We're holding you to finding that new dr!

Feel better.
Aw, thanks dahling. It's not that bad right now, but it was getting MEAN earlier today. I'm getting quick on the Tylenol go tabs (tried those? They are chewables and taste like mints LOL) so I think I usually catch it before it gets to migraine status. Maybe 140 first graders will give you a migraine no matter what (field trip today)- I don't know. :lmao: All I know is it started earlier today and I hadn't even been on the computer since the night before! ugh

Goofyforlife you got the mini!

And... my kids are weird on their teeth. I don't even know what is normal because of my kids. LOL my oldest got like 5 teeth shortly after her first birthday (all at once. Oh yes it was a fun time in the life of myself and Ruby, let me tell you... NOT!) and like I said, just lost her first molar and she's 13yrs old. My son (middle child) got his first 2 teeth when he was 4mo old and had a bunch by the time he was 8mo old. But he's 9 and has only lost I think 8 baby teeth (ofcourse front top and bottom)- no molars yet.

My youngest didn't get any teeth until she was 14mo old! Yes, you heard right. Not one stinkin' tooth until she was 14mo old. What is that about? It's freaky I tell ya. far from the norm anyway. She's going to be 7 in June and hasn't "naturally" lost a tooth yet. She had one of her top teeth pulled over a year ago (her top front tooth- we have had issues with it since she was a baby, she has her father's soft-enamel or whatever it is he has and his father had... heriditary apparently). Anyway, that one the baby root canal wasn't done properly previously by another ped dentist so this one pulled it- and her permanent tooth doesn't appear to be coming out to replace it ANY time soon. She had a wiggly tooth on the bottom last week but she refuses to wiggle it and don't even THINK about helping her... so it's not even wiggly anymore. LOL She'll probably be 18 and still have baby molars. Who knows.

Evening all, just skimmed the post and the updates. Have to catch up on Gilmore Girls.

My sister and her family are good - they were on the Magic last year. I told her about the repo and she didnt seem interested - shes wierd!!!! Bob and the kids are great - we LOVE LOVE LOVE living in Florida - I cant even get Bob to go back to NJ to visit - he says let everyone come here.

I Email or PM with Darlene from time to time. We linked with them on the 2005 PC cruise and had a blast. Stan looks good and I know they are doing this cruise as well as the repo home from the med.

Oh Ginny, I'm so glad to hear your family's well and LOVING Fl. (how could you not) I'll come visit if Bob will have us :lmao: I'm glad Stan is well too. I didn't know they were on this cruise too. That'd be great. I have to email her. They were also on the Cruisin' Castaways cruise (which we missed you on BTW)

You guys, I think I'm going to have to go to the dr soon. I have been having consistent headaches (usually progressing to migraines) almost every night for quite some time now. I kept thinking it was just stress- but it's every night? I don't have stressful schedules EVERY NIGHT- yanno? Then I thought it was on the computer but it's happening even if I'm off the computer for almost a day and starting up before I get on the computer. It's kinda scaring me. :( I'm popping tylenol every night and usually it does nothing. I had some migraine stuff awhile back that worked well but I'm out of it and keep trying to make do with tylenol.

:confused3

(so anyway, if I come across as cross with anyone or snippy or whatever... I'm blaming it on the migraine. 'k? seriously...)

Definitely go see the doctor! If taking tylenol every night is not doing it for you, then you need something else. And don't let them tell you that you just don't handle stress well, or it's not that bad. People who don't get migranes don't understand the pain. If you have had success with a previous medication, then try that again. But if you have them regularly, you may want to talk to the doctor about something to prevent the migranes. You don't want to spend your time worrying about when your next headache is going to occur (worry about how you are going to get the 000 post, or pay the bar bill).

ahhh an incidental pirate:

ok i have to go to get to bed...

Lots to do tomorrow.....

Shelley, I can't find this original post but I for one cannot take Tylenol for a headache, never mind a Migraine - heavens no. Can you take Advil or Aleve till you get to the DR. Years ago, I suffered horrible migraines (aura and all). The neurologist put me on Barbituates the headaches and accompanying symptoms, visual distubances, vomiting etc. were so bad. I was living in a drug stupor and it was truly awful. A case of the cure was worse than the disease type of thing. I know they have many, many better options now and I'm sure one of them will help you. I actually did find a cure for my Migraines, I take 250 mg a day of Magnesium, much better than all those heavy duty prescripition I was taking. If my migraines come back I will definitely get something like Imitrex or the like. Good luck and feel better.

Thanks
The problem is I can't remember what it was I was taking! I just took something that had "migraine" in the name of it because I had it in our medicine cabinet and now I can't even remember what it was. I suppose I could try another migraine medication but who knows if it will work and like I said, I'm getting a bit worried. An occasional headache- no biggie... I read a lot (books, computer, etc.) and used to get eye headaches occasionally- but they weren't OFTEN like they are now and they weren't progressing into migraines. They were the type of headache that were totally related to my eye use and I could close my eyes, rest by not reading or off the computer and I'd be fine. Not so with the migraine. The migraines are even making my insomnia worse (yes, I'm a nightowl by nature but even when I'm tired I can't sleep because my head is throbbing)

Lisa - I hope you are not working TOO HARD!!!! Thanks for all you're doing! You're the BEST!

good evening all,

i probably missed but i cant remember if there was someone that was going to be making t-shirts for the cruise or other things. again i apologize if i had missed it, very hard to keep up with you guys. but i am doing my best....

DH used to play D&D, but is now into Axis & Allies, which is a board game that could esiely take an entire sea day to play :faint:

Yeah, DH has Axis & Allies among his stack of board games he's been playing forever. His latest thing is buying board games he used to have off of eBay. Feudal, 1776, Wizards Quest, etc.

Thank you all, you're so sweet and I appreciate the advice. Be sure I have read them all, even if I don't respond individually. I don't want to take over the thread with tons of posts about my migraines!

I will say this though, I've had difficulty lately getting back on my diet (and more importantly cutting out the one 20oz soda a day- and that's ALL I WAS DRINKING! Yes, can you say dehydrated??) because I keep thinking my headache is going to get worse on caffeine withdrawals. but I just have to do it. Starting now because I have no more sodas and I'm not buying anymore. :rotfl: So I'm looking foward (NOT!) to my headaches being even worse for a bit. :( I need to start drinking water though.. and more liquids period.

You can get headaches from caffeine withdrawal. Also, do they tend to occur in a cluster at certain times of the month? How about food triggers? It might help to keep a diary for a few weeks. But still call the doctor in the meantime! We need you pain free to keep up with all the postings!

Welcome Paula and family

It must be beautiful down in NZ this time of year.

We're planning a 7 aside rugby game on the beach at Castaway Cay during our trip. We need 10 more players. Can we enlist anyone from your family? I know rugby is big down there.

Trying to keep up with Super 14. I usually follow the Crusaders. Are you a Waikato bell ringer?

You'll have to count us out, we are rugby avoiders. For the record if we did support a team, it would be the Crusaders too - are there other teams?! :)

GO CANTERBURY!

Oh and it is beautiful here, we've had a rotten summer but it looks like its going to finish up beautifully!
