesday . . . usually I go to the noon service and my kids have never gotten ashes, but I missed the noon service to have lunch with a friend so went last night at 6:30. My oldest daughter decided she wanted to go, so it was her first time to get ashes. By the end of the service she said her forehead was stinging and it looked red -- we washed it off right after the service because it was clear she was having some kind of reaction.

Now my question is -- is this some kind of Omen thing, like when Damien couldn't be baptized and started screaming? What does it mean that my daughter's body is rejecting ashes made from Palm Sunday crosses?

She would hate it if she knew I posted this, BTW . . .she is a redhead and has very sensitive skin and would probably want me to note that she has been baptized and takes communion regularly with no stomach upset!

I don't quite understand it either. I mean doing it at IHOP, sure, but Hooters?

I suppose it was possible it was actually fireplace ash and he was just using it to pick up the chicks at Hooters.

Hey you were late and I was picking up the slack.........tomorrow you are on your own....if you are late we will all fill up your PM box with groundhog questions....:lmao: :lmao:

ITA!!! I was a bit disappointed on our last trip...he didn't make it out from the shop once with a camera.:sad1:

Here was our other 'buddy' from that trip. I haven't seen her since. I wonder if she's gone now. She had DD behind the counter with her working!:rolleyes1

Oh, can you tell I'm a Shutters junkie too?;)

That's it -- I'm sure that the chicks at Hooters are really turned on by religious symbols . . . who knows what they would do if he whipped out a rosary?

Sorry, went to breakfast with SWMBO this morning instead of being at work at gawd-awful-early-six-o-clock-in-the-freaking-morning (as I call it).

And as long as you don't fill my ACTUAL mailbox with ACTUAL groundhogs, I'm fine.

For the 11 Night cruise, they sent some of the Shutters staff from the Magic over to the Wonder to help out....and he was one of them. I was glad, he's always been one of my favorites. And they did have him helping to take pictures on that cruise!

No :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I don't think you need to run out in the streets screaming "the omen......

Redheads are overly sensitive to many things (and also have a tendency to bleed easily.) I don't know much about this --not Catholic either.
Explain what they use to create the ashes and any other liquids or additives....

Since I just uploaded the pictures so far this year I want to share a couple.

This is DD looking all grown up but hamming it all the same. DH made the frame for the print we bought on the last cruise. This is the beginning of our Disney family room. :goodvibes

Of course I can't leave DS out. This is him helping DH put his new 20" bike together a couple weeks ago. This is the $20 shipped huffy bike that I bought on Amazon 7 years ago.

Yesterday DD wanted to make us muffins. After watching over her breaking the eggs & adding it all together, I let her mix it up on her own. This is how I found her when I went back to check on her. :goodvibes

Agreed! he was on the Wonder during the 11 night Southern Cruise. I think we mortgaged our house to him :lmao:

Now that I think about it though:

1) It's the day after Mardi Gras
2) A rosary is a string of beads
3) The restaurant is called Hooters.

I should stop there to avoid being banned. Y'all can fill in the blanks.

At the end of the Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras) party, they burn all the old dried up palm crosses that everyone has been saving since last Palm Sunday (when they were fresh and beautiful). That's it -- the ashes used on Ash Wednesday are just burned up old dry palm fronds.

She is really sensitive though -- can't put a lot of things on her skin or it gets irritated.
