I gotta go pay some bills. I'll BBL also!
Now that the race for the 12,000 is over, I'd like to share a PM I received earlier today. It came from a mother requesting a DCL postcard. I normally don't post these, but this touched me and I wanted to share it.
Hi!
We aren't traveling on our cruise until June 3. But my daughter needs a pick me up from Mickey Mouse. I just had back surgery and she hasn't seen me in almost 2 weeks. A postcard from Mickey will cheer her up. She asks me everyday on the phone "r we going on da Mickey boat tomawo?" She is 4. I would be forever grateful. It would cheer me up to. Thank you so much.

Needless to say, sent this little girl a postcard this afternoon, and the mom is getting one as well!!!
Awww that is so sweet Andy! It must bring a tear to her eye everytime she talks to her on the phone. You are so nice to do this!

That's how we got in, we weren't even on the waiting list. I just called to try and switch our Med ressies to this cruise, nothing was available and my TA said I would probably have to wait till Monday, and 2 hours later called back and was able to make the switch.

So, this is interesting........DCL overbooks, let's just say they overbook by alot. TA's have the bookings with ressie number (just need to fill in names). TA's have had from Wed to Sat (possibly as late as the 6th, the jury is still out on when final Dposits were due) to fill room numbers/GTY's with clients on their waitlist. Let's just say, they were able to fill the ressies with their clients....where does that leave DCL in term of overbooking?????
Want company? I think I'm going to really need to do that too. Especially if it's 16 days of non-stop eating & drinking Bahama Mamas.![]()
DH used to play D&D, but is now into Axis & Allies, which is a board game that could esiely take an entire sea day to play![]()

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm trying to catch up!![]()
You've read Harry Potter right? Well, fan boards refer to Voldemort as HWMNBN (He Who Must Not Be Named). Well SWMBO is my dear wife (She Who Must Be Obeyed).
Stupid question - what's the Zip Line?
TIA
Mary Rose
And just for the sake of argument - let's say that this cruise remains overbooked right on down to the wire. Who's going to get bumped? A ressie with the same names on it from 1/31, or one that has totally different names but the ressie number is lower?
My DH and his buddies like to play "Hero" (FRED).![]()
It's an excursion where you get tied into a harness and "zip" through the trees on cables. Like 90 feet in the air!
Here is the first picture that I posted a few pages back because by the time that I got to it, this one wasn't showing. OY! You were probably wondering what shoes I was talking about. LOL!
