Hi There Pete

I'm glad we were able to get the Andrew, Andy situation taken care of yesterday. :woohoo:

Since I see you sign your name as Pete, I'm taking you prefer that over Peter? Like I told you yesterday, my youngest brother is named Peter, but we have to call him Pete, because his son's name is also Peter, and we have to call him Peter, so we don't get Pete mixed up with Peter. You should see it at family gatherings, as we have a lot of Peter's in our family. I have a grandfather, uncle and cousin are also named Peter or Pete, I can't keep track of what we call who anymore. :rotfl2:

Just thoguht I'd add some humor to the thread this morning!!! :lmao:

My morning newspaper just arrived, time to see what else is going on in the world, be back later.

Andy,

I was looking through the pictures in your cruise blog. We went on the cruise the week after you. Our embarcation was August 26, 2006. We had a handicaped cat 3 in the back of the ship, the one with the big verandah. Our stateroom hostess was Anastasia from Lithuania. Could we have had occupied the same room? Freaky! Is that why they call you verandah guy? Could we be blood brothers through this verandah?

Pete

Morning everyone!
It's a bit chilly here this am. Off to work soon. Can't imagine how many posts I'll have to catch up on.
Hope everyone has a great day:goodvibes

Actually, I usually take my oldest underwear and socks on vacation and then throw them away, leaving room for souvenirs on the way back.

Some day, though, knowing Disney, they are going to find my underwear and socks in the trash and mail it back to me, thinking I forgot to pack it.

We do the same thing :thumbsup2
All year long I set aside the boys socks with small holes,

Undies & socks always go in the trash on vacation. Although I can't imagine I'll have 15 pairs for each boy by then.

We also take old camp shirts & toss those too:

I'm not sure about the rest of you but I am going to have to focus on the cruise I have planned for September 07 in order to make the wait of 08 bearable. As I have much to do between now and then I will mostly need to use the summaries to stay current but I will check in on a regular basis. This really seems like a great crew. Both Janet and I are really looking forward to getting to know each of you over the next 18 months. Gotta get busy. Lois

Pete,

Actually we were on deck 7, see photo below of our stateroom door. But we did visit Chuck from AST in his Starboard Cat. 3 aft cabin after we had a group photo taken. Chuck took care of the photo sitting charge, then had an open house in his cabin for everyone. I did take a photo or two from his cabin, I included one of those photos below as well.

Morning Fellow Mateys!pirate: :surfweb:

It took me from 4AM to 6AM to catch up on the posts!. I had to take a nap after reading so I could be rested for the rest of the day. ARRH ARRH!!

This sure is one busy board!:goodvibes

Cold and sunny down here in Williamsburg,VA. I don't envy you fellow mateys up in NJ and NY(Hi Andy, Hi Reenieny18:hug: my wonderful sister!).

Andy - I love the Pirate Bear you got for Hazel and Angelina, it is soooo cute! You are always one step ahead!!

To everyone waiting for the SuperBowl, I hope your team wins!!!:cheer2:

Have a Magical Day and talk to you soon!!:grouphug:

Good morning all!

LOVE the advice about underwear! I was wondering how I was going to keep all their stuff straight; I'm sure my guys would NOT want their names in the tags.

Can I bring on bottles of liquor to make my own adult beverages? I was thinking coconut rum, it goes with cola or pineapple juice. Could also mix it with the soft serve vanilla ice cream - yum! Makes waiting your turn for the shower or dryer so much more enjoyable!

I finally opened a photobucket account so I could post the pirate banner. Figured I'd add the lads, too. Am I within the guidelines?

Oh. It would have been cool. So we took over Chucks room. It was a fine room. The verandah was the best. We tried to get one for 8/17/08 but there were none left. We have a GTY 4.:)

The pixel size is within limits, but you have too many bytes. The byte size between the two come to 74,007, the limit is 50,000 bytes.

The banner is 21,141 bytes and your other photo is 53,866 bytes.

If I knew someone named Peter who had a son named Peter, I wouldn't be able to resist calling the boy "Re-Peat". But that's probably just me.

Good night all, have to do another graveyard shift tonight. Will pop by this afternoon.:)

Hey, I enjoyed the room while we were in there, Chuck was a very nice host, and gave us a tour of the suite, it was a very nice cabin!!! ;)

You know, I tried that, but it didn't go over very well with my SIL, that's why we went with Pete and Peter, my SIL also didn't want her son being called Junior. :rotfl2:

Good Morning folks...

I just scanned this page and now I'm gonna start working my way backwards....

I don't quite know what to do with this thread... it is unlike ANY other one I've been on. I thought joining the 11 niter was a trip... in a little over 30 or 90 days I posted precisely 1000 contributions on embarkation day. That was semi-deliberate. And that was a record for me. HERE... I have 510 postings in about half a month? That is psychotic .... by my standards.

I have to confess it has been fun on the one hand - but I usually go back and liesurely read behind and forward of my posts and can stay abreast (not via summaries). So ... this is virtually a surreal experience.

I will NOT keep up what looks like a 1000 a month pace for long. I do sort of have other things that will overtake this eventually... like gardening, taking out the trash, personal hygene (those bricks in the toilet are gonna be a problem pretty soon if I don't fish 'em out before they clog up all the plumbing!).... etc.. I have beeen able to shave every now and then though. I am not a total animal.

So off I go to wax over the most recent posts... I have no delusions over catching up. No point pretending anymore... I'll not catch up ... I'll just look around a bit. In about 30 minutes I have to prepare a sort of breakfast for the kids. It is very early by our standards... as we are gonna meet our friends for a morning at Disneyland. Then I'll leave at 1 PM to head over to friends' place half way home where I'll hang out for superbowl and go over a new computer we bought yesterday. I wanna install a new wifi antenna ... and probably load on some software. Then - at about 7PM head home - regardless of where the game is at....

So... off I go into the wild blue yonder of postings here....

GOod thing I got this here space suit on....

I was a couple days late in getting my taxes done as well, something important came up........................like booking this cruise.....................so I put the taxes on hold a few extra days. :lmao:

OK, Andy... whats' a matter wit ya? You've gotta get yer priorities straight here....

Good Morning everyone! Catching up was actually do-able this morning - only about 150 posts :woohoo:

DH & DS are off grocery shopping (a weekly father/son bonding event :rotfl2: ) so I was able to catch up. I suspect I'll be WAY behing later since its going to be a busy day.

I am going to have to run over to Lens Crafters - I got a "trial" pair of soft contact lenses on Friday (I've been wearing hard lenses since I was 9 - so for 33 years) and the left eye is great, but the right eye is really uncomfortable and blurry. I tried switching them around in case I accidently reversed them and then the left eye was uncomfortable and blurry. So ... I strongly suspect there is something wrong with the lens and have to go in and see if I can exchange it.

Then we have to run over to my parents home (only about 3 miles away) to help my DF try and fix his grow lights. It is almost time to start seeds here and his lights are periodically shutting on/off which wouldn't be too good for getting the plants to grow. It is really hard to think about gardening and seeds when it is -1 F outside and going up to a big whopping high of +1 F today!:cold:

Of course, after that it will be time to head for the Superbowl party!

Go Chicago Bears!
I'll check in after all that, but I'll probably be so far behind I'll have to read the summaries!
