Well Pirates, so much for my hope of 2008 being better than 2007. DS is in the hospital again for his depression. I really don't know how much more of this I can take. Please pray for us.

Monica, you have been through such a difficult time . . .:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I'm ready to go NOW!!! I have started a list (in the back of my datebook, where I won't lose it) of things to pack, but I won't actually pull them out until the week before we go.

next to the button that says "quote" there's a little square button with " on the top & + on the bottom. Keep clicking that for people you want to quote, when you reach the end of the thread, click on the "post reply" button at the bottom of the page. This will give you quoted text from every page you clicked the "+ button for.

Well one bonus is that we'll have a bunch of sea days to choose from....

Thanks, let me see if I can do this.

Oh Monica you and your son will most certainly will be in my prayers. If it helps any it can get better. Both my DDs had their problems in their teens and are now relatively well adjusted 20-somethings (25 and 27). OK, the oldest sometimes forgets to take her epilepsy medication and has seizures, but all in all things are much better. So there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

:grouphug: Monica.. prayers for you and your son.

Getting this information helped get my butt in gear and I have finally bought my airfare! We'll have to drive to Milwaukee (probably do two one way rentals). I got pretty good prices and great times. No direct flights though, but I saved about $300 over the direct flights :woohoo:

I am still looking for airfares.. We can drive to Milwaukee too. I'll check into that

I'm sure this has already been posted, but I finally got the rest of the information regarding the onboard check in for flights.

You must have at least one way transfers through DCL from the port to MCO. You can have no more than 2 bags per person weighing no more than 50 pounds each (regardless of what your airline limit is). You must be flying out on the same date the cruise ends. And you must be on one of the following airlines: Air Tran, Alaska, American, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, Northwest, United/Ted or USAir.

Thanks for getting this clarified Tracy. We've decided to fly back home on AirTran so we can take advantage of this. Of course, it means flying back into a different airport than we are leaving from - BUT it does mean that we get to use a car service each way instead of driving and leaving the vehicle at the airport!:cool1:

I'll corral the kids into helping. DS6 LOVES to sort - he reshelves all the candy bars at the grocery store.
I have one of those! DS8 is always sorting, straightening, organizing at school, stores, friends homes, etc. - BUT almost never his own stuff!! :confused3 :rotfl: He does tend to line his stuff up in perfectly straight rows when he does pick up, but most of the time he leaves things a mess. I think it is actually related to the perfectionism - if he can't make it perfectly organized, he isn't going to do it at all...

My wife has a standing list she uses for each WDW trip for herself and our two girls. I think "the list" will have to be augmented for this trip though.

I also have a standing list - actually there are two versions "WDW" and "Cruise". We found out about the TOAL on our last cruise (The itinerary was announced while we were onboard the Magic) and as we were packing up to go home, DH & I were saying that if we could just bring ourselves to pack for a 7-Night cruise it would be about right for a 15 day cruise! I am going to try VERY, VERY hard to remember that when it comes time to pack! :thumbsup2

You are all going to make me start my list aren't you!!!!!!!!!!!

You are using Disney transfers from the PC to MCO correct? If not you cannot use this service.
I am renting a car from PC to MCO so I am stuck lugging my own luggage.

For the two of us, the cost for me to rent a car is close to the cost for the transfers. The flight price was identical between Air Tran and Midwest Express. So for a few more bucks, I don't have to hassle with my luggage in the terminal or to the airport.

We have a combination of 6 people and a later flight so that is why we went w/ the car. I want to sneak in a trip to DTD before our flight.
But... it sure would have been nice to not hassle w/ luggage. Guess that is what tips are for. :)

Well, I just booked our return flight (still don't have the outgoing one!) on AirTran from MCO to Midway Chicago. Not the best I've ever paid - but also not the worst - $120 each for the one-way flight. I would have liked to wait for SouthWest, but we were getting nervous that the labor day holiday might be a very busy day and didn't want to keep waiting. Also, we do have DCL transfers from port to MCO so being able to check the bags and not have to deal with them until we get home sounds pretty good. This is the 1st time we've had transfers - we've always rented a car and spent a couple days at WDW. But this time we have to get back for school. I'm sure a car would be a little cheaper than the transfers, but sometimes I'll pay a little more for convenience. THere are only 3 of us so it isn't too terribly bad...

Any comments on AirTran? We have never flown them before...
