About how long does it take to get to port?

On Sunday morning it should take no longer than 40 mins driving time. But picking everyone up and a rum run may add some time to the trip. In 2005 I think that we arrived between 10:30-11am which was the earliest that they let you in.

We'll have to get started about 7am then, huh?

Okay , so Disneyland Hotel hasnt been mentioned yet ??? I know there is alot of us staying there ...

Okay on another side note , I need some advice from you west coasters ...were thinking about getting a premium passport due to the fact we will be there alot ...Is it worth it ??? I know we get 20 dollars off for being DVC members which I think brings the price to 359.00 pp we plan on being it DLR 3 days in March then another 3 Days in August and would give us the option to go at any other time ...Plus we could use them in March of 09 for our Birthday weekend , but would have to move it up a weekend so they werent expired ....So , worth it , yes or no ?? or is this just way too much Disney (keep in mind we also have our WDW trips already planned as well ) .... Help me Obi Wan Kanobi ...LOL

Todd I would go ahead and get the Premium Pass. As Monica and Sara mentioned that you would break even after 6 days of use just on admission price. The big advantage for locals is that it includes parking and at $11/visit that adds up fast. The Premium pass also receives a 15% discount at all resort restaurants and shopping compared to the 10% for the other passes. We have SoCal passes and save $10-20/visit just on that discount. Also they have hotel specials for AP (the one going on right now is great) for off season.

Easy for me , Im a Pirate im just going to drink everyone elses :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

But Captain you have to share with your crew or we might all committ mutiny!!!!:rolleyes1 :lmao: :lmao:

Another trick I just learned about for AP is that you can use it on a black-out day when you first use it. Therefore we are letting our passes expire in February and purchasing new ones for the March meet. We then get entrance on 3/15 even though it is a black-out day for our SoCal passes. Even though we would break even on the Premium Passes, I still can not justify upgrading to them. We usually stay away from the parks during black-out times because of the crowds. We are happy to visit on Sundays throughout the year with occasional Mondays that the kids are out of school.

By the way I just checked and Chat is still broken. Word on the Tech board is that they are still working on it. :confused3 :sad2:

Looks like its the website tonight.

Hi David -- happy new year! Have you had any milk chocolate McVitties lately?:woohoo:

Hi Julie

Happy New Year !!

I can't remember when I had any biscuits last sorry - we don't buy them frequently - apart from the Kit Kat I had earlier ;)

M have a great time at WDW and have a Dole Whip for me. This was the scene at DL last weekend.

Apparently no Dole Whips when it rains. :sad2:

Here is the list of pirate: s that we have so far for our March meet.

Todd X 4
Stace X 3
Roger X 4
Monica X 2
Chris X 5
Sara X 3
Andy X 3
Tom (Crash) X 4
Esteri X 4 ? (Did you say you were coming Esteri?)

I have PM'ed Tom (CaptCrash where have you been?), Sooz and Mary (Atakaratemom) to see they are coming. Is there anyone else that we have left out. Are there more West coasters out there that want to come? Time is running out.

Yes you can - Here in NJ you cannot purchase liquor on a Sunday before 12pm so I called the Costco location in Torrance and they said that they open at 10am and do sell liquor and wine at the time they open

I can just see a mad rush through the stores with carts full of wine and liquor
:rotfl: :rotfl: Someone must take a photo of that

Oh that would be hilarious :rotfl2:

Except i wouldn't recommend our stop be at Costco cause not everyone is a member there.

I plan on getting my water and such on the day we get there (since we'll have a car for that day).

Thinking that 10 mins per resort might be a bit too short though considering load time for luggage and variety in pirate time. (For ex: i know my dh's watch is always 5 mins off from mine.:rolleyes1 )

You know there is always that one straggler that is always late. As for Costco. If this is the closest and cheapest, then we will have to find out the cost factor ahead of time and just handover the cash to those that do have the cards.

It's probably best for me that I don't have such easy access to English biscuits! Of course, your kit kats are better too -- they are giant instead of the little bits we have here . . .

It sounds like it would be a logistical mess trying to arrange for the Costco members to purchase for those of us who aren't... Isn't there a regular grocery store or target or something that would work? Costco might be the "cheapest" but if we have to buy a $50 membership that will probably be more than any savings we would get.
