My DW and DD prefer my cooking in this house, I've been cooking since I was about 12. With my DW being so short (4'7") her mother wouldn't let her near the stove growing up for fear she would get hurt. My DW really never started cooking until after we got married. My DW is known as "The Package Food Queen" in our house!!! Hey, at least it's food, that's also why I don't complain about any food I get on the ship!!!

I actually do most of the cooking too, although my wife is a darned fine sous chef, since I tend to butcher the vegetables instead of slicing them. But with her out of town, it just doesn't make sense to cook for a 4-year-old who will hate anything that isn't peanut butter and jelly and two others who will eat anything. Plus DS13 has to get to swimming practice in an hour.

Hi everyone,

Went to DL and DCA yesterday, I mean I did some research for those of you who will be visiting DLR before the cruise. It was much more crowded than last year on SB Sunday.

We went to TTwCrush. DD's "favorite boyfriend", who's 6, was chosen to talk to Crush. He asked Crush "How do you eat?" Crush moved his mouth. Then Crush asked him "What is your favorite thing to eat?" He answered "Fish." Crush turned around and started yelling "Swim away." The boy's mom and I were laughing so hard we were crying.

Anyway, just putting this out there again - if anyone has questions about DLR, I'm happy to share my knowledge.

Wife does most of the laundry, I usually fold. Wife puts clothes away.

I like the idea of black - as mentioned, it is "piratey" and it is also slimmimg, don't cha know!!! which is one of the reasons I usually choose it...I rarely wear white t****s, but that is just me - and I would for the cruise if everyone else is.....I will say black is preferred for DD - I swear I will not buy her another white or light pink shirt, etc....but then I do..and I go through a bottle of stain remover - maybe I can hope that by 10 she will be beter.

I will probably get slammed - but not crazy about lime green - bracelets, small things - fine...but a shirt, not so much......but if everyone is wearing one for the cruise, I would.

DH doesn't cook. He claims he can burn boiled water. He does to the dishes, though. Everyday. He can't stand to let them sit in the sink for a day. He also does his own laundry. He's afraid I'll mess it up.

I hear ya (especially on the white, light pink, etc.) but the thing is- we're talking 5 people in my family and only ONE (dh) will ever wear that black shirt again. For one day that everyone is wearing it? (we're in Texas- you don't wear black here... atleast not the majority of the year. It's hot! I tell ya)

Were not leaving from Texas , were leaving from CA and black will be fine in CA ,,,,
