Wow , are you missing the point here or what ...there is no in "TROUBLE" it doesnt matter to me if someone wants to wear the same dress as ES again I am talking to the few that want to go all out in get into detail like me ...If people want to Dress up as CJS please do so ...I do it cause I enjoy it , and if others want to enjoy it as well , I would never say "your in Trouble" cause you wore something like me ...I dont have the Staple on CJS at all nor would I ever say , you cant wear that cause I am ..please ... All I am trying to say is there are people like me that actually get into the Characters ...I dont just wear the costume I try to become the Character ...call me wierd but thats just me ...

:lmao: :rotfl2: I'm dying here.

And the boys want to know why...

Why is Goofy (a dog) Mickey's best friend, and Pluto (a dog) Mickey's pet?

You know - I've wondered that myself...

For the new folks trying to get there pirates name

Hum. Captain Ethel Flint: Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

Hello Everyone,
Just checking in , my family and I will be cruising with you nuts. I read all the recaps and I must say I am still a bit lost, amused, yes, but still way out of the loop. Checking in with this thread will really help with wait though! :goodvibes
Thanks for the laughs!
Caren

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!! There is no keeping up. Just jump on in.

One of these days I'd like to take a RV or hotel hop with a Minivan to out of the way places in the USA. Visit the big roller coaster parks and see the national Parks. I don't know how complicated a motor home is - nor do I know whether I would prefer a motor home versus hotels. Resorts along the way are not necessary as I would be exploring the cities and country. Maybe one summer when the girls are a little bigger we'll jet into a region and wander around that way... car and hotel... for the BIG COASTERS at Kings Island - and elsewhere!!!

Hey Crash - The Beast is my all time favorite coaster. Such great brain sweat went into that ride. Where'd you get the picture from the top of the first hill? (and the back is best!)

Putting on my flog-retardant suit! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

MR

I'll send you over Issac's DODGE Suit.

(I think it got named that becasue they were playing Dodge Ball when I picked them up at school on Friday.)

The scene with them fighting in that rolling wheel was annoying me to no end. Flog ahead! ;) pirate:

Huh. I thought that rolling wheel scene was the best in the movie. I was crying I was laughing so hard - classic. But, I'm a Buster Keaton fan. Takes all kinds. :confused3

Like someone else though - I did find the movie a bit too graphic. The boys haven't been allowed to see it.

Lisa brought up the fact someone else was looking at a specific costume and mentioned making a list so we wouldn't duplicate it)? If it doesn't matter and no one is going to be upset- then why make a list? I guess that's where my confusion is.

I suggested a list because we have so many people and there are so many characters, I thought that it would be a good idea to help let others know which ones will be represented & which ones are still not represented. Personally, if I was going to spend that much on some of those costumes or put the time into sewing one, I would prefer to choose one that wasn't already being done...variety for the group too I guess. :confused3

DH doesn't want to bother with renting a vehicle, trying to find our own way to the port, etc. He's veto'd that idea and sometimes I like to let him have his way... :lmao:
The last few trips to WDW and the cruise we went with a limo service. Just not sure if they have such transportation choices at DL since it's not the "norm" for the cruises there/going to port and all that.

Thanks again for the info about the room. We really wouldn't even care if we were cramped up.. if they just ALLOW 5 in the room, we're cool with it. :)

It has been posted that someone is going to look into hiring a bus to pick those of us at DL and take us to the port if anyone is interested...and there was a lot of interest at the time it was discussed.

So with that said I think I be taking a break from the board for awhile ...

pirate:

Oh no!!! Say it ain't so!!!!!
Can't upset the Captain.

Seriously, the costumes will be fun for all and let's face it, even if there are 15 of us wearing the gold ES dress, Unless, we all go to the same store and buy the same fabric and the same lace, etc. AND have the same person sew it all together, they will never be duplicates. I can tell you as I have been a seamstress for many, many years, that I have made the same thing for different people and never have it come out the same way twice.

