If I could just get my 9yr old son to stop taking off his shoes and socks and putting them ALL OVER THE HOUSE, I'd be a happy woman. I have no idea what it's going to take to get him to stop it but we've tried just about everything. Can't take away socks like you can toys. LOL

It's not just the messiness that bothers me- it's the fact when I wash clothes I find socks all OVER the house (under cushions of the couch, stuffed under his dresser/bed/etc., up under the computer desk, you name it) and sometimes I wash missing some of those socks. Also like the other morning he couldn't find any of his tennis shoes! We ended up finding one pair outside in the DOGHOUSE! (he was playing in there and took them off. ?? ugh the dog could have chewed them up if he was so inclined!) and another pair under the computer desk and the other pair one was under his dresser near the wall and one was under some stuff in his closet.

Ridiculous and almost made all the kids late to school!

Joe is the same way - very unorganized. And now that he is in Middle School they expect the kids to be completely organized. It is a real struggle. We keep working with him but it's an uphill battle.

I saw that off the link the other day and honestly, if I lost the weight where I wouldn't look like Shamu in that dress, I might spring for it. What kind of shoes do you wear with such a dress though?

Never thought of the shoes - I guess my black stiletto heels would be out?

My son is just LAZY. He is very organized with his toys, schoolwork, etc. But he's too darn lazy to get up from whereever he wants to take off his shoes and socks and actually go put them where they belong! He does it with other clothing/personal items as well.

Now my oldest is in middle school (diagnosed ADHD/ODD since she was 5) and she has a lot of trouble being as organized as they expect her to be. :(

But four is such an adorable age. :)

No the adorable age is 34 when they have a Masters degree, a good paying job and can afford to take YOU to WDW/DCL!

DS are you listening?
:thumbsup2

Ok, I need to keep SWMBO away from that link. She made her own top for our last cruise but really wanted the full ensemble.

I'm really tempted to get it now, but I think I might wait on it. We go to a renaissance faire every year and they have all this garb too, and also there are people there who do custom work. That might be the route I go.

Hi we are offically wait listed for this cruise i finally convinced DW on how much fun it would be she realy dislikes flying gets panic attacks says she does not know how she will make it on a flight to calif.

Says the guy with the full CJS outfit. My attire for last Pirate Night was a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball cap and batting practice T-shirt. (I was born in Pgh, so I thought it fit).

We tried that with Joe (DS 11) who has graduated to actually having the black garbage bags put out to the curb and into the trash truck or donated to charity...and still he doesn't learn to pick up his room :confused3 .

I feel your pain....

"Growing Older But Not Up" the quest be Captain securing a cabin on your fair ship and joining your crew arggggggggggggggg

My DW did an Older Adult weekend retreat using this as her theme. She and I wore our Disney t-s*****. :rotfl:

i informed him since he did that to millions of people that he should expect everyone who saw the show to be sticking their tounges out at him. I have enlisted the help of friends and family and needless to say DS is not very happy that everyone keeps sticking out their tounges at him. :rotfl: :rotfl:

The joys of parenthood and the tortures we inflict upon our offspring.

OMG! This is too funny :lmao: - wish I'd of thought of something like this - a momma wench after my own heart! Hope you don't mind if I get to borrow this one day! :thumbsup2
