:welcome: You probably have checked, but there's some good info on page 1 of this thread.

Thanks. I've been trying to follow the thread, but that will be impossible. I noticed the links to the summaries (which are good), but those only give highlights, so I usually end up reading the 500 posts if something catches my eye.

We're in. Put the deposit down last night.

We chose the Cat 9 room over the Cat 7 and decided to save the $1,900. Figure it would put a good dent in the onboard charges.

This will be our 5th cruise (6th if we keep the one for this October).

It will be myself, DW, and DS(8).

Jeff

:welcome: Welcome :welcome:

:wave:Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Jeff:wave:

I don't know what it is about being higher either, but since I've always been on the bottom decks on all my previous cruises, I'm excited to be on deck 5 for this one. Just knowing that the higher decks are more expensive has got my mind thinking that we're in a "better" cabin. Still an inside broom closet, but hey, we're on a higher deck gosh darnit. :rotfl:

See, that is funny to me because we have only stayed on 7 & 8 and got deals...but that was in December. The best value was actually our deck 8 room. We booked 7504 for 31xx over a year out and were happy about "upgrading" ourselves to an 8 to be next to our friends. On Thanksgiving night after dinner I checked the site to see if we had been switched to early seating but saw that we had been moved. Doggoneit! Why did DCL move us? What is on deck 8? I wanted to be deck 7 forward! Meanwhile DH grabbed the passporter & looked up the deck plans. He told me to stop getting upset because we were now in 8004. :lmao: Cat 4s were currently going for 6300 on the website so I was estatic!!! Realize that will never happen again but we enjoyed it.

We're booked on this cruise, too. We just got back from the Disney Magic yesterday (got the onboard booking discount, Whoo Hoo!)

How on earth am I going to be able to catch up with over 10,000 posts already and the cruise is still 18 months away!!!

:welcome: Welcome :welcome:

Forget about catching up, it's hard enough to KEEP UP with this group :rotfl: :rotfl:

That sounds awesome. My kids already know abiut this one. I am pretty bad at keeping my own secrets in. Well, excrpt for with DH. Your deiscription sounds like him when we went on the 12/9 Double Dip and he saw all the green shirts and they started talking with us!!:scared1: :lmao: :rotfl2:

ROFL! Yes....then when the kids you didn't know started coming up to DDs & giving them hugs and calling them by name. :lmao:

Welcome to the PARTY Jeff!

We're a party of 4 in a cat 9 as well. We, you have a triple... so not quite the same exactly. At any rate... we have 9 cabins total in our group and a dozen plus kids ... so if you see out pack of pirates running through the corridors screaming TAKE NO PRISONORS! That that'll be us! Pack your swords and blunterbuses... you're gonna need 'em on this voyage!

Oh.. and I don't really know whats' up with the red dog above - but he came up under googled "welcome" animations... so I am assumeing he is welcoming you in a non-offensive manner. If I have erred then forgive me for being inapporpriate... I am but a simple pirate lacky after all....

I gotta go now... prep breakfast and head out to Disneyland to meet friends - then off to Superbowl while we work on a new computer we're gonna put into service. All of a sudden my spouse decides... "Tom, we need to get another computer... so she runs out and gets one ... then tells me ... now go see your geek-pal Dave and get it set up will you???"

I really wanna see dolphins!! We won't on this cruise, because we're in a broom closet too :lmao:
But we had a porthole room on deck 2 last cruise, and I STILL didn't see dolphins!! Oh well!

Forgot to say that the best thing we saw that cruise from our verandah was a rainbow when DD & I were out there doing our nails for formal night. :)

so i talk alot....so make me walk the plank.. if you dare! ha!

magic..is my game..and i can do it wisely...so figure it out
and you might find a treasure map. :wizard:

ok, wrenches? How to be banned from disneyland?...i can't believe a
mother and daughter dressed their breasts up as mickey & minie
and removed their tops..right down main street. them are waht
i really call real scourndrels!

i hope there weren't any childen around!.....while adult themes can
be playful and fun..some places should be off limits. disney and its
properties. it makes me think how important the characters are.....
the bottom line for me, they are precious to my kids and therefore
desrving of respect and protection.....underneath, there are real
people bringing/giving them life. i can't understand adults stealing
these special lil' childhood memories..yuck, and shame on any adult
seeking this inappropirate attentions. c'mom leave he kids alone!
[ i see this type of behaviors from running our community soap
box derby..]

