Hi Everyone!:wave2:

I want to introduce myself to this board. I will be traveling on this "MAGICAL" cruisepixiedust: with all of you. I am one of the original "Cruisin' Castaways". I will be traveling with my
sister Reenieny(she has written on this thread) along with her DH and DS.

This will be my 3rd Disney cruise on the Magic and I am looking forward to be cruisin' the west coast of Mexico and going thru the Panama Canal. I am also planning to visit Disneyland for the 1st time. I am a "Charter Annual Passholder at WDW. I go down there at least three times a year.

I am glad to see some familiar names going along for the ride "Veranda Man" (Hi Andy!!) and O'BWV ( Hi Mary Rose!).:grouphug:

My prayers go out to all the people in FL who have gone thru the tornado. I am watching CNN and the devastation is just terrible.

I look forward to meeting all of you and keeping up with the messages on this board.

Have a Great Day!!!

Hi There Karen!!! Welcome Aboard!!! It will be fun cruising with you again!!! :)

us too!! - we had her in cloth - but used Tushies for the cruise - (OT - a week before the cruise we had a wind storm that knocked power out for 5 days, so we broke into the disposables and had to get to the natural food store for more - which was always iffy...anyway..that was a rough week...we NEEDED the cruise by then!):)

We were using Fuzzi Bunz and are switching to the gDiaper. But come our pirate voyage he'll be 3 and :woohoo: potty trained!

Hi guys. I've been reading your thread (or should I say trying to keep up) for a while now.

I have a dilema and am looking for suggestions.

Let me start by asking not to get flamed for this since I was unaware that this went through.

We sailed on the 1-13-07 Western and filled out the form for the EB Repo. When I didn't hear anything from IC, I figured I better call on 1-31 to get a ressie for this cruise.

I was one of the lucky ones. I got through shortly after 8:00 and got a hold time of 3 minutes :rotfl: . Well after 25 minutes I got a CM, she couldn't pull up the info right away, but within 10 minutes she had me in a Cat 9 for $5,199 with OB Disc for 2A and 1C (8).

After reading this thread, I see that some other people from our cruise got their onboard requests filled, so I called this morning. They actually do have a room for me.

A Cat 7 for $7,089.

I'm trying to decide if it is worth the extra $1,900 for the balcony. We originally said we wouldn't pay more than $6,000 for this cruise (I was thinking more in the line of $6,500, but don't want to upset DW).

$1,900 on the other hand will go a long way for room charges.

Just wondering if the Cat 7 price is a good one and which room you'd take.

Thanks in advance and please, no flames. As I said, I lost faith in IC.

I just spoke with a CM at DCL re: the room assignments and the first response was when we get our paperwork. So I decided to use the get more flies with honey attitude and commisserated with her over what happened on Wed and did I really have to wait 18 months to find out where I would be? Apparently after the dust settles this weekend (because they KNOW that there are people out there with 4, 5 6 and 10 bookings in their name) that many of these ressies are going to be cancelled and room assignments will begin happening then. She was actually very nice and from what she said, she knows this whole process wasn't fair.

Anyway, I'm going to try and call on Sunday and see if I can't get a room assignment anywhere on the port side.

As I posted a few pages back, I was given a cat 6 GTY on Wednesday but had already been assigned a room when my TA made the deposit yesterday. So obviously they are not going to wait until they are sending out docs to make room assignments . . . the CMs just don't know the answer, so the information being given out is all over the place.

Just got off the phone with my mom again, she said a tree went through my aunt and uncle's house.

A man in the area stopped my uncle and asked if he had seen his daughter and son-in-law, the couple's mobile was thrown into one of the local lakes. Sad, very, very sad. :sad1:

I just heard about this coming into work! Glad your mom is doing okay

My mom hasn't called yet--I have 5 aunts who live in the area. Usually if there's any news about a calamity anywhere in the state, my mom is on the phones tracking people down!

:grouphug:

Ok just started reading since last night, and time for a scoreboard update...

Barmaids 4 pirate: Jack 4 pirate: swabbies 0 pirate:

Looks like the wenches started strong but maybe their not drinking enough of Jacks rum ... :lmao: :lmao:

We're in Brentwood, just south of Nashville. Been here all of 7+ months ... lovin' the snow!! :thumbsup2

Colts? :lmao: I don't "do" football ... we TiVo the Superbowl and then later we fastforward through the game, and watch the commercials!! :rotfl2:

the TIVO thing is a GREAT idea!!!! - I would love to do that, no chance of talking Dh into that though!!! I ususally spend most of the time with a book - and stop reading to watch commercials!

Jonesing---praying that all your relatives are safe. Let me know if I can help. Arlene glad you are OK. Anybody heard from Liz, Barb, .....Thistle lives near the area where they are heading. Anybody know if her family and beautiful doggies are safe?

My parents actually live in Lady Lake and by looking at a map are within 1 mile of the damge. Luckily they are on a cruise right now and not home. of course all the circuits are busy so I haven't been able to call the front office to check on the condition of their trailer...

Hmm so you may be getting houseguests then.....

That's a tough one. We said that we really wanted to have a verandah for this cruise, so we booked it even though it was more than we wanted to spend. 15 nights is a long time, and we wanted to be happy with our choice. You have to look at it and decide what is more important to you.

Yea, that's what I said as well..........................:rotfl2:

But, It Is The Trip of a Lifetime!!! and I'm still kicking myself in the butt for cancelling our August 2005 repo cruise.

Let's all keep telling ourselves that "This is a trip of a Lifetime" and maybe then we'll all begin to believe it's worth spending all of this money! :lmao:

Come to think of it, my mom said she is paying for her part of the cruise, so that does bring me below the $6,000 mark, now I'm feeling better!!!

That's what we did too. We did a verandah room and an inside cat 11 room. Having a balcony was important to us, or I mean me. :)
