And as I am reading through I see that Asian ES looks to be taken, so I'm back to one of the earlier ES's (which is more up my alley anyway) - so I'll flip a coin with anyone over Gold, Plum or Wedding Dress ES.

Back to my Caroline impression and catching up...

Okay...she's starting a bit early. Stick to your guns...a big green garbage bag to hold the loot until she sees things from your and DWs perspective might work. It did on our DD when she was 5. (We never intended to throw the stuff out. She just had to earn the things back over time.)

Oh yeah, we already do that. There's 2 bags full in our closet and her Barbies are being held hostage in my desk drawer until her birthday.

Nope - no Asian ES for me - I'm thinking plum ES, it's a good color on me, better than the wedding dress. I could do gold but the plum...

We tried that with Joe (DS 11) who has graduated to actually having the black garbage bags put out to the curb and into the trash truck or donated to charity...and still he doesn't learn to pick up his room .

If I could just get my 9yr old son to stop taking off his shoes and socks and putting them ALL OVER THE HOUSE, I'd be a happy woman. I have no idea what it's going to take to get him to stop it but we've tried just about everything. Can't take away socks like you can toys. LOL

It's not just the messiness that bothers me- it's the fact when I wash clothes I find socks all OVER the house (under cushions of the couch, stuffed under his dresser/bed/etc., up under the computer desk, you name it) and sometimes I wash missing some of those socks. Also like the other morning he couldn't find any of his tennis shoes! We ended up finding one pair outside in the DOGHOUSE! (he was playing in there and took them off. ?? ugh the dog could have chewed them up if he was so inclined!) and another pair under the computer desk and the other pair one was under his dresser near the wall and one was under some stuff in his closet.

Ridiculous and almost made all the kids late to school!

I saw that off the link the other day and honestly, if I lost the weight where I wouldn't look like Shamu in that dress, I might spring for it. What kind of shoes do you wear with such a dress though?

Yep some of us are wasted away in margaritaville..

My favorite Buffet song is "One Particular Harbor". At the end he's sitting on the shore and "finally fades away." I dream of doing this on Castaway Cay someday.
