Perhaps if enough interest, one early one later bus?

If there is enough interest, sure . . . in general I think we are an early to port crowd, but anyone PMing Wendy (smeecanada) can specify early or late if it matters to them . . .

Didn't yal say you could buy liquor at the grocery store in CA? Are they going to be able to sell at, say, 10:00 am? That might influence when the busses come if that is on the agenda. Just a thought.

Tom, given that we have this bus for 5 hours, we can certainly stop at more than two hotels -- once we know who is interested, we can set a schedule and be at each one for 10 minutes -- obviously we don't want to stop at 15 hotels because the waiting time gets tedious, but I would think the Hojo and all three Disneyland hotels if there is interest, for sure . . .

Of course Todd may want to take a limo just for the entrance he could make :goodvibes but let's not rule out Disneyland hotel just yet . . .

Well I guess if it were Black , with Black Sails and a Cool Pirate Flag blowing in the wind I guess that could be cool ...you paying ??? LOL

Oh God I forgot about Shutters!

I am sure I am a minority - but we have never bought much from Shutters. Maybe 2 or 3 photos per 7-day cruise. There never seem to be very many of us - we don't do much character meet-n-great and might do 1 formal photo. Of the few that are there, they usually aren't that good - eyes are closed, someone looking away, goofy looks, etc. I don't think I have every seen a candid Shutters photo of us or anyone we were sailing with. I think we may have just bought one on our last cruise - a pirate nite shot with us and a couple friends in costume.

The last time we TRIED to get a good formal photo from Shutters was our 2nd cruise when my parents joined us. I really wanted a good photo of DH, DF and DS in their tuxes. The photographer took 2 shots and was done - this was the best he got. I bought it even though it didn't come out as well as I had hoped. Since then, I have pretty much taken my own photos since I can check right away that they came out OK...

Yes you can - Here in NJ you cannot purchase liquor on a Sunday before 12pm so I called the Costco location in Torrance and they said that they open at 10am and do sell liquor and wine at the time they open

I can just see a mad rush through the stores with carts full of wine and liquor
:rotfl: :rotfl: Someone must take a photo of that

You can buy the liquor at 10 am. You can't buy it from 2am to I think 6am.

Okay , so Disneyland Hotel hasnt been mentioned yet ??? I know there is alot of us staying there ...

Okay on another side note , I need some advice from you west coasters ...were thinking about getting a premium passport due to the fact we will be there alot ...Is it worth it ??? I know we get 20 dollars off for being DVC members which I think brings the price to 359.00 pp we plan on being it DLR 3 days in March then another 3 Days in August and would give us the option to go at any other time ...Plus we could use them in March of 09 for our Birthday weekend , but would have to move it up a weekend so they werent expired ....So , worth it , yes or no ?? or is this just way too much Disney (keep in mind we also have our WDW trips already planned as well ) .... Help me Obi Wan Kanobi ...LOL

Buying 2 sets of 3 day hoppers would be $338 (at current prices) so for just $21 more you get unlimited visits, free parking (only helpful when staying offsite), discounts on all meals and discounts on shopping. I'd say it's worth it. Plus, having the pass allows for last minute trips when you feel you've just got to get away. I've been known to just take off on a Friday after work and head on down for a quick weekend trip.

Yes, the only blockout is 2am-6am (at least I think it's 6). I know by 10am there is definitely no problem.

I would buy the pass. Who knows - you may be able to sneak in another trip. You will get the food discounts and shopping discounts. Plus parking. We were lucky enough to get the Southern California pass before they started checking to see if you actually lived in Southern California.

Wow, Todd -- you make that sound so cool I almost WOULD pay to see it . . .

Jo -- with this group you are likely to see very similar behavior on the ship :lmao: but if I am there for the liquor run I will be sure to take a photo for you!

Except i wouldn't recommend our stop be at Costco cause not everyone is a member there.

I plan on getting my water and such on the day we get there (since we'll have a car for that day).

Thinking that 10 mins per resort might be a bit too short though considering load time for luggage and variety in pirate time. (For ex: i know my dh's watch is always 5 mins off from mine.:rolleyes1 )

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

So here is the question of the day - how is everyone planning on carrying all this rum on the ship? Even with the multi-talented crew we have I don't think there are enough arms to carry everything onboard :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Who has the suite? Party in their room :rolleyes1

One alternative to shutters is to suck up to Crash, he takes 7,000 pics on a 7 night cruise, he should be good for abou 20,000 here and is bound to have a few good ones of each of us......

I'm sure for a few attestations of his innocence he would share them and you can get them printed.....

Ok, to just take the planning up a whole 'nother notch.... anyone interested in a post cruise page on the website where we can all post our photobucket, etc. links to our cruise photos ?

Sounds very interesting Tom.

So I have a question , I see that some of you have been talking about a Bus to the port and I didnt see anything about the Disneyland Hotel ?? Will there be a bus for the DL hotel ??? And are we planning to have these buses arrive at the port early ??? Just trying to figure if we are taking the bus or getting a limo, I just want to be at the port early ...LOL

pirate:

Sorry if I missed this part , I just wanted to make sure before I started to make plans ....

I say the earlier,the better!! :cool1:
