It sounds like a lot of us are planning DL before the cruise. We're definitely planning on flying out Friday and spending Saturday at DL. It would be loads of fun to have a pre-cruise DIS meet. Maybe we could all ride Pirates together at the park?

pdarrah (Pamela)

We are planning to meet prior to the cruise. When and where is still open. I like the Idea of meeting at POC at a given time. We will be staying at DL and be in the park on Saturday. Check out page 1, Lisa has the DIS meet prior to the cruise listed. Anyone who is planning on being at DL or staying at DL (kinda the same thing, I know), please PM me to let me know u are wiling to help, or plan to attend.

Speaking of eating, I am going to Dominoes to pick up dinner:lmao: Just wanted to make sure I would be caught up. Hello Todd, Andy and Lisa. Talk later, too many shows on TV tonight.:happytv:

Hey... I resemble that remark!! Sort of.

In my family, I am the crazy aunt because I am a thorough planner, I go to WDW often and for taking a 15-night DCL cruise or should I say for taking a 15-night DCL cruise with about 400+ people who have named their cruise, are obsessed with pirates and treasure, and like to dress up in costumes. I am the aunt that will jump in the pool fully clothed or show up for a visit in my PJs if I feel like it. I am the aunt.

I'm the Aunt that will gather the nieces and nephews for a little trip to Deck 9 for a bedtime snack of soda and ice cream. I'll make sure they're cleaned up before returning them to their cabins all sugared up!

Just catching up......
So far no cabin assigment, although by reservation is showing in the DCL web site.

I am also considering a visit is DL prior to the cruise. I'll most likely try to do it on DVC points. I would be interested in a group bus/shuttle to the port.

If I'm reading this right, you all want to dress up as CJS, ES and the like and act out scenes from POC while they are playing on the Dumbotron. WOW! Days from my drunken youth and the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Gotta figure out a way to bring in rice, toast and umbrellas into this.

We have our character outfits picked out !!!! Heres where being married to an Interior Designer & seamstress pays off !!!! :cool1:

Alan(DH) and Adam(DS) love the coasters at Kings Island. They go once a season. This year they are also planning a guys trip up to Cedar Point.

Also being from Chicago area,I plan on doing the same thing.:thumbsup2 in Chiago do you live???

We're in the far West suburbs - a little town called West Chicago that is about 30 miles due west of the city of Chicago. The name causes confusion! We're near St. Charles, Geneva, Wheaton, ...

A mini-meet in the Chicago area would be fun - any idea how many of us are on board here?

Hello Everyone,
Just checking in , my family and I will be cruising with you nuts. I read all the recaps and I must say I am still a bit lost, amused, yes, but still way out of the loop. Checking in with this thread will really help with wait though! :goodvibes
Thanks for the laughs!
Caren

By posting in this thread, you automatically become one of the aforementioned 'nuts'. And I am not sure there is really a 'loop' here to be in or out of. It appears to be made of silly string.

Just be sure to wear undergarments ladies while riding those wooden coasters. :rotfl:

Greetings from another fellow (but former) New Yorker. Sounds like you live in our old neighborhood. We lived on E.93rd between 2nd and 3rd
and for many years my husband had an office on 81st and Park (basically right behind the Met) For the past 8 years we have been living in the Raleigh area of NC, but we miss NYC so much. When our son was at NYU we got up there alot more often. Now we still try to go at least once or twice a year and catch up on all the new shows. NC is very nice and you can't beat the climate, but I still "heart" NY!

When did you move? A long time ago (between 1988 and 1994!) we lived on E. 95th, just a few blocks from you . . . then we moved to E. 79th, and have been on E.88 for the past four years . . .

My pirate name is:
Captain Jack Rackham

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!

There be lot's of us "Rackham" people on this here cruise...we can have our own sub reunion!

Hi! I am going to add your name to the list of people doing research for that port. It looks like you already have lots. Once the site it up & running I will be asking for the info to be sent in so that we can put it on a webpage for everyone to access in one place. :thumbsup2

Aye, Aye!
