Just a note to any Southern Ontario DISers out there on the Repo. If you want to fly out of Buffalo to save some money on flights, I found that you can stay at the Holiday Inn Express near the airport and park your car for up to 4 weeks. Cost is around $180, including the tax. This includes breakfast and a 24 hour shuttle to the airport. When you factor in the cost of parking (about $37 a week), and the money you save flying out of Buffalo, this seems like a deal to me. Just thought I would pass this on. Hope it is useful to anyone out there!

I don't know about the rest of you but I started my packing list and my non clothes list is much longer then my clothes list. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Things like over the door hanger, all the toiletries for 4 people, hats, sunglasses, etc really adds up

I like to start my list early and add on to it as I remember things but the problem is that I start adding too much. Need to scale it down some before the TOAL date rolls around.

I am not going to overpack! I am not going to overpack!
:rotfl:

So who else has started their packing list or am I the only looney?

I started working on a packing list a few days ago.:sad2:

I'm going to end up paying fees for going over the airlines weight/luggage limit or I'll have to mail a box out ahead of time.

Hey Diane

I also like the idea of a couples brunch! Brendan loved the brunch if I went with out him he would get cranky! We would be interested!

Chrissie

I am thinking the same thing. DH won't care about the tea, but might get upset if I go to a brunch without him. I am thinking 2 brunches, dinner and a tea might be too much. I have to do the tea. I haven't done a high tea since I visited England in 1988...and I love tea.

LOL !!! Can someone send me a link to the website , I forgot to transfer it over to my mac and I dont have the addy ...LOL

Don't look at me, very computer "not savvy", bearly go those pictures posted.

I still don't know how to multiquote.:sad1:

Just saw the year of a million dreams commercial.....and had a thought...I think the dream team members should come aboard our cruise.....

That is why I use excel for my lists. You can update them without them being messy and you can't lose the paper :)

I learned how to use excel, many years ago in a computer class (at least I think it was excel:rolleyes1 )

I'll ask my son, Andrew to help me:thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip:goodvibes

I love it because you can make columns for each person, another for toiletries, another for misc, etc. Keeps it very neat and tidy

My DH isn't interested in brunch - but definately wants to have dinner @ Palo's.

DH would be ok if i sneak away for a brunch. But he'd be real steamed if i tried to have dinner there without him.....

We ate at Palo 3 x's on our 7 day last year (1 brunch, 2 dinners; although one couple did invite us to go the second time; like i'd say no....:rotfl: )

I think i would rather eat at Palo every night then the main dining room.

Or we can draft them into the Swabbies pub crawl whilst y'all are brunching....:lmao:

Sorry cannot help. How about this :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Go Esteri!!!!!

I'll corral the kids into helping. DS6 LOVES to sort - he reshelves all the candy bars at the grocery store.

Hi Esteri ..... I live about 1 hr away from Sacramento. When the time comes for t sh**t sorting/packing let me know. Also, my sisters a lurker on this thread - I can probably drag her along.

Let me know when you're planning on the pack & ship.... I could make a day trip of it. :thumbsup2

Esteri,
Depending on when you are planning to pack & ship - I'm w/Sara - I too will come up - but I'll be in SoCal until mid June.
We can have a packing party!!!

   Look at all those volunteers!!! Pencil in July 1 or 2 for pack and ship day. We'll make a party of it! Anyone who comes to help doesn't have to pay for shipping on their shirts - just pick them up!

So here is the plan... tack an extra dollar or two onto the t-shirt price to fund my plane ticket. I'll fly out for a long weekend - 1 day sorting, packing & shipping - 2 days in Napa!

:rotfl: With all the volunteers I just got - I think you can stay home.

Hey can't you train those MW's? :dog2::dog2:

Haven't you listened to my answering maching message?? "Since their toes are webbed, the dogs can't hold a pencil to take a message. So please, leave one, and if neccessary someone will get back with you."

Those webbed toes - great for swimming, lousy for office work.

An officer's wife without white gloves  The shock  The horror:eek:

No wonder we get along so well!

Ever seen the old game show Supermarket Sweep? I can just picture the two of us with 8 foot long shopping lists and 30 minutes to get it all to the check out!

None of my friends could believe I was marrying an officer. "You? An officer's wife? :rotfl2: Right."

He bought me books on military life before we did the deed, just so I'd know what kind of loony bin I was signing onto.

All his friends said "You? You're marrying someone with FIVE dogs? :rotfl2: You hate dogs."

I drug him to a lot of dog events, just go he'd know what kind of looney bin he was signing onto.

You think they'd believe us when we told tham all that booze was for personal use - we were having a really, really, great party? Nah. The bus will give it away - dead certain.

Since I've only allocated myself three days to unpack the popup camper, and pack for the cruise - having the list complete will be vital to my sanity... :rotfl:

"One doesn't have to drink to be on the fish extender committee -- it was a joke (more or less, anyway!)." I haven't figured out multiquotes yet.

I am not against drinking and do have an occasional glass of wine, but because of health issues I rarely drink. I was just trying to be amusing (unsuccessfully I guess).

That's why we are designated walkers as well......
