Boy First I cant use my regular screen name, now I have a hard time with this screen name ... and now I can't keep up with this board.. lol

you guys are very buys....

Ok I sent my info today about us... had to take kids to open house and daughter to her Volleyball game...

Is it FRIDAY yet??

When will we know GTY room numbers anyone know??

Say, does anyone know what the door sign rules are? DW wants to know how much can be covered? She's already planning out the signs :joker: but we need to make an extra banner as SIL's princess: birthday is 8/31!!! We'll have to find her some Piglet gear :goodvibes

There are no rules for doorsigns. :goodvibes

Oh please don't say that.
If that is truly going to be the case, I better not get my hopes up for this cruise. Because we simply CAN NOT go if we don't have rooms near one another and I'm not going to pay in full with no chance of refund if we cancel, before finding out if our rooms will be close to one another. That's a bunch of bull making the entire ship (or there abouts- very few people early in the morning were able to actually get stateroom numbers- most got gty) wait that long to find out where they'll be. now I'm bummed.

When I finally got my quote this morning I asked my travel agent about the status of our GTY cabin and when we should know what cabin we are assigned to. She said that after this Saturday's deposit are due that many of those extra booking would be cancelled and many room will become available and given to those with GTY status. I hope she was correct, because I'd hate to have to wait till after the final due date to find out my family was all over the ship.

Exactly. I'd hate that too! It would be a MAJOR pain to have to go on a 15nt cruise with our rooms far apart, different decks, etc. Not only would us parents have to sleep in seperate rooms but it would be a logistical nightmare when getting dressed for dinner/etc, having stuff we SHARE amongst us going from room to room, etc. etc.
My TA basically said the same as you- and I was hoping she was right!

Please allow myself to introduce, umm, myself. We are, tentatively, joining you on your foray to return the Disney Magic to its rightful berth. (I say, tentatively, in the sense that I have yet to figure out how to pay for this trip, although stock fraud is not out of the question, and we have to figure how to deal with our children missing the first week of 1st grade, 7th grade and 9th grade, but we have nonetheless placed our deposit on a pair of cabins (CAT 11 and CAT 6) and closed our eyes to the number of digits to the left of the decimal point on our quote).

So, who are "we"? "We" are a family of five from Chicagoland (GO BEARS!) and this will make our fourth Disney Cruise. I will, if they are nice to me, be bringing along SWMBO (a.k.a DW), DS-to-be-14, DS-to-be-12, and her royal highness, the Princess (DD-to-be-6).

I've read enough of the posts to get the general idea of the conversation (rum good, DCL reservations bad) and look forward to meeting y'all next summer.

Well, ummmm, take that "tentavtively" out of your post. YOU'RE IN NOW!!!!

Seriously, nice to see you here, J.R. I really hope you can swing it (without doing jail time, of course :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Good Luck Sunday :cheer2: :cheer2: . I can only say that because my team lost

And, tell the lovely, SWMBO hello :wave2:

Another '88 college grad here too! I was on the six year plan though because I decided to get married while still finishing college and it slowed me down a bit. I had to learn to bring home the bacon, fry it up in the pan and never let him forget he's a man! College kind of took a back seat that first year.

I'm still trying to perfect that frying thing!

I couldn't have stuck with it that long. I did my degree in 3 years going full time in the summer, taking 21 hours per semester & waiting tables 40 hours a week to pay for it all.

I'm afraid we wouldn't all be going, because we were planning on putting the kids together in one room sandwiched between the other 2. Even though one of the kids is 22, that doesn't make me feel any better knowing that they might be on another area of the ship or even another deck.

That is usually how it happens. Most people on our 12/9 with GTYs didn't get their assignments until a month or even less before.

Yes, but did they book within 30 minutes of the cruise opening up reservations? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . It's maddening, I tell ya

This cruise is like no other...that's for sure. The best way to get an idea is to ask the people who booked the 2005 repos with GTYs.

 WOW! That's waaaaay too ambitious and Type A for me! :faint:

Does anyone watch Greys?? Is this their way or getting Burke off the show??
Sorry.. I had to ask...:happytv:

mmmmmmm cheesesteak
I like mine wit.

That's it.....I'm having a cheesesteak hoagie this weekend!!! ::yes:: I'm just across the river from Philly. In fact I can see the PHL Airport from the end of my street.
