For those who are interested in mini DISmeets between now and the cruise, let me say this, we had a few mini meets before our August 2006 cruise. The photo below was taken at our Brunch Meet the day after Thanksgiving 2005. We met at the Red Lion Diner in NJ and had a great time getting to know one another in a casual setting!!!

In August 2005 we had another mini meet at the Trail's End Restaurant in WDW. Another time a few of us got together at Ruby Tuesday for lunch one day, also did some shopping in the local Disney Store that day.

Funny, how all our mini meets, were always associated with eating.

Thanks for posting Andy - it looks like you guys had a lot of fun!

I'm only about 3 1/2 -4 hours away from Philly and I know that there are several more of us here in the NE, Tri-State Region, and NJ/PA area - we should try to get a mini-meet together in a central location at some point!

We are planning to meet prior to the cruise. When and where is still open. I like the Idea of meeting at POC at a given time. We will be staying at DL and be in the park on Saturday. Check out page 1, Lisa has the DIS meet prior to the cruise listed. Anyone who is planning on being at DL or staying at DL (kinda the same thing, I know), please PM me to let me know u are wiling to help, or plan to attend.

OK, next weekend ohannafamily, and I (and a bunch of other people) are having our own mini-DIS Meet!
If any going on the cruise in Dallas/Ft. Worth area, we are having a DIS Meet this Sunday at 2:00 at the Logan's in Lewisville by Vista Ridge Mall.

Well, at 18 months out, I can't say for sure what the exact plans will be but...

My plans are to arrive on Thursday or Friday and spend time at DL.

Already PMd Mark about the DL meet. Will be there and willing to help.

Like I told him, if someone can come up with an idea, I'm all for expanding it and organizing things, but I'm not good with coming up with an idea part.

Would also be interested in group hotel and group transport from DL to Port.

Was able to see our ressies today on the DCL website !!!! How cool is that !!!! Now I can start the rest of the planning. A Big Way to go to All Seasons !!!!

On another note........... As DVC members, we are thinking about spending Friday and Saturday Night at Disneyland before the cruise. Anybody else interested ??? Let me know thru PM and we can coordinate plans.

I am really feeling totally inept here. The only one w/o a signature banner, will someone please help me, I have tried to cut and paste, but to no avail.

On another note, last night we were at the Disney Store at the mall and picked up a POTC DMC snowglobe for $39.99, really cool. Also, some great pirate shirts there for the wenches, I picked up 3 for me and the girls, all in pink with gold lettering and pink roses (and POTC) on the back, very cool. They run a little big, I had to return my Medium for a Small, but I love them!

Anyway, caught up a little, but really have to go start dinner and shower.

OK, getting lots of good feedback from our proposed DIS meeting prior to the Cruise. Looks like Saturday prior at Disneyland is a favorite. Will be setting up a planning committee. Looking for volunteers (have a few already) to help plan and organize. One very good idea is to meet at Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. Would be nice to just take the park over.......... LOL.

We will set up a call in meet me line at a latter point (toll free, of course), so we can talk.
