I'm assuming that the stupid part is the NC State part. Right, Lisa? Right? Oh, where's Brack when I need him? :sad2:

It was a great game though, and the Tarheels won (!!!!) , and Lost will be on abc.com tomorrow.

:woohoo: for me, for you.

Oh please don't make me say nasty things about basketball teams from the State of North Carolina. We used to have a song we sang about N.C., N.C. State, Duke and Wake Forest when I was in college.

Congrats!

:scared1:

:rotfl: :rotfl: The guys at work once gave me a coffee mug and a t-shirt that says "I'M OUT OF ESTROGEN, AND I'VE GOT A GUN"

You can't vote? Because you are in Canada? :confused3 That doesn't seem fair!

Wouldn't it have to be "North American Idol" if they let people from Canada (I just realized I can't spell Canadian") vote?

OMG!!! For those of you on the West Coast, watch the first singer and then come back for the last 15 minutes and catch the last singer. WOW!

Switched between that and Criminal Minds. Outstanding!!

When we were married (1975) Hazel was 4' 8.5" tall (or short) now she is 4' 7" I call her my incredible shrinking woman. ;)
Awww, well that HAS been a long time ago. in 32yrs I may be shorter too! :lmao:

:surfweb: Good morning all!

Not too bad at all...only 3 pages to catch up.:thumbsup2

For those of us in the NE, enjoy the weather while it lasts. Cold is in our future again.:sad2: Check back in again after I get DD off to school!

Jennifer!

oooh, great cake you received Jennifer! That's the kind of cake *I* want for my birthday!

Here is a pic of Rocky. That was one of his Christmas presents and one of his favorite since. We didn't tell him it was PINK!

Sorry it's so small. Haven't figured this out yet.
Aww, he's very cute. And real men wear pink anyway. :)

My youngest says basagna (lasagna) and asks if she has "nuts" in her hair when I brush it.:rotfl:

Awww, too cute!
(I'd be tempted to respond, I certainly HOPE you don't have nuts in your hair! and then refuse to explain what I meant. I meant I hope you don't have knots in your hair, ofcourse. :rolleyes1 )

:sad2: My 7th grader goes to an afterschool program called "Homework Assistance" because he continually forgets the homework AND the agenda! Maybe after a year of this, he'll decide he'd rather be on the baseball team, and finally get his *shirt* together.
Well that tends to work here.. agenda not filled out? Weekly Friday paper saying she wasn't wearing her glasses, didn't turn in homework on time, etc? = no soccer. She'd really rather play soccer than not. ;)

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention we also have to do a Friday paper she has each teacher sign/check off saying if she wore her glasses, turned in work on time, etc? Because ofcourse the agenda just helps her remember what homework she has, that doesn't guarantee she turns it in on time! (and doesn't help make sure she wears her glasses, etc.) Friday paper not signed by every teacher = no tv or computer all weekend... which = no fun for Ruby. LOL

Allowance?

My kids get one dollar per school grade (4th grade = $4). 25% of that must go to savings.

My oldest DS said to me: So, when I'm in 12th grade I'll get $12.00/week?
I thought to myself, yeah, I wish. I just smiled at him and said won't you be so excited to get so much money?

So will he get $12 per week?
I'm curious because I've done the grade thing then half your age thing... not like the end up getting their allowance hardly ever anyway (they lose it for various reasons: including conduct at school, behavior at home, not doing chores + trashing the house all the time, etc.) but I often wondered what I'm going to do when they get older and I'm giving out massive amounts of allowance per week if we stay at the same rate!

Oh I forgot to mention yesterday we got up to 82! I'm telling ya, we were very tempted to take our first dive into our pool! That's 3 days in a row we were atleast mid 70's or higher. I wonder if we'll get that temp today too... this morning has started out a wee bit cooler (40's) than the last few days. We'll see. Won't be long before we get to break in our pool! :)

(sorry to those still having cold weather, ice/snow/etc. :( )

Hey, so who has husbands that wear Haggar pants? Just curious. I saw the commercials linked to the other day... hilarious! But I wonder if they really are as great as the commercials say. The cheapest I've seen online is $29.50 a pair... and I found an ebay auction (by chance, looking at seller's other auctions for a pair of boots I was looking at for DH- baby needs some boots because his are flat worn out from the ground up LOL) for 5pr, the poplin kind with belt... for $34 something for ALL 5 pair and that includes shipping! So that's a great price, I hope they are great pants like the commercials say.

A DISer got the Roy. :thumbsup2

I was going to answer that a while back. They don't give the Big-Wigs the suites. Ever. On the 11 Night, us Moms had the Walt, even though Tom McAlpin was on the cruise. I wondered if he was jealous.;) ;) ;)

In keeping with Judy's game of "Guess the CM"...

This pic was from 2005, but he was still onboard the Magic as of 10/06.

No .. I can't and it's not, but we do have Canadian Idol, only none of our idols seem to last past the first year. We haven't produced a Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood yet. The last season, I didnt' even bother to watch!

For everyone who is on the "short" side and doesn't like it when they feel tall in the crowd - I'm 5'10" without heels which I wear frequently when I'm dressed, usually the 3-4" variety (DH is 6'3" so I can get away with that!).

You know, I can honestly say I don't have that problem. Considering what I do for a living, when compared with what teachers and police officers and soliders/sailors/airmen are paid for what they do, I am grossly overpaid. Not that I plan to give any of it back to my monolithic faceless corporation, mind you -- that's what charities are for.

My DH is a PO and I can tell you that they definately do not get paid enough for what they do.

Maybe he was! LOL

But that's different. Us feeling uncomfortable when people are shorter than us is probably a lot like you would feel around a bunch of women taller than yourself or something. :rotfl: :confused3

Ps. I only got 2hrs sleep again last night! Boy, I'm running on empty now but can't take a nap... appt at 10am and lots of errands to run today. Maybe I'll get so worn down I'll finally sleep AT NIGHT tonight. Ya think?

DH's shoulder was feeling fine last night. He only woke up once (potty break- that happens when you're starting to drink more water like you should LOL) and said his shoulder didn't hurt at all... but again he took a vicodin last night. It only hurt a "little" this morning and I only found that out because I asked, it wasn't like he volunteered the info. So I know he's feeling much better. I just hope it lasts past the medrol dosage pack (5 more days to go) and I hope he doesn't have to keep taking vicodin to sleep at night. It wasn't even hurting much last night but he was 'afraid' to go to sleep without the vicodin because if it end up hurting in his sleep, he'd not get any sleep again... (and remember this is the person who has avoided taking vicodin in the past even after surgeries!)
thanks again for the prayers!

My DH told one of the kids at the studio tonight that his forehead was dirty! :rotfl: Then he realized his Mom's forehead was "dirty" too. Oops!
He was mortified! He's a Methodist and although Ash Wednesday is observed, it is not quite the same as the Catholic church.

He was feeling pretty much like a heathen with the look the Mom gave him! :lmao:

I saw a guy in Hooters last night with a black mark on his forehead. I kept looking at him thinking what that could be when I realized what day it was. (I'm not Catholic, but a Christian I am aware of the holy days, or should be).

I guess it was the juxtaposition of going to church, getting your ashes, and then coming to Hooters that threw me off balance.

:cool1: i got a 100 i know its not alot compared to others but its a start:)

Oh, it wasn't long ago I only had a 100 posts. Then I started running my big mouth around here and now I have over 1000.
