Good Thursday all.

Another day in my own little Paradise :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Let's see I've got a training session in 20 minutes, my performance review and a whole boatload of documents to review because someone else dropped the ball. Somedays I just don't get paid enough!!!!!

Is it too early to start drinking???? It's 5 o'clock somewhere.........

What a coincidence
I'm in the don't get paid enough club too

AAARG My heater is broken...Waiting for my brother to come over... Please send me some "low cost" voodoo

OH NO! I hope it is something that can be fixed easily and inexpensively.

Did you check the thermostat? If it is the kind that uses batteries, did you replace them?

Joel we did the whole research the breeds too. We had 2 dalmatians with us for 12 years. We were having our waterslide installed in the backyard and a contractor left the gate open. They got out and ran for it.Well along the way I guess the pack mentality kicked in and they managed to locate a malpractice attorney and his 2 show shelties. They attacked them. The guy demanded we put them down..it was so sad for us and on top of it all I was ready to deliver any day......

We definitely wanted a breed that was great with kids, gentle and not hyper. We were invited to a Beardie Bash over in Tampa. Imagine 150 beardies bouncing around......Well of course we were sold.....I contacted a breeder and we were supposed to get one of her litter and the mom aborted the puppies. We were in tears and she liked us so much that she called a friend of hers in Denver who also shows nationally and amazingly I got a call the next day that she had kept River out of the last group to show and his testicle never descended so she was regretfully going to have to give him up.........He arrived at MCO 2 days later......

Judy....that must have been so hard to put your dogs down...:sad1:

What a nice story about River....he's a keeper!

I like what I'm hearing about the beardies....have to remember about that breed in the future. We are so used to having 2 dogs in the house now, when we loose Beau, I'm sure we'll have to get Sloopy another playmate. And I can NOT handle another spaz like Sloopy! One is more than enough. So....I'll be looking for a calmer breed....

When I got home last night the batteries needed replacing... did that.
It seems like the auto pilot won't light. I could smell gas.

I called one of my brothers and he walked me through some stuff. It would come on, but not get hot.

I'm such a freak about potential emergencies overnight. I told another brother that I was afraid that gas would leak and kill me and the boys in our sleep.

I know, I know...I worry too much...It's just hard being the only adult in the house. I'm always thinking about how I could possibly carry both of the boys out of the house if there was a fire or other emergency.

Morning everyone. As Liz said it's a beautiful day.

i always wanted a great dane and i worked in a animal shelter from the time i was 11 till i was 18 so i called up a rescue but it was harder to adopt a dog than a child i can understand the vet checks but they wanted to come to my house nit a problem however they wanted my to carpet my steps we dont even use the upstairs i have a rancher its a attic upstairs ! needless to say we got a dog from a breeder her markings are not good enough for showing but she perfect for us i wolud post a pic but i have no idea where to begin

It's basically a collectors-type event. (I'm not really a crazy collector, OMG I gotta have it... but because it was POC, I said what the heck, why not!)

Besides the collector stuff, there's going to be Dessert Voyage on 7 Seas Lagoon, breakfast before park opening at POTC, and midnight showingof POC:AWE opening day at AMC, DTD.

Event: Pirates of the Caribbean: Adventures on the 7 Seas Lagoon
Event Dates: May 22-25, 2007
Event Location: DISNEY'S CONTEMPORARY Resort

Ahoy Me Hearties – On May 22, 2007, prepare yourselves for a three-day adventure unlike any that has been seen this side of the 7 Seas Lagoon.

Set yer' compass towards uncharted territories and brace the helm as ye' journey into the unknown depths of the sea. Be on the look out for the Pirates of the Caribbean and the surprises and thrills that are lurking behind the dark and dreary coves of the Lagoon.

And if it's treasure yer' heart be fancying, then venture to the mucky port of Tortuga, where ye' be sure to find the finest pirate treasures in all the land. But beware this port of riches; swabs like you and their treasures, have been known to disappear…

Jennifer--

That looks like a busy and action-packed trip! pirate:

We went to one of the greyhound rescues. DH was going stir crazy home all the time and waanted a companion. When I saw the size of the dogs I knew it wasn't for us. It would've taken him down on the stairs. So he remembered his dad talking about his dog and they were showing the Bostons all over the tv on commercials so he looked up a breeder and he now has his Rocky. The both of them laze around all day. Altho he thinks he is the mayor of the street and will howl at just abaout anything:rotfl2:

Jennifer, the itinerary looks like a fun time.

How scary!

Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be fixed for you this morning. I'm sure you didn't get much sleep last night!

Congrats Mary!!! Amazing how something like that can change your whole mood huh?

Julie please stop that! You are putting my tag in jeapordy! :scared: :lmao:

But you were inspiring me, Diane!!!!!! Also, feeling fortunate in my new fully tagged quality, I really didn't want Mary to feel left out.

Those quarters would fetch about $750,000 in Manhattan. Plus no crawly creatures and a none of Mickey's cousins.

I think your estimate is low. I had lunch yesterday with a friend of mine who is a broker . . . he went to give an estimate on a one bedroom apartment on Park Avenue (in one of the "really desirable" buildings) . . . yes, it had a big living room and a terrace, but it was a one bedroom. He estimated 17 million, which is insane -- it sold for 26 million! It sold to the head of a financial firm who has a big mansion in Saddle Brook, NJ, but wants a pied-a-terre in the city for entertaining.

$26 million???? Yikes! This is still, like, a place where you sleep and eat and such, right?

Good morning everyone! Just checking in this morning. Dropped the kids off early so DS could read a book he forgot in his desk and have started cleaning up a bit. Laundry running and breakfast is now done! I should be able to join in soon. :)

:scared1: That is totally out of control! :scared1:

Yeah, I know . . . it is really crazy. My friend's a broker and has to pretend that the places are worth what they are going for because that's how he makes a living, but he agrees that it's surreal.
