I was just wondering that because I'd just read another post about 100lbs backpack and batteries and all that.. and I wondered if they'd allow soft sided coolers, with no ice, and drinks like they do at PC!

Then I started wondering- if the area around DL in CA is even a wet or dry county to be able to BUY drinks to bring with us to the port! :confused3

(ps. feel like I need to add that we're not really drinkers, but likewise I'm cheap and don't like the idea of spending a fortune when we DO drink. We brought wine cooler type drinks for me and beer for my DH. We came home with half his beer and more than half of my drinks- all of which are still in my fridge btw. That's since June... still there. Well my drinks are still there, DH drank his beer ofcouse LOL)

I don't think there is ANY county in CA that is dry...but I could be wrong. I was hoping to pick up stuff while we were in CA and haul it aboard - or maybe send it with the regular luggage, packed very carefully in a suitcase by themselves.

I knew I should have kept Angelina home from school today. We just received a call from the school nurse. Angelina injured her hand in gym class, nothing serious, the nurse was putting an ice pack on Angelina's hand and a splint on one of the fingers. I talked to Angelina and she said he doesn't hurt enough to come home, which is a good sign. We'll see how it goes by the time school is over.

I just posted on the main cruise forum to see if anyone has done this before. Figured I'd better ask before we spend too much time thinking about the "what-ifs".

OH NO!

Those calls from the school nurse are the WORST.

I hope Angelina's hand feels better SOON!

The funny thing is, Angelina was just saying last night how she doesn't like volleyball and that's what they were doing in gym class, actually, that's what they will be doing for the next nine weeks. When the nurse put Angelina on the phone, the first thing Angelina said was, "Dad, I really did hurt my hand, and it wasn't on purpose." :rotfl:

Angelina tends to be like me, accident proned!!! :lmao:

:lmao: Funny how things kinda have a way of working themselves out! :thumbsup2

Except it backfired on a few people. This was a Western and we missed both Grand Cayaman and Castaway Cay. By dinner time after Free Drinks, there was a line up at Guest Services. My friends and I sat in the lobby listening and laughing at all the people complain and basically what they were saying was that Disney should control the weather better. :confused3

I always find it amazing, and a bit sad, when people think that if anything goes wrong that is out of the control of Disney, or any company for that matter, they complain because the company didn't do a better job of making sure it didn't.:confused3

In my line of work, I walk across a lot of lawns. A lawn could be the size of a football field, but don't you know, I somehow find that one little whole in the yard and twist my ankle, accident proned I tell ya!!! :rotfl2:

Todd,

Keeping Destin in our prayers today. Hope he feels better soon.

Thank you ,

He is doing much better and he really wanted to go to school today , but he still was running just a tad bit of a fever so I thought it best just to keep him home one more day just so he didnt spread anything amongst the others ...