ITA with you! :( Let them be little for pete's sake! :wizard:

Thank you for your words of wisdom. I am not a dog person but I teared up reading about your dog PJ.

I read on another thread in the main forum this cruise is still complelty full and sold out even with the few mulitiple bookings deposits not being paid so, they are not releasing and more rooms, so it is more popular than 2005 they had availability again for a limited time a few days after release.

I called this morning & couldn't believe it!

I talked to a CM on Friday and she acted like people didn't have multiple bookings out there and we were not the norm. (just a note, we only ended up with two ressies because IC did give us a room based on us filling out a request on the 1/13 Western. Further, we didn't even know we had the second ressie until I called them on 2/2 after seeing posts that other people form our cruise got rooms. So, since it was the 3rd day that the repo was on sale, when do you think they would have called me? :confused3 )

She also acted like everyone paid their deposits when they booked and no one was waiting until 2/3 (the deadline) to make the deposit.

Yes, but how the heck does 'THAT' CM even know if that is a true statement or not. They are on the phones in their cubicles taking ressies. I doubt they have the time, or access to the info they would need, to analyze the data and come to these conclusions.

Thursday morn at 8AM the super I spoked to said they had already started gathering the info from Wednesday and could see people made 3 & 4 ressies under different TA's. He said, "Don't worry, there will tons of cancellations".

Oh, and one more thing I found interesting. When I called yesterday, the CM said the system showed my deposit (which I had already paid in full before Wednesday) is due on Feb 6th????????? She say's....all the ressies made on Wednesday have a deposit due date of Feb 6th :confused3 :confused3 . Again...:headache: :headache: :headache:

:wave:Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Jeff:wave:

Thanks for the welcome Andy. I will now be able to say "I'm sailing with the infamous Verandah Man". Along with all the other DISers I that I've been reading for the past 3 years, but never cruised with.

Thanks to everyone else for the welcomes.

Very nice pitcures, Andrew......

Thank you for sharing them

Morning all and greetings from SSR. While it's been cool and rainy, it beats being in NJ.

OK on to the dumb question of the morning. How do I insert one of the Pirate icons into by signature. I know cut/paste does not work. I cannot remember how to do this. Thanks!

Go to the first post & select your banner. Remember the sig guidelines of max 3 images totalling 50000 bytes. Right click on the banner you want & go to properties. Highlight the http code in that window & CONTROL + C. Go to User CP and edit signature. Click where you want to insert the banner & CONTROL + V. That will copy & paste it to your sig. :thumbsup2

Oh good grief.

I've tried my derndest to get caught up but to no avail. Ever since DH shocked me by actually booking this cruise - I never thought he'd take that much time off work for a vacation but certainly dreamed - I've been trying to read through this thread to see who's who and what's what. But every time I make a small dent I have to go take care of life. And by the time I come back to the computer I'm drowning in pages again. (I've never gotten any closer than "30 pages to go".) I guess I'll have to resort to the Cliff's Notes.

So I'll just jump in now and introduce myself.

 Hi, I'm Robin. You've already "met" DH, ohanafamily. We have a 2 yo son, Ian, and Squirt
squirt3.gif
on the way. By the time this cruise rolls around Ian will be 3 1/2 and Squirt will be 15 mo. This will be our 5th DCL cruise, the last one - DVC Member Cruise - back in October.

I've been trying to send in our family info for the website but keep getting SA message. Guess I need to have DH look at it again, tell me what I have set up incorrectly still. :confused3

I can't tell you how excited I am about this cruise. Actually I think I'm still kind of in shock. My dream has been to to back-to-back 7-days but this is even better! I look forward to getting to know everyone here over the next 18 months and then meeting y'all onboard!