It is all for FUN!!!! And I for one can't wait to see everyones interpretation of what they consider proper pirating garmets.

It is all in fun. Besides once you start drinking that RUM it won't matter anyway.

So Come back Captain!!!!

Here's your next installment... 6 down, 551 to go...

HOLY COW - you guys talk alot - I left friday night and you were at Page 1082 and now 1220 - no way I will even bother catching up - LOL.

Had a great time at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando. Went to both parks, saw the parade, caught lots of beads (and no I didnt have to show anything) and saw Donna Summer - her voice is still as good as 20 years ago.

Now its back to real life, laundry, food shopping and getting ready to go back to school and work. Thank god I get another mini vacation in 3-1/2 weeks when DH and I go on the Wonder.

Did the Pirate Name Quiz:

Captain Mary Kidd

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

Would anyone like to hear a TOTALLY GROSS Amtrak story??

Yes? Good...

Me & DH (pre-kids) took Amtrak to FLA (I hate to fly). Made the mistake of going coach (no bed) Well I used the facilities in the Bar Car. The bathroom has that silver port-a-potty type setup. Went No. 1 turned around as the flusher was a push-button type thing on the wall behind the toilet. Pushed the button. The silver trap door opened and instead of sucking stuff OUT, it spewed stuff out - ALL OVER ME. I can get much more graphic but I won't. Just remember one important fact. I was in THE BAR CAR, and I had to wash all the stuff off of me and OUT OF MY HAIR in the sink! By the time I finally hit our hotel in Orlando, I had the SHOWER OF MY LIFE!

I hold this as one of the most embarrasing moments of my life :rotfl: :rotfl: But I can laugh about it................now that is!

Oh MR, I should have put some DEPENDS on before reading your story....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

GLad you had a great time!

I have a similar story about Amtrak. We took Amtrak to Florida one year & I will NEVER do it again. The train was filthy & the bathroom was digusting & smelly. The toilet would not flush everything down completely. My DS was potty training & could not hold himself out of the toilet very well. I let go of him to grab some toilet paper and.....well I won't go into detail except to say it was one of the grossest experiences of my life! :sad2:

Plus while we were sleeping some kids were throwing things at us while we slept. We were too cheap to pay the extra $1600 for 2 sleeper cars since they didn't have any that slept 4, but at that point we were begging for a sleeper car, but they were all sold out.

Too Funny Diane!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We are interested in the DISbus!

MR--

Your Amtrak story gives me the serious heebie jeebies. I want to take a shower just after READING it. Can't imagine how I would have felt to LIVE it.

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.
A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need.

To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.

Yup. :)

LOL. I can get there in about 3 hours! When I drive, I like to drive far!;) Thanks for the offer, and I am sure we will have a mini meet at some point with all of these NE DISers.:goodvibes

That's right! She just puts the kids in the car & heads off without telling the rest of her family where she is going. :lmao: We had a great mini meet with GFL & her family at the Baltimore Aquarium in September. :goodvibes

We are interested in the DISbus!

We are too!

I'm planning on having a rental for the couple of days we're in LA but returning it the early the morning of the 17th, that is if I can find a car rental service where I don't have to take the rental all the way back to the airport or someplace else that is inconvenient.

I skimmed your script hours ago, but please make a few parts in there for us dissers not exactly into the playing of a specific character. It sounds like it will be a fun time. It would be more fun for us thanpopcorn::
Paula

That script is from the internet & there aren't any parts that are just for one person to do. Everyone does them when the character listed that is in the movie says the line noted. It is like the Rocky Horror Picrure Show. ;)

Arrr! I'm Captain Bess Flint don't ya know! pirate:

"Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!"

When all ye scallywags is boozing below decks, I'll be a regular Anne Bonney and save the ship! 'Course I won't go pleading my belly if we're caught. I'll hang with the rest of ya! I got plenty of lil pirate brats already don't ya know.

LOL!

Me thinks I may walk the plank for trying to claim the Captain's title.
